Chapter 86: It seems I’m quite special, then.
Chapter 86: It seems I’m quite special, then.
Ethan’s fingers closed around the soft, supple flesh of Evelyn’s bottom, his grip firm enough to draw a sweet sigh from her lips.
"Mmm~~ ah~ why didn’t you tell us you’d found another woman?"
"Because you were meditating, remember? You two left your husband to endure so many cold nights..." he teased, though his expression quickly turned serious.
He leaned over Evelyn, his lips finding hers in a kiss that was short but intense, his tongue pressing past hers.
When they parted, his lips curved into a soft smile.
"Her name is Elena, and she’s going to be very important to Goldenveil’s development. She has the same origin as you, so be kind to her, okay?"
Alice left Elena’s arms after a moment, turning to her husband with a puzzled look.
"Why are you so serious?" she asked, tilting her beautiful face slightly to the side. "Did something happen?"
"A goblin attack is approaching Goldenveil." Ethan released Evelyn and pulled Alice into his arms instead, kissing her just the same.
"Hmm~~" she moaned softly against his mouth, worry filling her eyes the moment the words registered.
"I-I’ll go get more suitable clothes..." Alice stepped back quickly, nodding respectfully to Elena before heading up to the bedroom.
Evelyn followed without a word.
Ethan watched the two of them climb the stairs, a quiet sigh slipping past his lips.
"They are sweet and beautiful girls..."
"Sweet? Even Evelyn?"
"There’s sweetness even in fruits with thorns. You know how to appreciate her, don’t you?" Elena’s lips curved before he could reply.
"I know you appreciate her. She has the look of a well-loved woman..."
She drew closer to him, her hands resting gently on his shoulders.
Her ample breasts pressed against his chest, warm and full, the soft weight of them settling against him with tenderness.
"It’s rare among nobles."
"Is that a compliment?" Ethan asked, his hands finding her hips.
He kept a respectful distance, neither pressing too hard nor pulling back too much.
He understood that Elena wasn’t a woman who could be taken without care. That she allowed his touch at all was already good enough.
"You know... I turned down about a hundred marriage proposals during the seven years I served the Fallen Sun Empire..."
"And none of them were worthy of those words?"
"No." Elena shook her head. "Not even one."
"Ah... it seems I’m quite special, then." Ethan smiled, and the same smile appeared on her face.
"Go prepare Goldenveil’s defenses... I don’t want you to die before I can prove my worth to you, my lord."
She gave his chest a gentle, lingering pat before stepping back.
"I can use your office, right? I already know everything I need to know about Goldenveil and I want to get to work."
Ethan nodded.
It was hard to let her go.
Hard to lose the soft pressure of those enormous breasts against his chest, and harder still to let her sweet floral scent drift away from him.
But that was how life worked.
He would find his way back to her side soon enough.
With a quiet sigh, Ethan waited for Alice and Evelyn to come back down.
The tanned beauty descended with a lively energy in her step, clearly delighted at the prospect of putting her axe to use.
The golden-haired beauty, however, carried a simpler joy, that of being useful to her husband.
Even she was dressed in leather and steel armor over her delicate brown dress.
Evelyn had never been fond of armor, but Alice had made sure she wore it all the same.
"That woman... are you going to take her as your?" Alice asked, latching onto Ethan’s arm as they fell into step together.
"Maybe..." Ethan replied, though he was already certain he would take her as his, sooner or later.
"Looks like our shameless man already has a favorite, Alice..." Evelyn shook her head with a playful tilt. "Elena used her huge boobs to completely dominate him!"
"What a truly despicable hubby we’ve chosen..." Alice sighed, her face folding into the expression of a wounded puppy.
That expression lasted exactly until both of them caught the look on Ethan’s face.
They burst into bright, playful laughter.
"Ah... you two really don’t give your dear husband any breathing room, do you? Are you trying to break my heart?" Ethan slumped his shoulders dramatically.
"It’s okay, husband. Elena seems like a good woman." Alice’s voice softened as she spoke.
She claimed his left side, pressing close and hugging him tight.
"Yes, and you can call her mommy whenever you want, fufufu~~" Evelyn took his right, her silver-gray eyes sparkling with amusement as she nestled against him.
His hands moved to stroke the hair of each woman.
Their large breasts, a little smaller than Elena’s but no less perfect, pressed warmly against his ribs from either side, full and soft.
He really couldn’t complain about life.
After a moment, the two of them stepped back while Ethan went to organize Goldenveil’s defenses alongside Doran.

While Goldenveil prepared, more than six hundred goblins had gathered in the combined camps of the two tribes.
Their roars echoed through the surrounding forest, laden with savagery and hunger.
Today, they would feast on human flesh. How could they not be happy?
They had a large stockpile for the winter, yes, but those couldn’t be touched yet.
They needed to be fattened and prepared, so they could have a reliable food supply when the first snow fell.
The leaders of the two great camps, four second-stage hobgoblins, surveyed the seething mass of creatures with cold, measuring eyes.
Their intelligence didn’t reach human levels, but hobgoblins were capable of speech and possessed a functional strategic mind.
Gathering this many goblins had taken effort. It had been worth it.
The most powerful among them raised a massive leather banner high above his head and let out a roar, announcing the start of the march.
Today, they would bring blood, steel, and destruction to those damned humans.
