Chapter 392: Let Me See.

While he was shocked, Slav’s eyes glowed a golden hue as he also examined Loki. What he saw made him furrow his brows and say, "You are quite outstanding. You already have a divine Life Ability while you are still at rank 4. But I don’t see how this is any good for me."

"Even more strangely is that I can’t tell exactly what is so bad about you. Could it be that you’re hiding something from me?"

After saying this, he beckoned to Loki with his hand and said, "If you’re hiding something, let me see it. Let me see what’s so special about you."

He was talking as if he was asking Loki for the privilege. But he wasn’t actually asking and had already made a move to get what he wanted.

So, as he spoke, Loki saw a large mental world rise up from Slav’s head and sweep towards him. If it were a normal mental world, he would take it seriously, but he wouldn’t be afraid. But this mental world was not normal at all.

In fact, this mental world looked like solid matter, not a mental construct. So it didn’t look like a mental attack was about to strike him. It looked like a solid mountain was about to smash him.

The last time he had seen something like this was when that divine being wanted to enslave him in the small world. The mental influence of that divine being had looked like an ocean trying to submerge his mind. But this one was a mountain even bigger than that ocean.

However, what made his eyes widen in shock was that he caught glimpses of the scenery of this mental world. As the mental world hurtled towards him, he saw scenes of a fragmented world made of glass.

He had seen this world before, and he had even clashed with it before, so he knew that he was no match for it at all. He didn’t want his mind to be trapped and separated from his body, unable to activate any Metac, so he immediately committed suicide.

Immediately he did this, Slav’s eyes widened in shock, and he said, "The Rewind Metac. How is it with you?"

Then he grinned and continued to force his Mental World to smash into him. But this time, his Mental World grabbed hold of Fenrir, not his mind.

Loki began to panic when this happened. He had never experienced such a thing and didn’t think it was possible at all. So his shock and fear were immense.

Slav seemed to be able to sense his panic and smiled mischievously as he said, "My brother created the Rewind Metac, and I was there when he created it, so of course I know how it works best and how to beat it. So to bring it before me is folly."

"If he were here right now with the Supreme Metac of Time, you wouldn’t even be able to activate it. I don’t have the Supreme Metac of Time, but I still know how to manipulate time well."

Then he laughed and said, "This must be why you are a source of good luck to me. With the Rewind Metac, I can find my second brother. If I can find my third brother, we will be unstoppable."

As he spoke, his mental world expanded in size. This was also while the mental world was rushing at Fenrir. So the mental world looked like the expanding mouth of a large whale rushing at Loki to engulf him.

And deep within that mouth, a golden star seemed to shine. Loki saw it and knew that this was the Supreme Metac of the Luck Pathway.

However, as imposing as all of his actions were, Slav was still too late to grab hold of Fenrir. This was because Fenrir didn’t freeze and let his Mental World grab it.

With Fenrir still running away, his Mental World also wasn’t able to catch up to Fenrir. If Loki had been a second late to commit suicide by a second, it would have been impossible for him to escape. But for some reason, the Supreme Metac of the Luck Pathway didn’t activate when it should have to make him fumble his escape.

This made Slav say in frustration, "Damn it. I can’t keep holding back like this if I want to get him."

"This isn’t a situation where I can eat my cake and have it. I have to take some risk."

After saying this, he activated the Supreme Metac. This caused the golden star within his Mental World to shine brightly.

The golden rays of light from the golden star fell onto Fenrir. As soon as the golden rays touched Fenrir, Fenrir began to slow down.

It was as if a heavy load had landed on top of Fenrir. With Fenrir’s speed slowed down, it would be easy for the Mental World to catch up with him.

The power of this move was 9(Dao Status) × 3(Fortune Seeker Metac) × (3(Butterfly Effect Life Ability) + 5(Mind) + 90% Energy Well) × (9(Perfect Luck Supreme Metac) × (500% Overdrive), which is 10,812.5 units of power.

But Loki refused to give up. Instead of slowing down, he urged Fenrir to burn all of its energy for a burst of speed.

Fenrir complied by using up all of its energy chambers and core Metacs to resist. So it was able to produce a power of 5(Dao Status) × (4(Rewind) + 4(Splitting Edge) + 4(Mind Freeze) + 4(Telekinesis) + 4(Vengeful Bones)) × (5(Shifting Armor Life Ability) + 3(Mind) + 5(Will) + 900% Energy Well) × (375% Overdrive + 900% Energy Well), which is 28,050 units of power.

This was a desperate move on his part, made with no Branch Metacs and with a weak mind, but it seemed to have worked. Because of his resistance, Fenrir suddenly exploded and shot forward.

In the blink of an eye, Fenrir left the approaching Mental World behind and rushed into the River of Time. It jumped into the River of Time and disappeared immediately.
