Chapter 88: The Relesha Family

"So..." Ellia widened her eyes. "How did you do this?"

Arina’s jaw dropped to the ground. There was no way a place like this would exist in the ruins.

This was supposed to be a store. However, on the left side, she could see a king-size bed. Next to it was a dressing table with a mirror on it.

On the opposite side of the room was a bathroom. Although there was no shower, having a big basin of water alone was something no one could get from the ruins.

The room was also cooled with a big ice spike and the wind element. Auric even prepared a ventilation system, but they didn’t know where it was or whether it would be effective.

The light was made by the Golden Finger, and they closed the door with the wood element.

Everything had been cleaned up, making it look similar to a hotel room.

Auric wasn’t lying.

"This... H-how on earth..." Arina couldn’t think of anything.

Auric simply formed a table in front of them. "Another unique element."

Ellia’s eyebrows twitched slightly. "As expected, it must be the transfer student’s element. You must have helped her evolve."

Auric shrugged.

"I could melt right now." Arina glanced at the bathroom. "Can we really use all this?"

"Yes. Just remind me to fill the water later. It’s an element called Heavy Water, so you can only use it to wipe yourself, and it will probably feel quite heavy in your hand."

"I don’t mind that." Arina cheered.

Ellia looked at him helplessly. "At this rate, I might end up kidnapping you."

"Got it, Miss!" Arina waved her hand. After Auric filled the basin, Arina immediately went inside and isolated herself.

"So, you want to know more about your teacher’s family?"

"Yes."

"Why ask me? You could ask your teacher personally or search for it on the internet. I don’t mind answering, but I want to clear my doubts."

Auric sighed. "I have searched for her family on the internet and found that the Taurus Group is a family business, just like you and your Antler Group. It’s just... you may be able to give me what I won’t find on the surface."

"I see." Ellia thought for a moment, walked to the bed, and sat down. "I understand what you want. Your question is pretty simple. The Taurus Group has three major businesses. Since they’re close to the government, they are usually a channel for artifacts. They often hold auctions for them."

"Yes."

"I can understand that." Auric nodded in agreement. She might be a bit grumpy sometimes, but she had all the other qualities.

Her beauty, her talent, and even her wealth. Besides, she was usually cheerful and could lighten the mood.

It was no wonder people desired her. Ellia was the same in that regard. She had the beauty, the talent, and the wealth to make people desire her even though her background was slightly different from Maya’s.

"Yeah. And a certain accident happened." Ellia looked down. "She was drugged by that guy and almost..."

Ellia pointed down, as if telling Auric that he definitely knew what was going to happen.

"Seriously?" Auric widened his eyes.

"Yes." Ellia nodded. "However, you shouldn’t underestimate your teacher’s power. She was able to fend off the guy and kill him."

"Well deserved," Auric agreed.

"Right?" Auric definitely thought it would be over. Both families had enough strength to go to war, but there was definitely no need to.

Auric froze.

"I can see that." Auric nodded. He remembered how her grandfather was cheerful and seemed to love her a lot. From the way he talked, it didn’t appear that her family members were cold to each other.

"It led to a war between two families?"

"Also wrong."

Auric was perplexed. "So, there is no war?"

"It wasn’t exactly a war." Ellia shook her head helplessly. "It was a massacre."

"Massacre?" Auric knew a fight would break out, but a massacre?

"Yes. In a single night, the entire family disappeared. And it was all due to the third main business of the family."

"What is that?"

Auric felt chills down his spine. Despite the harmonious nature of the family, they could really do such a ruthless thing.

"The third son is part of the government, while the daughter is a mayor." Ellia shrugged.

"I can understand that. So, your family and her family... If you fought, who would win?" Auric asked casually.

"Good question." Ellia raised a finger.

Auric was quite surprised by the answer. Ellia looked so confident that she believed she actually had a chance to come out on top.

"I have a lot of money, so it depends on whether my money can buy the victory or not." Ellia shrugged. "I have never tried that."

Auric smiled wryly. It was true. The Antler Group was actually a much bigger group compared to the Taurus Group. But that was only on the surface.

There was no telling what the Antler Group had bought with all that money.

Auric could probably find a thing or two by asking Maya this question, just like how he got Maya’s information from Ellia.

Well, there was no need for a war to happen. There was no reason for the two groups to go to war anyway.

Still, Auric finally figured out more about his teacher. It was no wonder her grandfather asked her immediately after finding out she had left the city.

However, it looked like her grandfather still cared for her. He must have been taking care of the mess that came from her departure from the city.

"Are you going to help your teacher?" Ellia frowned.

Ellia thought for a moment. "I’m not sure of the exact time. However, there is a rumor that she has been sentenced to three to five years. She has been here for two years, so I guess she will be free in one to three years. A light sentence for a massacre, don’t you think?"

Auric shrugged. In the past, he could definitely say it was a light sentence. When there was no magical energy, people would struggle to kill a person, let alone an entire family.

However, with magical energy, a family was nothing. They could even destroy a city if they provoked someone who was powerful enough to do it.

Auric nodded in understanding. "Okay, thanks for telling me."

The thing he was about to whisper sounded so sweet that it felt like the devil was whispering to her.

"What if I told you I might have a way to increase your affinity further? Are you interested?"
