Chapter 939 - 364: My Sister Is Reborn (Part 8)
He Tiantian watched He Tianxin leave, then checked the time on her phone and shouted to her real mother, "Mom, I’m going out too!"
"What are you going out for?"
Mrs. He felt a jolt and quickly came out of the kitchen, drying her wet hands.
Their daughter had just been discharged from the hospital; although she seemed fine and energetic, there were no visible issues.
But He Tiantian’s sudden fainting spell before, with no found cause, was still a sword hanging over Mr. and Mrs. He’s hearts.
They just wanted their daughter to stay safe at home, or if she had to go out, to be accompanied by someone as much as possible.
They were really afraid that if their daughter went out and fainted again, no one would be around her.
If something happened to their daughter, they wouldn’t even know where to find help in time!
"Mom, I’m going to buy art supplies."
He Tiantian saw the worry and unease written all over Mrs. He’s face.
She stepped forward and earnestly said, "Mom, I’m really fine now, and I won’t faint again in the future, so please don’t worry so much!"
"Besides, I have a phone with me, don’t I!"
He Tiantian deliberately waved her brand-new red phone at her real mom, "I’ve saved both yours and Dad’s numbers in here. If there’s really anything, I’ll directly call you guys!"
Mrs. He was still uneasy, "How about having your dad drive you there instead!"
The He Family was well-off economically, and they had their own little car.
"Mom, Dad had some wine at lunch, he absolutely can’t drive, it’s too dangerous!" He Tiantian quickly said.
Although there wasn’t a law against reckless driving yet in those days, "Don’t drive after drinking" was an iron rule that must not be violated.
Mrs. He: "...Your dad, drinking just for the sake of it, isn’t it causing trouble!"
He Tiantian laughed and said, "Mom, I’m discharged from the hospital, Dad is happy, so he had a couple of drinks to celebrate!"
Mrs. He: ...Sounds reasonable, I don’t have anything to say!
He Tiantian hopped back to her room, changed into going-out clothes, picked up her small bag, and shouted to Mrs. He, "Okay, Mom! Stop worrying, I’m really fine!"
Seeing she couldn’t convince her daughter, Mrs. He compromised, "Alright! Then be careful. Oh, right, why not just take a taxi instead of squeezing on the bus! I’ll give you money!"
He Tiantian waved her hand, "No need! Mom, I still have money!"
Her sister, He Tianxin, takes the bus to class, yet she was going to take a taxi to buy things, that would be unfair.
Even though He Tianxin wasn’t home and didn’t know about this, He Tiantian still reminded herself to be considerate.
Of course, He Tiantian also wouldn’t say to her real mom, "I want to take the bus, I have a student bus pass, I can save money" because that would ruin her image.
He Tiantian just vaguely indicated that she had money and didn’t need her real mom to give her extra for the taxi fare.
"...Our Tiantian is so sensible now!"
Watching He Tiantian’s joyful back, Mrs. He couldn’t help but be moved and said.
"Both kids are wonderful, darling, from now on we must be careful, we mustn’t show favoritism, otherwise not only will they resent us, but it could also cause conflicts between them!"
After days of observation and thought, Mr. He had come to this realization.
He couldn’t help but feel tender towards his younger daughter, but he constantly reminded himself that whatever Tiantian had, Xinxin must have too.
There could be order, but no unfairness.
"Oh, but Xinxin is the most sensible and filial, she wouldn’t care about these things!" Mrs. He replied somewhat dismissively.
Mr. He, however, emphasized seriously, "Even if the kids don’t care, we as parents must be careful!"
Hearing Mr. He’s solemn words, Mrs. He felt a bit uneasy herself.
"Alright, alright! I’ll listen to you. Oh, we’re a family, why make it so distanced?"
Mrs. He mumbled as she returned to the kitchen to continue tidying up.
Even though Mr. He said they should treat the children equally, he was still uneasy, so he put on his clothes and quickly followed her out.
Not driving after drinking, taking a taxi should still be okay.
Bang!
The security door made a loud thud as it closed.
Hearing the noise from the kitchen, Mrs. He hurried out to check.
Seeing her husband’s coat missing from the hallway coat rack and his shoes gone, Mrs. He couldn’t help but laugh and scold, "You’re biased towards Tiantian yourself, and you talk about me? Hmph!"
Mr. He wasn’t aware of his wife’s muttering, he had drunk but wasn’t inebriated to the point of being unsteady or mentally unclear.
He quickened his pace to catch up with his daughter, following her out of the community and to the entrance to hail a taxi.
Mr. He felt a bit pained, but for his daughter, he still painfully hailed a taxi, "Master, follow that car in front!"
