Chapter 1176: Too Hasty
Chapter 1176: Too Hasty
Ling Feng looked at Long Xiaoyu. This little girl, with her seemingly harmless and adorable loli appearance, managed to drink a bowl of liquor without tasting it properly. Truly, no one else could pull that off.
Although her reaction was amusing, knowing her true identity made Ling Feng completely unwilling to tease her. He obediently poured her another bowl!
"Gulp, gulp..."
After downing it in two or three gulps, Long Xiaoyu let out a satisfied "Ah" and then praised, "Good liquor!"
"As long as you like it! Once the brewery starts production, I’ll make sure to send more your way!" Ling Feng said with a smile.
If even the Dragon God liked this liquor, then it would definitely sell well in the future!
"Alright then, I won’t take your red wine anymore. I’ll wait for this rice wine instead!"
Long Xiaoyu made her declaration, spun lightly on her toes, and began strolling toward the hotel.
Ling Feng was stunned for a moment and hurriedly grabbed the wine jar to follow her. "You’re not buying the red wine?"
"That’s right! This rice wine tastes better than red wine. I want a change in flavors!" Long Xiaoyu replied.
"Uh, but we’ll need some time to finish brewing the rice wine!" Ling Feng explained.
"Why?" Long Xiaoyu asked, tilting her head.
Ling Feng gave a wry smile. "The brewery hasn’t been built yet."
"Oh, well, then take me to have a look. Maybe I can help you with something!" Long Xiaoyu suggested.
"Really? That would be amazing!"
Ling Feng wasn’t sure how she could help, but knowing her abilities, he was confident she’d save him a lot of trouble.
Back at the hotel, Ling Feng explained the situation to the group, even Ling Yao was left speechless. Two bowls of rice wine were enough to win over Long Xiaoyu? Ling Feng had just saved himself a fortune worth millions!
Shortly after, Ling Feng and Long Xiaoyu teleported back to Nine Heavens, then rerouted to Shankou Village.
It was now deep into the night. Shankou Village was shrouded in darkness with all the households fast asleep.
The two of them crossed mountains quietly, arriving at Tang Family Village. Using Divine Sense to scout, Ling Feng led Long Xiaoyu to the brewery’s construction site.
It was a patch of land dug out from the hillside, roughly the size of a football field. The area was silent, and Long Xiaoyu began wandering around, observing the site east and west. Finally, she turned and asked, "This place is so small; how much liquor can you brew here?"
"With modern technology, brewing a few tons a day shouldn’t be a problem. The only tricky part is the aging process—we need sufficient space to store the liquor!" Ling Feng explained.
"Oh, then let me create a space for storing it!"
Long Xiaoyu nodded, stepping to the edge of the newly dug cliffside, then extended her finger.
A flash of white light appeared momentarily and instantly faded, but Ling Feng noticed a whirlpool the size of a bowl forming at her fingertip.
Curious but hesitant to interrupt, Ling Feng quietly observed.
The black whirlpool slowly expanded and eventually transformed into a black sphere about three meters in diameter.
Then, with a delicate yet mischievous sound of "Heh," Long Xiaoyu pushed the whirlpool into the cliffside.
Despite her cute voice, Ling Feng couldn’t help but ask, "What are you doing?"
"I created a storage for your liquor. Go inside and take a look!" Long Xiaoyu replied proudly.
Ling Feng hesitated for a moment, noticing the cliff looked unchanged. He reached out cautiously, and to his surprise, his hand slipped through—it was a hidden entrance to a space!
Stepping through, Ling Feng found himself inside an enormous black space.
With his Divine Sense sweeping across the area, he realized the space’s diameter exceeded a thousand meters, and he couldn’t detect its boundary!
Behind him, Long Xiaoyu’s cheerful voice chimed, "So, what do you think? Big enough, huh?"
"More than big enough—it’s massive! You could store tens of thousands of tons of liquor here without any problem!" Ling Feng exclaimed.
Most people measured storage in square meters, but Ling Feng’s space here could be calculated in square kilometers!
Still stunned, Ling Feng turned to Long Xiaoyu. "You can actually create a space this large?"
His Space Bracelet, which she had given him, was capable of creating space. Yet this colossal space, far beyond the reach of Divine Sense, completely blew his mind.
"This isn’t something I created; it’s my Dragon God Space. I haven’t been using it much in Nine Heavens, so I loaned it to you for liquor storage!"
Long Xiaoyu pouted and added, "The production scale here is so small. This space might seem massive, but you only need to install a single lamp to light up the entire area. Then you can just toss in whatever you have, and it’ll never be filled up!"
"..."
Ling Feng stared in disbelief, smacking his lips. "This sounds like the mythical Universe Gourd, capable of holding anything!"
"Universe Gourd? What’s that?" Long Xiaoyu tilted her head inquisitively.
"It’s something from ancient legends. By the way, based on what you said, can I set up a small Formation here to accelerate the aging process? Turning fresh liquor into aged wine like the one you just had?" Ling Feng asked.
"Formation? For what purpose?" Long Xiaoyu responded.
"To fast-track the maturation process—transform fresh liquor into premium aged wine in a short time!" Ling Feng explained.
Long Xiaoyu made an "Oh" sound. "That makes sense. You’re right, just a small Formation would do!"
"Fantastic! You’ve done me a huge favor!"
Ling Feng clapped his hands together and said, "At daybreak, I’ll inform the construction team to expand this site as much as possible. I need to scale up production!"
"I don’t care about the others. Just make sure to send me the liquor once it’s ready!"
Long Xiaoyu said this and turned to leave the space.
Ling Feng hurried after her, asking, "Um, this entrance is a bit too mystical. Won’t the workers be confused going in and out every day?"
"Oh, that’s simple!"
Long Xiaoyu extended her tiny hand, and the cliffside transformed into a normal-looking, three-meter-wide dark tunnel.
She glanced at Ling Feng and asked, "Looks more natural now, doesn’t it?"
"Perfect, perfect! This works great!"
Ling Feng nodded enthusiastically.
"Alright, I’ll head back now. You deal with the rest!"
Long Xiaoyu turned and prepared to leave.
"Wait!"
Ling Feng called out and instinctively grabbed her hand.
"Hm? What is it now?"
Long Xiaoyu stopped, blinking her big eyes in confusion.
Ling Feng stared at her hand, wondering what had gotten into him. Had he gone insane, daring to hold her hand?
How reckless!
Unfortunately, the realization came too late—her hand was already in his grasp. How could he avoid offending her and craft a reasonable explanation? This was the immediate challenge Ling Feng faced!
After all, he couldn’t predict what Long Xiaoyu was thinking, and using the Mind Soul Art on her was absolutely out of question—it would surely lead to disastrous consequences!
An enraged Dragon God? Ling Feng couldn’t possibly endure that!
Now stuck, Ling Feng hesitated, gently rubbing Long Xiaoyu’s soft hand while his mind frantically raced to piece together an adequate excuse.
