The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1223 Bold Idea

Chapter 1223 Bold Idea

Pete was dumbfounded: "Overnight?"

"Yes, arrived at the border last night, then came over. Now stop talking, drive!" Ling Feng said.

"Alright!"

Pete snapped out of it, quickly turned the car around, and headed towards Rome.

While on the way, Ling Feng casually asked, "So, have you figured out the things I asked you to investigate?"

"I figured it out, but...."

Pete hesitated for a moment, turned to look at Ling Feng, and said with a forced smile, "Boss, don’t be mad when I say that what you want to do is extremely difficult. I feel it’s impossible to achieve!"

"You don’t need to worry about that. You just need to find the right place for me, confirm the time, and leave the rest to me!" Ling Feng said flatly.

"Okay."

Pete sighed, holding the steering wheel with a worried look on his face, but said nothing.

After entering the city, the car twisted and turned until it quickly arrived at his apartment.

It was a tall apartment building with over ten floors, each floor having over ten units rented by different tenants.

Pete’s apartment was a two-bedroom unit. Upon entering, it looked clean and tidy, and Ling Feng nodded approvingly: "Not bad, didn’t expect a big man like you to be so organized!"

"No way, I knew there was a lady coming over, so I specifically hired a cleaning company to tidy up!" Pete said with an embarrassed smile.

Ling Feng was momentarily speechless.

After sitting down, Ling Yao went to the bathroom to remove her makeup.

This disguise was no longer needed here. Later, she’d change her look before going out, not needing the clothes she came in with, which she’d simply stash into her bracelet.

Ling Feng, on the other hand, wasn’t as particular. He just tugged at his face until the disguised makeup was removed.

Seeing him return to his true appearance, Pete finally believed the person before him was indeed Ling Feng.

He then took out the material he had prepared beforehand, handed it to Ling Feng, and said, "Boss, everything you wanted is in here."

Ling Feng nodded and began to read.

The mastermind behind the plot to murder the Black Dragon King was someone named Abdul, a bishop only second to the Pope, in charge of The Holy See’s activities in Asia.

Ling Feng’s target this time was him. As the saying goes, it’s rude not to return a favor. Since he sent someone to assassinate the Black Dragon King, he should also experience what it’s like to be assassinated!

Even though everyone knew when discussing this matter before that if anything happened to Abdul, The Holy See would undoubtedly be enraged, and the consequences might be severe, Ling Feng still felt they needed to show them some force, cut them down to size!

Otherwise, this bunch would really think they could do whatever they wanted everywhere!

So after discussion, Ghost Master and others agreed to his idea, kill one as a warning to a hundred!

One of the pieces of information Pete gathered was Abdul’s activity track.

This person, over sixty years old, had a nearly unchanging itinerary every day, either going to the mini-nation where The Holy See was located or the church.

He held high status and authority, always seeming to have just two or three attendants when going out, but in reality, at least five people from the Knight Order were secretly protecting him!

This shows that the old guy feared death, knowing too well that bad deeds often bring retribution, so he was being extra cautious.

The Knight Order was strong, but they weren’t on Ling Feng’s threat list, and he didn’t want to confront them directly to avoid giving anything away.

So he asked Pete to get him a blueprint of the cathedral, a place Abdul often visited, where it would be more suitable to find an opportunity to act when Abdul was alone.

As for the second document, it was something Ling Feng suddenly thought of while on the cruise.

Since coming such a long way, simply dealing with someone from The Holy See wouldn’t be satisfying enough. He heard this organization had a very long history, likely amassed a great fortune, and he thought that he shouldn’t return empty-handed. If he could rob them of all their money, wouldn’t that be a great deal?

When he expressed this idea to Pete, it scared Pete out of his wits.

Yet, thankfully, this guy was indeed diligent; despite feeling Ling Feng’s idea was too shocking, Pete managed to find the location of The Holy See’s treasury!

After seeing the information Pete provided, Ling Feng furrowed his brows, "It really is quite challenging!"

"Indeed, Boss, look at this, the treasury door is a solid piece of steel, over 1.5 meters thick. Even if you had a blade that could cut iron like mud, you couldn’t penetrate it!"

Pete smiled wryly, continuing, "Plus, the location is 30 meters underground, with only one tunnel entrance equipped with various surveillance devices operating 24/7. Not even a fly could get in!"

"Hmm, I definitely need to study this carefully!"

Ling Feng nodded, squinting his eyes in contemplation.

Giving up this plan was absolutely impossible for him; having stolen another person’s warship last time had already gotten him hooked. Not taking something from the enemy’s territory wouldn’t feel right.

Besides, there’s no absolutely safe place in the world; there must be a loophole!

Just as he was thinking, the phone suddenly rang.

It was his satellite phone for convenient contact back home.

Upon answering, Mo Jiaolan’s voice came through the receiver: "It looks like you’ve already reached the destination?"

"That’s right, just arrived. Missed me?" Ling Feng asked with a grin.

Mo Jiaolan was momentarily speechless, then said teasingly, "Save the chit-chat, Zuo Zhu just contacted me!"

"Oh? What did she want?" Ling Feng asked, puzzled.

"Zuo Zhu said that since everyone is allies now, there’s no need to hide anything. That silver box you obtained earlier can be opened, and it might help with your mission this time!" Mo Jiaolan said.

"Oh?"

Ling Feng was even more taken aback.

The Zoran sisters had decided to stay at Nine Heavens and later went to Lingyun Island, with Zuo Zhu agreeing to have her submarine stationed there as part of the defense force.

Her subordinates were all called back to stay by her side.

Though the past grudges were resolved, Ling Feng hadn’t expected her to be so proactive in helping him.

So he didn’t ask much, chatted with Mo Jiaolan for a bit, then hung up the phone before pulling out the box from his bracelet.

When he saw the box earlier, he hadn’t found any switches to open it. At the time, respecting others, he didn’t force it open.

Now that Zuo Zhu had agreed, there was no need to hold back, so Ling Feng directly used the God Slayer Saber to slice open the side of the box.

A moment later, the box was fully opened, revealing its contents.

There were quite a few miscellaneous items, even girls’ hairpins and hair ties, which by the color seemed to be Zuo Zhu’s childhood belongings.

Ling Feng was speechless, wondering how these things could possibly help him?

But soon his eyes were drawn to a document folder because it was labeled with several Huaxia characters: "Sun Replacement Plan!"
