The Forgotten Billionaire

Chapter 30

Chapter 30

I dashed into the room as soon as I got out of the car. I also met the helpers. They had came back. Emily, the chief maid of the house, would had questioned. However, I disregarded her and rushed away straight immediately. I could hear Randall's footsteps pursuing me as I got to the top of the stairs.

I locked the door as soon as my foot entered the room. Because of my sprinting and what had transpired earlier, my heart was beating fast while I was recovering my breath. I sat behind the closed door, leaning against it. I didn't have to wait long before I heard a rapid knock on the door. My eyes welled up with tears. My sobs became more strident.

I felt him leaned against the door and the noise stopped as if it were just the two of us. I also heard his loud sighed. I hugged and fell on my knees.

“I don't know how to explain to you. Everything is too messy. A little more time. Give me a little more time to fix everything. ” I heard the pleading in his voice. I felt his weakness behind the door.

As I listened to his voice, my face was drenched with tears. When was I going to learn to resist you? How long would I be resurrected by untruths when I entered this house? What was going on was challenging for me. It was only made more puzzling the way he acted. I tried to recall what happened earlier. I summoned the guts to confront him.

"What's the matter with Alex? Why did you act as if you aren't you after hearing his name?" My tone became icy. I eventually became tired of his falsehoods —no. To all of them.

He didn't say anything, so I knew the answer right immediately. I was certain Alex had something to do with my entire being. He was more than simply a buddy to them. Everything grew more difficult as time passes. Aunt Helena, Archer, Randall, and Alex were among those who had contributed to this puzzle. They were all a mystery to me.

I was closing my eyes as I rested against the back of the door, unbeknownst to me. When my phone rang, I jolted awake. I gently rose to gaze out the window. I awoke at midday. I would had answered the phone when a helper knocked on the door.

“Ms. Winter, you must eat now. Sir Randall himself prepared the food.” I didn’t answer because I looked at the caller first. Ava was the caller.

"Miss Winter?" After calling me again, the maid knocked again.

"I'll eat later; please inform him that he may eat first. I'm still putting the finishing touches on something." I rose from my laying position on the floor and sat on the bed. Because I did not answer the phone, the call went unanswered. I was expecting Ava to call again, but I just saw her text message to me.

"How are you doing? Should we return to where we went yesterday?" That's what the message says, and an emoji wink was added. I was also not sure what this woman wanted at times.

I stood up and headed over to the cabinet containing the medications Aunt Helena had given me. I needed to visit my doctor right away since I was curious about the negative effects of these drugs as well as the consequences of not taking my regular capsule.

I responded to Ava. "We're not going there right now. Join me as I test the negative effects of the medication I'm taking and whether there are any risks to not taking my daily medications."

As I was about to go back to bed my eyes suddenly swiveled. I felt like something was trying to get out of my belly. I dashed to the bathroom and puked on the sink. I vomited a lot, but all that came out was sputum. While I was still feeling awful, I wiped my mouth and glanced in the mirror. I assumed it was because I had slept on the floor the night before.

I've already taken a bath. I was looking for something to wear when I got out of the bathroom. Okay, I'd want to wear a sleeveless dress, but it didn't appear to be in my style right now. Eventually, all I wore was a baggy white blouse and a pair of leggings. When I wear them, I felt like I couldn't breathe, which was odd considering that was what I usually wore. I stepped outside after grabbing the black shoulder bag.

I could smell the meal on the table as soon as I walked downstairs. Because of the smell, I smiled broadly. When I saw Randall, it was as if all my rage from the night before had vanished because of the meal in front of me. That dark tint was exactly the fragrance I was used from eating, combined with peanut. I sat down as quickly as possible, but Randall couldn't see me since he was still turning around and washing his hands. I placed my handbag on the opposite chair and promptly scooped the food up. I wasn't sure why I was so hungry. All I knew was that the food here was causing my stomach to churn.

“Oh! Are you feeling well? ” Randall was wearing an apron as he removed it he was already sitting next to me. He also spooned his own then looked at me.

I wasn't sure why I wasn't upset with him. I even smiled at him, wanting to know what it was. "What is this?” I put the meat with a variety of veggies, including eggplant and beans on my plate. I immediately giggled after the first mouthful.

"It's known as kare-kare. It is prepared using Filipino cuisine. It contains peanuts. They often put sauce of small fish." I was going to run out of food as he explained. My taste seemed to be altered when he mentioned the sauce of small fish. It was as though I didn''t want to consume this meal if it had something like that.

While munching, I kept my gaze fixed on the ketchup at the top of the cupboard. I popped the last of the rice into my mouth before handing Randall my plate. He was still perplexed as to why I was handing him my plate, but as I glanced at the rice in front of him, he knew exactly what I wanted. I went to where the ketchup was after he got it.

When I returned and sat down, he repositioned my plate in front of me. I used a lot of ketchup and blended it into my meal like soup. While I was salivating, I noticed his face turned away, as if disgusted by what I was doing. It was delicious to eat when I added the kare-kare broth.

I had two plates when I finished. I even caressed my stomach as though I were pregnant. I looked at Randall, who hadn't even touched the meal and then I looked at him with interest. When he returned to himself, he spoke abruptly.

"I've only just seen you eat that much. You have two plates, and your rice is mixed with ketchup. I'd believe you are pregnant if I don't know you."

I sat up straighter because of what he said.
