Chapter 1368: Funding Issues

Chapter 1368: Funding Issues

Mo Jiaolan was also a bit surprised, and then said, "Let’s go upstairs first, then call her and see what’s up!"

"Okay!"

Ling Feng nodded, and the two of them went back upstairs together.

Once in the office, Mo Jiaolan took out her phone. Seeing this, Ling Feng reminded her, "Don’t ask too directly at first."

"I know!"

Mo Jiaolan nodded, dialing Miao Ruoruo’s number.

It was noon at that moment. After the phone rang for half a minute, Miao Ruoruo answered, "Sister Jiaolan."

"Ruoruo, what have you been busy with lately? I haven’t seen you for a month!" Mo Jiaolan said with a smile.

"I’ve been a bit busy lately," Miao Ruoruo replied.

"So busy? Do you want me to send some people over to help you out?" Mo Jiaolan asked.

"No need, it will be better in a while, I should be free before the year’s end!" Miao Ruoruo replied.

"Oh."

Mo Jiaolan thought for a moment, then said, "You sound a little tired, make sure to rest!"

"Hmm, I know. Once I get through this busy period, I’ll come to Nine Heavens to see you!" Miao Ruoruo said.

"Alright, we’ll be waiting for you."

Mo Jiaolan smiled and hung up the phone.

Then she looked up at Ling Feng, "You should go check on her yourself. I feel like she’s really going through something, her mood is downcast!"

"This girl, why doesn’t she tell me anything?"

Ling Feng nodded and stood up, "I’ll go and see, and call you back later!"

"Okay!"

Mo Jiaolan said before watching him leave the office.

Ling Feng directly teleported to Wanshou County and arrived at the Miao Family estate.

It had been some time since his last visit. Scanning the place with his Divine Sense, he found the estate empty; even Master Miao wasn’t there, only a few gardeners working in the garden.

Ling Feng went downstairs and out the door. The workers saw him and greeted him warmly.

Once closer, Ling Feng asked, "Why isn’t the master at home?"

"He went out to meet some friends. How did you get here, Mr. Ling? We didn’t see your car," a worker asked.

Ling Feng didn’t answer, instead he asked, "And Ruoruo? Where is she?"

"Miss Ruoruo is at the factory; she hasn’t come home in a few days," the worker replied.

"Got it!"

Ling Feng nodded, turned around, and left.

Leaving the estate, he found a car and headed straight to the mushroom factory.

It was a place he had visited before, but it had been quite some time since his last visit.

Upon arriving, he saw a vast expanse of greenhouses stretching out endlessly. Ling Feng stepped out of the car and made his way toward the office.

Before reaching the door, he saw Miao Ruoruo sitting alone inside, looking troubled, which pained Ling Feng’s heart!

He quickly pushed the door open and approached the office entrance.

The door was locked, so Ling Feng knocked on it.

"What’s up?" Miao Ruoruo asked from inside.

"It’s me, open the door!" Ling Feng said firmly.

The door opened, and a surprised Miao Ruoruo looked at Ling Feng, "You, how did you get here?"

"If I hadn’t come, I wouldn’t have known you’re having issues!"

Ling Feng said, pulling her hand to the sofa and sitting her on his lap, "Tell me, what exactly happened!"

"Nothing, really," Miao Ruoruo said evasively, her gaze shifting.

Seeing this, Ling Feng frowned, "Don’t lie to me. Do you really think I can’t tell something’s wrong? Hurry and spill it!"

"..."

Miao Ruoruo lowered her head and sighed lightly, "How did you know?"

"Li Jianshe called and told me something seemed off on your end, and some people in Wanshou County already know about it!" Ling Feng replied.

"Oh."

Miao Ruoruo nodded, then smiled, "It’s really not a big deal, just some minor financial hiccups!"

"Is that so? Would minor troubles make you look so worried?"

Ling Feng chuckled, hugging her waist tighter, "You know I’m not short of money right now. If it were really a small sum, you wouldn’t be too afraid to tell me!"

Miao Ruoruo: "..."

After a moment of silence, she looked at Ling Feng and said, "This is my own issue; I don’t need your help. Let me resolve it myself!"

"What are you saying!"

Ling Feng gave her a stern look, "Even you are mine, and you think I don’t have the right to get involved in your affairs? Just tell me what’s going on, you can’t hide it anymore!"

Seeing his displeased expression, Miao Ruoruo could only sigh, "Alright."

She then explained the problems she was facing.

It turned out that with the factory continually expanding its production scale, the daily production of edible mushrooms had reached over twenty tons, with a daily output value of more than two hundred thousand. Such a production scale was nearly unmatched in Wanshou County, and even in the province.

However, as the supply became increasingly stable, issues arose with the distributors. Initially, just one or two opted for monthly payments, but gradually all the distributors started delaying payments.

This situation led to financial issues on Miao Ruoruo’s side for purchasing raw materials.

At first, she covered the gap with her own funds, but the hole widened until she had no choice but to consider taking out a loan.

Hearing this, Ling Feng felt a mix of amusement and exasperation, and asked, "So what’s the current funding shortfall?"

"Fifty million."

"Just that much, and it’s got you so worried?"

Ling Feng rolled his eyes, then said, "I’ll have someone transfer five hundred million to you later, should be enough to tide you over, right?"

"..."

Miao Ruoruo sighed upon hearing this, "I don’t want to use your money. Wouldn’t that make me...."

"Make you what? What’s gotten into your head? You used to be so obedient. Now you’ve learned to be disobedient?" Ling Feng gave her a look.

Miao Ruoruo blushed, lowering her head slightly, "I also want to be like Sister Jiaolan, growing the business on my own!"

"You’re mistaken. The Ling Corporation is the result of everyone’s joint effort, not something Jiaolan could have done alone!"

Ling Feng replied, then furrowed his brows, "First, let me solve the funding issue for you. Also, how much do the distributors owe you now?"

"About forty million," Miao Ruoruo said.

Ling Feng frowned, "So much money, and not a single one has paid for the goods?"

Miao Ruoruo nodded, "They seem to have conspired, all more than a month overdue on payments."

"And you’re still supplying them?" Ling Feng said, exasperated.

"The current output consists of fresh mushrooms. If we don’t sell them after harvesting, we can’t store them. They’ve taken advantage of this to stir trouble!" Miao Ruoruo explained.

"I see!"

Ling Feng nodded, promptly saying, "Give me the contact information of these distributors. It’s time I had a talk with those who dare to bully my woman!"
