The Gemini Princess wants me to confess my feelings!

Chapter 30 Choosing Sides

Chapter 30 Choosing Sides

Shimizu looked at him in disbelief and asked, "What do you mean by 'with your consent'? You installed surveillance and listening cameras in your own room?"

"Yeah," Kirihara Akatsuki shrugged and said, "Maybe it's because I have some kind of peculiar fetish."

Anyone could hear the mockery in Kirihara Akira's words, and Shimizu immediately became angry. She frowned and said in a shrill voice, "Do you think such a tasteless and boring joke is acceptable?"

"Whether it's believable or not, so what?" Kirihara Akira looked at her calmly and said, "I'm new here, and I don't feel safe in an unfamiliar environment. To prevent my room from being burgled, taking some measures to control my surroundings is an understandable choice, isn't it?"

Shimizu opened her mouth, but then felt like she was choking. She gritted her teeth and said, "A thief...you mean this house gets broken into? What a joke!"

"Yes, the Mori family home is indeed very safe. The installation of the cameras was entirely due to my incredibly foolish and shallow thinking. Once I realized that, I asked her to remove the cameras. Is there a problem with that?"

This is an absolutely blatant folly! Shimizu clenched his fist in anger, as if he were punching the table in front of him.

The lady maintained her high position and the demeanor befitting a head of the family, but such demeanor came at a price. She allowed people to speak out, but if those people were rebuffed, their attitude would never be the same as hers.

How can the dignified head of the Mori family hold a grudge against a junior?

He was underestimated, which ironically hit the big shot's weak spot.

Kirihara Akira remained silent, refraining from further confrontation.

In this family, he actually had no status whatsoever; the discrimination and exclusion were blatant and need no further explanation.

However, the Mori family gave him a foothold and provided him with protection in effect, which was ultimately a favor he should be grateful for. Therefore, for so long, Kirihara Akira has never expressed any opinions or gone against the lady, and has silently remained a nobody.

But everyone has a temper, and there's always a limit to how much you can tolerate.

He disliked his wife's way of handling things, her subtle and purposeful arrangements, and especially the fact that she was using him as a tool to manipulate the atmosphere of the family.

So what I just said was a small act of resistance from Kirihara Akira.

It's not a complete falling out; the roles of the two sides are unequal. At most, it can be described as rebellion.

Therefore, the disputes are always stopped short of a point.

Just then, a hearty laugh rang out. Mori Hayato looked at Kirihara Akira with interest, then stopped laughing and said calmly, "In the blink of an eye, Kirihara-kun has grown up so much. It's normal for him to have his own thoughts, especially considering the terrible things he's done. He deserves our sympathy."

"But..." Shimizu opened her mouth to say something, but was stopped by someone.

Surprisingly, it was Mori Akari who spoke up, even though she had been silent until now.

"Clear water."

"Yes."

Akari Mori concluded this farcical family trial with the statement: "There are no bad people in this family, and I'm willing to believe that."

Asahi Kasano suddenly raised his head, his eyes filled with tears of gratitude, and kowtowed deeply to the lady once more.

Kirihara Akira pouted, finding it really disgusting.

Asahi and Kanade stayed in the house, while some people, whether bad or not, were eventually kicked out, restoring peace and quiet to the Mori family.

The meal was so bland it was hard to taste anything, so she just ate it and called it a day. Kirihara Akira tidied herself up, changed her clothes, and prepared to go out.

As they reached the entrance, Kirihara Akira and Mori Kiyoha brushed past each other.

The girl's expression remained cold, as if he were nothing, and she simply let it pass.

Just as Kirihara Akatsuki sat down to put on her shoes, she heard a rustling sound behind her again.

I tilted my head slightly and saw a pair of small feet covered in white socks, lifting and lowering them as if preoccupied, pacing back and forth in small steps.

Then, probably realizing that Kirihara Akira was watching, she shrank back as if startled.

Kirihara Akira couldn't help but laugh and said, "What, is the floor on fire?"

