Sato Saori was startled and quickly stood up!
She realized she was wearing jeans, making it impossible for anything to show, and that’s when she knew Ling Feng had tricked her!
She glared at the smug-looking Ling Feng and sat down, saying, "Boring!"
"Not too bad, but I suggest you go wash your face; you’ve got two tear marks!" Ling Feng said.
Upon hearing this, Sato Saori quickly got up again and ran to the bathroom.
Soon the sound of running water could be heard; indeed, she was washing her face.
After a few minutes, she came out, having dried her face, looking as youthful and lovely as before.
Ling Feng mentally praised her; these Dongying women were indeed stunning beauties. He wondered if every woman there was as pretty?
While lost in thought, Sato Saori sat down and looked at him, "Weren’t you going to ask me a question? You can ask now!"
"Didn’t you just say you didn’t want to talk?" Ling Feng asked.
"That was just now. Now, as your leader, there are some things I can tell you!" Sato Saori said.
"Alright then."
Ling Feng nodded, pondered briefly, and asked, "About earlier, what happened to Qingzi and her people?"
"I sent them back to Dongying!" Sato Saori replied.
"Sent them back? They’re from the Shadow Group. Aren’t you releasing the tiger back to the mountain?" Ling Feng asked.
"They haven’t done anything harmful to Huaxia. Why detain them? Plus, Aunt Qingzi is very good to me, just like my own mom!" Sato Saori explained.
Ling Feng nodded. He didn’t really mind them leaving Huaxia since he had no personal vendetta against them. So he continued to ask, "Haven’t they completed their mission yet?"
Unexpectedly, Sato Saori smiled, "You’re wrong. The mission is complete. The statue has been taken back!"
"Damn!"
Ling Feng stood up, "You actually let them take the thing away?"
"Why so excited?"
Sato Saori rolled her eyes and innocently said, "They took it, so what? It wasn’t of much use left here!"
"You really know what you’re doing!"
Ling Feng knew his opinion didn’t count now. Since Han Wancheng had tacitly approved it, he decided to let it go.
So he sat down, looking at Sato Saori, "But didn’t you think? If it’s something useful to the enemy, it shouldn’t be given to them!"
"I know, but Aunt Qingzi isn’t the enemy!" Sato Saori insisted stubbornly.
"Alright, alright, let’s drop the topic!"
Ling Feng, somewhat helpless, then asked, "Since the item is gone, and so are the people, why did Director Han say you’re responsible for this, and I should listen to you?"
Sato Saori smiled.
Seeing her strange smile, Ling Feng’s heart skipped a beat, "Damn, you don’t have some scheme, do you?"
"Pfft, what’s with the imagination? Do I seem like I would have ulterior motives against you?"
Sato Saori rolled her eyes again and continued, "Well, there’s still one thing that hasn’t been found yet!"
"Then you can go look for it. I’m too lazy to bother!" Ling Feng said plainly.
"Why?"
Sato Saori was stunned.
"Even if you find it, you’ll have to give it to Qingzi. Why should I bother?" Ling Feng said.
"Oh well, if you’re not going, I’ll call Uncle Han and tell him you’re not following orders!"
Sato Saori said, picking up the phone from the coffee table.
Seeing this, Ling Feng immediately caved in, "No, no, no, I’ll go, okay?"
"For real?" Sato Saori looked skeptical.
Ling Feng nodded, "For real, not lying to you!"
"Alright then!"
Sato Saori nodded in satisfaction and put away the phone.
Standing up, she looked at Ling Feng, "Since you promised to be obedient, I can let you off the hook. Follow me now!"
"Where to?" Ling Feng got up and asked.
"You’ll know once we get there!"
Sato Saori said, turning to leave.
Seeing her round and slender legs, Ling Feng’s heart skipped a beat, and he quickly followed.
After going downstairs, Sato Saori got straight into a red sports car.
The car was a convertible, the kind with only two seats. Ling Feng couldn’t help but chuckle bitterly, "You even drove here?"
"I rented it, so?"
Sato Saori got in the car and shot him a glance.
"Nothing, just asking."
Ling Feng got in the car, feeling a bit cramped in the narrow space, and shook his head, "An off-road vehicle would be more comfortable; your car is too small!"
"Maybe you’re just too fat?"
Sato Saori gave a side-eye and started the car.
After leaving the hotel parking lot, she drove straight toward the north of the city.
Seeing they were about to leave the city, Ling Feng couldn’t help but feel puzzled and wondered where they were going.
He initially thought she was going to the south of the city, to Chamo Lake, but unexpectedly it was the opposite direction. Ling Feng, a bit confused, asked, "Where are we going exactly?"
"Why are you in such a hurry? You’ll know when we get there, unless you think I’ll kidnap you?"
Sato Saori asked, a bit impatiently.
Ling Feng had no choice but to stop asking.
The car left the city and continued north along the highway for over an hour!
Now, they had left Yangjing County by more than 50 kilometers. Ling Feng couldn’t resist, "Hey, how much longer to go?"
"Still a while. We’ll need to get on the highway soon!" Sato Saori said.
"Uh, you’re not planning to drive back to the Capital City, are you?" Ling Feng asked, surprised.
"Do you think I’m crazy?"
Sato Saori gave him a look and then said, "Our destination this time is 200 kilometers away, so just be patient!"
Ling Feng was at a loss for words and looked at the sky, "Then you’d better drive faster, or we won’t make it before dark!"
"No need for you to worry!"
Sato Saori said, but she did press the gas pedal a little harder, speeding up.
After getting on the highway, she set the cruise control before stretching lazily, "Driving is such a pain, makes my back sore."
Seeing her like this, with her chest rising high, Ling Feng gulped, "If it were any other car, I’d drive for a bit, but this car obviously suits women, so I stayed quiet."

He didn’t say anything, just thought to himself, wait and see, after a few hours on the highway, she’ll be in for a crying spree when we stop!
As the sky gradually darkened, they reached a destination near the end of the route and exited the highway at an exit called Ma Jiaying.
Once on the regular road, Sato Saori shook her hair, "Let’s find a place to stay. I need to wash my hair."
"You mean we’re staying overnight and handling things tomorrow?" Ling Feng asked.
