The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2410

Chapter 2410

"Sss!"

Carson Flores paused the stroke of his brush momentarily, just a brief halt, and the Spiritual Power stuttered, causing the talisman paper on the table to crack directly.

Another talisman paper was scrapped.

This was the thirty-second talisman scrapped today.

Carson Flores didn’t mind at all, casually pushing the broken talisman paper aside and laying out a brand new sheet once more.

This talisman paper wasn’t the yellow paper Carson Flores remembered, but a composite made from various precious materials that could store Spiritual Energy. Of course, this was still low-order talisman paper, and the materials used for higher-order talisman paper were so expensive that even someone as wealthy as Carson Flores was left astounded.

Learning talisman crafting was a super-consuming activity of Spirit Stones, especially for someone like Carson Flores with average talent; it was an extremely extravagant choice.

Fortunately, Carson Flores was quite affluent, and since he was only beginning to learn talisman crafting, the materials used weren’t so costly, allowing him to splurge without any heartache.

The Dragon Mountain Cloud Dream Art was wondrous, yet at this moment, it couldn’t assist Carson Flores.

The principles of talismans weren’t usually complicated nor too difficult to understand; the most crucial part was the drawing process, for even the slightest mistake would cause the entire talisman to be rendered useless.

It’s like a master painter explaining all the techniques and experiences of painting to you, and you understand everything, yet you might draw a thousand or ten thousand paintings and still not reach that realm.

Easy to know, hard to perform.

Carson Flores was not discouraged in the slightest; how much time had passed?

As a cultivator, possessing a long life, the one thing he wasn’t short of was time. If he couldn’t learn it in a short time, then he’ll learn slowly and practice slowly.

If you work hard enough, you can grind an iron rod into a needle; one day he would be able to reach the profound realm of the Heaven and Earth Talisman.

Just as Carson Flores was calming his mind, ready to draw this simple entry-level Wind-Walking Talisman again, there was a knock on the door, and a disciple of the Dragon Mountain Sect walked in.

"Uncle Master, someone left a letter at the door with your name on it."

For me?

Carson Flores reached out to take the letter and looked at it. A line was written on the cover.

To Carson Flores, Dragon Mountain Sect.

After the disciple left, Carson Flores tore open the envelope, finding only a single paper inside, with a line of flamboyant writing across it.

"Flores, I will return to the headquarters in a few days; before I leave, there’s an important matter I want to entrust to you. There are too many eyes around the camp, and meeting might raise doubts. Three thousand miles east of here, there is a city named Grey Moon. A hundred miles east of the city lies a canyon. I will wait for you there. If night falls and you have not arrived, I will leave on my own and will not mention this again."

The end of the letter was signed with a single flamboyant character.

Randall.

Lorvian Randall?

Carson Flores read it again, and then the letter paper suddenly self-ignited, quickly turning to ashes.

Carson Flores slightly furrowed his eyebrows.

Since the last time Carson Flores visited the Sea God Sect to see Lorvian Randall, only to catch him being criticized by his sect, he hadn’t sought him out again or seen him since.

Now he suddenly received an invitation from Lorvian Randall for a meeting, and it specifically mentioned asking for his help with something—seemed like Lorvian Randall indeed encountered some troubles.

Lorvian Randall was still so proud, clearly stating he would only wait until dusk, which gave Carson Flores room to refuse.

If Carson Flores didn’t want further entanglements with him, he could find any excuse later, saying he was in closed cultivation or something, and that he saw the letter too late to make it in time, which would save face for both parties.

Since Lorvian Randall extended the invitation, Carson Flores naturally intended to go.

As Carson Flores was leaving, he ran into Floating Cloud who was chatting with someone at the door. Floating Cloud asked, "Heading out?"

Carson Flores replied, "Yes, Master, going out to take care of some matters."

Floating Cloud advised, "Be careful."

Carson Flores chuckled, "I’m not going anywhere."

Floating Cloud quickly understood, chuckling, "You rascal, that’s not a bad skill. Go on!"

Carson Flores stepped out causally, his body suddenly disappearing silently and noiselessly.

The three-thousand-mile journey wasn’t short, but Carson Flores utilized Carefree Wander, moving at an extremely fast speed, reached Grey Moon City quickly, and with another flash, arrived a hundred miles east of the city.

A gigantic rift appeared before Carson Flores, and he flew downward, hovering in mid-air, loudly declaring, "Fellow, I’ve come to meet you."

He didn’t call out the other’s name nor state his identity, all to prevent any information from leaking.

Somewhere ahead in the canyon, a figure took flight, waved toward him, then disappeared back into the depths of the canyon.

Carson Flores flew forward along the rift, quickly reaching the spot where the figure appeared, seeing Malvian Randall looking at him from the entrance of a cave at the canyon’s bottom.

Malvian Randall waved to Carson Flores and then turned to walk into the huge cave.

Carson Flores furrowed his brows; was Malvian Randall being that cautious?

This place was thousands of miles from the Sea God Sect camp; was such caution necessary?

Carson Flores instinctively felt something was off, but he hesitated not a bit, stepping inside the cave entrance, he proceeded on in.
