The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1159: Huge Funds

Chapter 1159: Huge Funds

Mo Jiaolan wasn’t at the office today; instead, she had gone home.

When Ling Feng drove over, she was already waiting in the living room.

Seeing her dressed in a nightgown with her hair slightly messy, Ling Feng felt a pang of heartache and then stepped forward to hold her hand. "If I’d known you were asleep, I wouldn’t have called."

"Don’t say that. Are you hungry? Want me to cook something for you?" Mo Jiaolan asked with a smile.

"No need, you should keep resting."

Ling Feng said and pulled her into the bedroom.

Once they lay on the bed, Mo Jiaolan naturally snuggled into his arms and asked, "You came looking for me—there must be something you need to talk about, right?"

"Yeah, but it’s not a big deal. I can handle it myself."

Ling Feng replied, then told her about the situation with the Mountain God Temple.

After listening, Mo Jiaolan nodded. "If you can manage on your own, then go ahead. Just call me if there’s anything you need."

"Alright."

Ling Feng hugged her shoulders and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Alright, go back to sleep."

But Mo Jiaolan’s drowsiness had already vanished. She wriggled in his embrace and said, "I’m not tired anymore. Actually, you came at the right time—I have something to tell you too."

"What is it?" Ling Feng asked.

"The group’s business is expanding too fast. Recently, the company’s cash flow has been under strain!" Mo Jiaolan said.

Ling Feng froze for a moment. "Really? I’ll figure something out!"

"No need to panic. Once the hot spring project begins production, and the Mianluo Country port begins operations, funds will gradually flow back in!" Mo Jiaolan said.

"That’s too slow! Things in Shiliu Village can’t be delayed. We need a lot of funds soon. Before winter, I have to start the first batch of planting projects!"

Ling Feng said, then furrowed his brow. "Leave the money issue to me; I’ll definitely find a solution!"

"What solution do you have?"

Mo Jiaolan raised her head to look at him. "Gambling on stones might net you tens of millions, even up to a billion quickly, but the group’s operations can’t be sustained on such a small amount. It’ll need at least billions."

"I know. Solutions come to those who make the effort! Just leave it to me!"

Ling Feng smiled nonchalantly.

Then he turned to look at Mo Jiaolan. "You’re really not sleepy anymore?"

"Yeah, I already napped for a while and feel rested," Mo Jiaolan nodded.

Ling Feng chuckled mischievously. "Then I won’t hold back!"

With that, one of his big hands reached for her chest.

Mo Jiaolan froze, her face quickly turning red, and playfully scolded, "You rascal, so this was your main intent all along, wasn’t it?"

"Haha..."

Ling Feng grinned and pounced on her!

...

...

Early the next morning, just as daylight began to break, Ling Feng left Mo Jiaolan’s house and drove straight to Mountain God Temple Village.

When he arrived back at the village, a faint blue cooking smoke hung in the air. The villagers were busy preparing breakfast.

Ling Feng parked the car and walked in to see Chen Yan and Ye Qian already up. He smiled and asked, "Did you both sleep well last night?"

"If not for what happened with that woman, I could’ve slept just fine!" Chen Yan pouted as she responded.

Thinking back to her snuggling into his arms, Ling Feng smiled but said nothing.

"Big brother, are we heading back today?" Chen Yan asked.

"Yeah. After I discuss things with the Village Chief, we’ll go back!" Ling Feng replied.

After breakfast, he immediately went to find Liu Fu.

The older man had already talked to every household the previous day. As soon as they heard someone wanted to invest and help everyone get rich, most of the villagers were delighted and agreed.

The next steps were figuring out how to utilize the mountainous resources and expand poultry farming.

The two discussed the initial plans, agreeing that the first thing needed was a substantial investment of money.

The village’s land and mountains could be used freely—no need for leases or contracts—but the equipment required for poultry farming would cost a significant sum.

Ling Feng still had a few million in his accounts, but it was clearly insufficient.

Considering what Mo Jiaolan said the previous night—that money was tight—Ling Feng promised to send people with funds soon to help the villagers start farming. He also realized his next immediate goal was to figure out how to acquire more money!

As he left Mountain God Temple Village, Liu Fu led all the villagers in seeing Ling Feng off. Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the car slowly pulled away.

Not far down the road, Chen Yan couldn’t help but ask, "Big brother, are we just setting aside the Fuxi matter for now?"

"Don’t worry. I’ll come back in a while!" Ling Feng replied.

"Oh, okay then."

Chen Yan felt a sense of loss. Once they returned, it seemed unlikely she’d have another chance to work with him on missions.

Ling Feng didn’t know her thoughts. His mind was occupied with his plans—how to quickly raise a fortune to fund his projects!

On the way back to Longyuan, Zhang He called. Ling Feng answered and said, "I’m already on my way back!"

"Oh, just letting you know—Sato Saori has left!" Zhang He said.

"Left? Where did she go?" Ling Feng asked in surprise, wondering if she escaped or something.

But Zhang He clarified. "It was an order from above. Turns out her background is quite strong. The military high-ups intervened and let her go!"

"What?"

Ling Feng’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Seriously? They’re just letting her walk free?"

"Yep. I was shocked too. I talked to Director Han, but he told me not to worry about it. He said the higher-ups have their own arrangements for her and that it’s out of our hands," Zhang He said.

"Alright, got it."

Ling Feng sighed, hung up, and explained the situation to Chen Yan and Ye Qian.

The two women were shocked as well, unable to believe the level of influence Sato Saori had.

A Dongying national gaining such favor from Huaxia’s leadership? It left them puzzled.

Unfortunately, only people like Han Wancheng at that level could know the truth behind it all. But of course, they wouldn’t share it!

Ling Feng felt helpless but had no choice but to let the matter drop.

When he returned to Longyuan, he briefed Zhang He on his findings at Mountain God Temple before saying, "I plan to keep the Spirit of Vegetation myself. It’ll be very useful to me."

"Hmm... That’s not really by the book. Such a rare treasure—anyone could benefit from it," Zhang He replied in concern.

"But I should have priority, right? Why don’t you call the higher-ups and ask them?" Ling Feng chuckled.

Zhang He rolled his eyes. "No need. I can make that call myself!"

"Thanks a lot!"

Ling Feng grinned, then asked, "By the way, let me ask you something. If I wanted to quickly raise a large sum of money, what would be the best thing to do?"

Zhang He paused. "Large sum? How much are you thinking?"

"Uh... tens of billions, maybe over a hundred billion," Ling Feng replied.

"Holy crap! You’re looking for a lot! If you want that kind of money fast, you’d have to rob a bank!" Zhang He exclaimed.

Ling Feng laughed. "If I had the chance, I wouldn’t mind doing that!"
