Chapter 1265: Extra: Sebastian & Violet 3
Chapter 1265: Extra: Sebastian & Violet 3
In the Mystical Sect, everyone generally gives Life Impermanence some face.
This isn’t because of Life Impermanence’s personal rights or any exceptional magic, but mainly because there are people from the Underworld involved.
Although it’s a contract worker, it is still a contract worker from the Underworld.
Attacking a Ghost Messenger is akin to attacking the Underworld’s face.
Violet became Life Impermanence at the age of 15 and, counting fully, has only been Impermanence for five years.
Logically, even if she calls for help, the official Ghost Messengers of the Underworld wouldn’t pay her any heed, but she can’t resist... Violet knows how to get along.
Not only is she skilled at sharing gossip but also at catering to personal preferences, making her quite popular among her colleagues in the Underworld.
Right now, the one she calls boss is the senior Impermanence who first signed the Life Impermanence contract with her and brought her "into the industry."
It should be known that there is also a difference between Impermanence and Impermanence. For example, Violet’s boss manages the Impermanence of both the Capital Metropolitan and North City.
Except for special or troublesome souls, she generally doesn’t need to capture souls personally.
Upon receiving Violet’s message, she instantly narrowed her beautiful eyes.
Did those who bullied her ask her first?
Without asking the reason, the other side just lightly said two words,
"Location."
Violet carefully sensed the location of the other’s aura, and then without hesitation reported the location of the concert venue.
A heavenly platform located on the second floor.
Violet didn’t expect the other party to be so close.
But when she thought about it, it made sense.
Precisely because the other side was close, she initially didn’t notice any anomaly even when facing the soul body of Wuthering Atkins.
Because the aura of the dead and the sacrificial substitute was too similar.
The Impermanence Soul Body penetrated the wall and suddenly appeared at a corner of the heavenly platform.
There she saw an altar set up at an unknown time, with a scarecrow representing the sacrificial substitute of Wuthering Atkins on it, and in front of the altar, a spellcasting array, in which should have been the target she was supposed to soul-lock —
The real "Wuthering Atkins."
Seeing her sudden appearance, Wuthering Atkins’ expression changed, instinctively looking at the master in front of him,
"Master..."
Although the makeup and TV dramas revealed obvious differences, the mourning stick on the hand and the black hat inscribed with Peace were unmistakably clear.
This is the usual reaction of every dying person upon seeing Impermanence.
However, the master in front of him showed no sign of panic upon seeing Violet, instead raising an eyebrow,
"Life Impermanence?"
His tone was quite relaxed.
It was evident he didn’t consider contractors like her significant, though he feigned courtesy by asking,
"Esteemed young friend, I am entrusted to extend the life of this gentleman, could you please turn a blind eye?"
In the substitute death spell he deliberately altered the other’s living soul information.
The death procedure was legitimate; his magic succeeded unless confronted by someone exceptionally nitpicky.
Violet heard his words but laughed,
"My mom said when I was born, I had the most beautiful eyes, big, round, and well-proportioned... so, what I dislike most is turning a blind eye!"
With the last word, she gave no chance for a response, forcefully swinging the mourning stick in her hand.
The mourning stick instantly transformed into a paper whip, fiercely lashing toward the opposite Evil Master.
The Evil Master frowned displeasedly, but quickly wielded a mantra.
The Peach Wood Sword on the altar instantly flew toward the paper whip, binding it tightly.
Little did he know, the mourning stick as an Impermanence’s possession could be manipulated by Violet’s intent.
The paper whip, entangled by the wooden sword, abruptly extended in length, snapping the altar objects into two with a crack.
Only the scarecrow representing another Wuthering Atkins remained protected by the Evil Master with four Spirit Talismans before being hit by the paper whip.
The paper whip coiled up around the four directions of the Spirit Talismans, yet couldn’t touch the scarecrow within.
One person and one Impermanence locked in a struggle.
Violet, realizing she couldn’t destroy the scarecrow for the time being, suddenly released a Black Talisman, simultaneously single-handedly chanting, quickly reciting aloud,
"Dim mists of the Nine Lands, without sun or moon... Black Talisman envoy, Black Armor General. Hear my solemn decree... Swiftly follow my command!"
The Black Talisman emitted a dark light with her mantra, then transformed into a Black Armor General twice her height.
The Black Armor General raised a hand and violently slapped towards the Evil Master.
The Evil Master’s eyes widened sharply, being Impermanence, she still wielded the Mystical Sect Talisman!
This was clearly unfair!
Violet met his gaze, merely lifting her chin and coldly snorted.
You’re an Evil Master, and you expect me to be fair?
With one slap, the Evil Master was sent flying. Violet seized the chance to break the other’s defense with the Impermanence paper whip.
She disrupted the scarecrow while attempting to break the barrier of another "Wuthering Atkins," but surprisingly, as soon as her paper whip touched the spellcasting array, her entire soul was forcefully blasted back again.
Meanwhile, the Impermanence paper whip, meant to dismantle the array, seemed redirected by the barrier and pointed directly at her!
Stunned at heart, Violet knew it was too late to dodge.
Raising her hand, intending to withstand her own whip, she saw, at the heavenly platform, a figure suddenly rushed forward, spreading arms wide, protectively shielding her soul body.
It was Sebastian?!
Violet’s pupils trembled fiercely, instinctively wanted to push the person away but realized she was in a soul body state, only able to shout at him,
"Get away!"
However, it was already too late.
The paper whip headed directly towards the rear of Sebastian’s heart, seemingly about to pierce through his body, into his heart...
Unexpectantly, as the paper whip touched his body, Sebastian was suddenly enveloped by a thick shadow energy.
The paper whip encased by shadow energy couldn’t move further, the next second, a large hand grasped it firmly.
Both Sebastian and Violet were visibly dumbfounded by the sudden occurrence.
Violet sensed the familiar shadow energy, and staring beyond Sebastian, her eyes increasingly widened.
Recognizing the arrival’s identity, she hadn’t yet questioned before keenly perceiving the other’s actions,
"Wait!... "
Lord Ghost King.
But the words inevitably came too late.
The newcomer wielding her paper whip exerted force abruptly, the paper whip representing Impermanence’s power crumbling into ashes instantly in the other’s hand.
For a moment, Violet felt like her heart had been crushed.
That was the pang of bitter disappointment.
Her mourning stick!!!
Similarly, Sebastian’s expression was somewhat unpleasant, for he recognized the newcomer as well.
Shadow Mountain Ghost King.
The old ghost who once marked him, intending to forcibly "marry" him!
The Shadow Mountain Ghost King, after crushing the paper whip aiming to harm Sebastian, faced the two’s peculiar gazes and leisurely questioned,
"Wait for what?"
His glance shifted to Sebastian, quickly averted as though burning the eyes within a moment.
Looking at Violet,
"Are you the Life Impermanence?"
He spoke, slightly frowning, expression stern, interrogating,
"Aren’t you his fiancée? Why attempt to kill him?"
The Shadow Mountain Mark left on Sebastian was meant only to trigger in perilous situations.
Seeing his obvious misunderstanding, Violet’s countenance changed, promptly explaining,
"This is a misun..."
Before she could utter the word, the surrounding shadow energy shifted again.
Behind Violet, the Ghost Gate abruptly opened, dozen Ghost Messengers followed by a leading one emerged.
Facing the Shadow Mountain Ghost King, the latter coldly raised an eyebrow,
"Shadow Mountain Ghost King? Are you the one bullying my people?"