The owner of the small feet did not respond. Kirihara Akira followed the smooth legs upwards and saw Mori Kiyoha's face, which was cold as ice but had a unique charm.

Despite being teased, Mori Kiyoha didn't react much, maintaining an odd silence, looking like a statue, but the movement of her feet earlier betrayed her true feelings.

She was not at peace.

Kirihara Akira sighed as if she couldn't take it anymore and said, "You're not here to thank me, are you? Don't disgust me."

Mori Kiyoha's expression froze slightly, her beautiful, delicate eyebrows furrowing as she scolded, "You're really deluding yourself."

She didn't utter the insults with much force, and after she finished speaking, she subtly bit her lip.

"Then I'm relieved." Kirihara Akira chuckled.

After a moment of silence, and waiting for him to finish tying his shoelaces, Mori Kiyoha finally asked, "Why did you do that?"

"Are you asking about Asahi Watanabe?"

"Yes," Mori Kiyoha said, "She clearly has a grudge against you."

"What grudge? Trying to seduce me, can that be called a grudge?" Kirihara Akira said indifferently, "Besides, I'm speaking up for her not because of her, and I don't even know her well, so it's not worth it."

At the risk of offending the lady, I stood on the side of Asahi Kasane, but it wasn't for Asahi Kasane. So what was it for?

Kirihara Akira put on her shoes, stomped the toes of her shoes to settle them in place, then turned to look at Mori Kiyoha, as if to say something, but was interrupted by a faint sound of footsteps.

In the end, he offered no explanation and turned to leave.

He only wanted to say one thing: "I do not believe in supreme authority."

The meaning of this statement is very simple: it's simply because he's rebellious.

However, fearing that the walls might be overheard and that saying it would seem like a challenge to the lady's authority, he couldn't bring himself to say it.

In the future, he will regret countless times not saying those words today.

Why the "regret"? That needs to be seen from Mori Kiyoha's perspective.

She asked Kirihara Akira why he did this, and he said it wasn't because of Asahi and Kanade, then glanced at her and left.

This intriguing look led Mori Kiyoha to misunderstand.

If it's not for Asahi Kasei, then what is it for?

What Kirihara Akatsuki's answer was is no longer important.

She stood there in a daze for a while, only snapping out of her reverie when she heard a voice behind her.

"cough."

When Mori Kiyoha turned her head, she saw her older sister with her arms crossed, leaning against the wall, staring intently at her.

Sen Qingye felt as if her face had been burned, but she forced herself to keep her expression unchanged and asked in a cold tone, "What are you looking at?"

Mori Shizue said calmly, "I'm looking at my younger sister who's been completely bewitched."

Mori Kiyoha rolled her eyes, wanting to go up and rub that face that looked exactly like hers but was particularly hateful, but unfortunately she couldn't do so because of the occasion.

As she pondered, she became somewhat lost in thought again.

Mori Shizue looked at Mori Kiyoha, then suddenly sighed and said, "He won't remember; those were just jokes from when we were kids."

Mori Kiyoha turned around and said calmly, "Who cares?"

No one will know what the two sisters are talking about, because this is a childhood memory that belongs only to them and Kirihara Akira.

Mori Kiyoha claimed she didn't care, but Mori Shizue frankly admitted she did: "When we first met, she didn't even recognize me, treating me like a complete stranger... She's such a heartless person."

"But he still showed up," Mori Kiyoha said.

Mori Shizue suddenly seemed hesitant to speak.

Finally, Sen Qingye couldn't resist any longer. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was around, she leaned over and pinched her sister's cheek hard, saying irritably, "What are you thinking? Do you think I've got a crush on him and I have to cling to him?"

The older sister, Shizue Mori, had her face rubbed, and could only make incomprehensible sounds like "woo-wah".

"Don't worry, I will never fall for him!"

……

……

"I think the second young lady of the Mori family already has someone she loves, and that person could very well be you."

In the private car, Shiori Kisaragi said this.

Kirihara Akira almost spat out all the coffee she had just put in her mouth.
