Chapter 1219: An Island

Ling Yao knew the scene to follow would be unpleasant, so she chose to avoid it.

After she left, Ling Feng looked at Cheng Gong: "Your audacity knows no bounds, now is the time for you to pay the price!"

"No, no..."

Cheng Gong trembled with fear, feeling his life was in danger, so he quickly begged for mercy.

"When you wanted to do evil, why didn’t you think about facing this moment?"

Ling Feng sneered, striking like lightning, and knocked him out directly!

Then he reached out to grab Cheng Gong’s fat body and tossed it out from the terrace!

"I was wondering why you’re suddenly so capable in the outside world; turns out it’s not an ability you can use all the time?" Ling Feng asked.

"Yeah, what I did earlier was already quite good; when I first met you, I was just like an ordinary person outside!" Ling Yao replied.

Ling Feng chuckled, sat down and held her hand: "Do you need me to help you recover?"

"No need, just resting for a while will do. Fully recovering takes some time, and I won’t be able to assist you for now," Ling Yao said softly.

"No worries, I can handle sudden issues on my own; besides, we can’t be so unlucky as to face situations throughout our journey, can we?" Ling Feng said with a smile.

Due to the pirate hijacking incident, the cruise liner stayed at the port for a few more hours, and only after the local police conducted an investigation were the ships allowed to leave.

Regarding Cheng Gong’s fall into the sea, the police didn’t delve deeply, merely classifying it as an accidental event, then dispatched a vessel for a recovery operation.

Whether or not they recovered anything remains unknown, as the cruise liner had already set off for the next destination by then.

In the days that followed, nothing noteworthy occurred. Ling Feng and Ling Yao, like other couples, enjoyed their time aboard the ship, disembarking to explore local customs whenever they docked, and were quite happy.

Since the trip required over twenty days, Ling Feng cherished this period of solitude with her, striving to make Ling Yao happy; although not a honeymoon, their tacit understanding and feelings deepened greatly.

Until this day, the cruise liner entered the Indian Ocean.

Ling Feng spread out a world map in the living room, realizing the ship had only covered half of the journey, and it would take more than ten days to reach Europe.

This was no issue, as his relationship with Ling Yao was growing ever closer; even if they stayed aboard for another month, he had no problem.

Ling Yao felt the same; the rare chance for them to be alone was enjoyable, despite the long voyage.

Seeing Ling Feng looking at the map, she walked over and sat beside him, then asked: "What are you looking at?"

"I never paid much attention before, now I know where things are; we’re nearing Country A-San’s territory soon," Ling Feng said with a laugh.

"Oh, is that place fun?" Ling Yao asked.

"Seems not so great and rather chaotic; heard that incidents of women being violated happen frequently!" Ling Feng said with a wry smile.

After hearing this, Ling Yao sighed and said: "Then let’s not disembark."

Ling Feng knew she felt uneasy, so he nodded: "Alright."

However, on the way to Country A-San’s port, it was already late at night when Ling Yao suddenly said: "There’s an island over there!"

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng was taken aback by her words, looking in the direction she pointed: "Where?"

"Your divine sense can’t see it; it’s at least ten kilometers away from here!" Ling Yao said.

"Then how did you discover it?" Ling Feng asked, full of curiosity.

"I don’t know, just a feeling!"

Ling Yao looked bewildered, murmuring to herself.

Ling Feng muttered an "Oh" in response, then thought for a moment: "Want to go over and check it out?"

"Can we?" Ling Yao turned and asked.

Ling Feng chuckled: "Of course we can. We’ll leave a Teleportation Array in the room, sneak off to the island, and even if the cruise liner moves hundreds of kilometers away, we can teleport back!"

"That’s right, you’ve got so many ideas!"

Ling Yao laughed, then said: "Let’s go check it out then. I feel there’s something on that island attracting me, otherwise, I wouldn’t have sensed its existence!"

"Alright!"

Ling Feng nodded: "I’ll go speak with Little Dao first, then let’s head off!"

As midnight approached, the tourists on the ship were all resting, only the engine’s faint sound surrounded them.

Ling Feng and Ling Yao arrived at the lower deck, both dressed in black waterproof suits, then Ling Feng held her waist and jumped into the sea.

With their current abilities, moving through the water felt no different than on land; the ten-kilometer journey took only twenty minutes.

Once ashore, rather than immediately exploring the island, they started a bonfire on the beach.

Noticing his attention, Ling Yao smiled and asked: "What’s up?"

"Nothing, just thinking you look lovely," Ling Feng said, at a loss for other words, smiling.

Ling Yao smiled as well, saying nothing.

No words were needed; just one glance was enough to sweeten their hearts like being full of honey.

A few hours later, the sky gradually brightened, a glimmer of sunlight rose from the horizon, and soon, the morning sun emerged from the ocean.

Ling Feng led Ling Yao by the hand to a higher vantage point, revealing the island’s entirety.

Both were taken aback.

This was a ring-shaped island, surrounded by a circle of rocks several meters high, with a vast basin within.

It resembled a volcanic crater, only with a much larger area!

Observing this immense plain, Ling Feng was stunned and said: "Such a huge area, how did it form?"

Ling Yao naturally couldn’t answer him, gazing at the plain ahead, murmuring: "What a wonderful place this is!"
