Chapter 65
Chapter 65
Although they were sacrifices, some of the yellow-haired ones thought that if they covered their faces, it wouldn't be unacceptable. After all, with the lights off, who could tell the difference between a person and a pig?
Lust is a sharp blade.
They were players, and once they recovered from the initial intimidation by the monsters, they felt it wasn't a big deal. After all, what's a game without dying? You just respawn.
With this thought, many of the yellow-haired ones decided not to run. Instead, they brazenly stared at the headlights and exhaust pipes of the Harpy leader, Chicken Too Beautiful, with malicious smiles on their faces.
Chicken Too Beautiful didn't mind and didn't bother to cover up, boldly letting these humans look. However, she couldn't understand why these humans suddenly weren't afraid anymore. Usually, when human adventurers encountered monsters, they had two reactions: either they acted like they had taken gunpowder, shouting and attacking with greed, eager to strip every hair off the monster for materials or money, or they cried and fled as if mourning their parents. She had never seen such bravery before, especially from such a large group.
"Aren't you afraid of us monsters?" Chicken Too Beautiful asked curiously.
"Afraid of you? Why should we be afraid?" One of the yellow-haired ones sneered, full of disdain. He was ready to die heroically. "You're just a bunch of monsters. Sooner or later, we humans will flatten this place!"
"Yeah, you're just equipment materials. But this Harpy could be our pet."
"Yoshi! Yoshi! Matsugangu's taste is quite heavy."
Actually, the yellow-haired ones were saying "we players," but the system automatically replaced it with "we humans."
Flatten what? Flatten their potatoes? How could they tolerate that?
Under the Black Dragon boss's guidance, the monsters had learned some Common Tongue. They couldn't speak it well, but they could understand it. The word they were most familiar with was "potato." Anything they didn't understand, they substituted with "potato."
"Whoosh—"
The wind howled. Even though the sun was shining brightly, a strong wind blew through the forest. The yellow-haired ones felt a chill down their spines as they saw the monsters, including the Gnolls holding black water pythons, with red lights in their eyes.
"Capture the humans, plant potatoes!" a monster roared in anger.
"Capture the humans, plant potatoes!!" the other monsters echoed, erupting into chaos.
"What's going on?" The yellow-haired ones looked at the frenzied monsters, bewildered. Did the monsters understand what they had just said? But they didn't have time to wonder.
"Boom..."
The ground shook as thousands of Blazing Rabbits surged forward, instantly overwhelming the players from Sakura Island. They poked noses, jabbed eyes, hit kidneys, and even used martial arts techniques like the Bear Dragon Claw. But the move they were most skilled at was the Big Slap.
A series of "crackling" sounds followed. In no time, the Blazing Rabbits dispersed, leaving the Sakura Island players bruised and unconscious on the ground. Even without pain, they still fainted.
"Tie them up!" Big Grey Wolf ordered.
The Blazing Rabbits pulled out bundles of vines from the bamboo baskets on their backs. Following the Black Dragon boss's teachings, they quickly and efficiently tied the Sakura Island players with standard turtle shell knots.
After completing this, Big Grey Wolf gave another order: "Retreat!"
The monsters, with a swagger, dragged the Sakura Island players like dead dogs, happily returning to the Dragon Nest. This scene wasn't unique; similar events were happening in other jungles where Harpies were used as bait. However, this area had captured more players.
...
Time passed, though it was unclear how long. Yamamoto Nanjirou's consciousness began to return. He slowly opened his eyes to a dim space, barely making out the uneven rock walls. The ground was cold, and he heard creatures moving around him. The air was filled with a foul stench, making Yamamoto Nanjirou gag. He couldn't understand how something could smell so bad, like a perfume with its scent distilled, only this was the essence of stink.
"Yo, you're awake?" A few grotesque Kobold faces appeared in a circle around Yamamoto Nanjirou.
"Where... where is this, and you are...?"
"This is the great, our master's nest!" Polikri said in broken Common Tongue. "Being captured by our great master is an honor for you as prey!"
"Bakayaro! Damn monsters!" Yamamoto Nanjirou tried to move his limbs but found himself bound. He was stripped naked, tied to a makeshift wooden frame with a wooden bucket beneath him.
"Kekeke..." Polikri chuckled, turning to Banana Wolf and Melon Wolf, who were preparing materials. "Don't feed him yet. I'll report to the master!"
Banana Wolf and Melon Wolf, with cloth stuffed in their noses, glanced at Yamamoto Nanjirou and nodded. Soon, Polikri brought their Black Dragon master in. Su Nian didn't bring Anna this time because it was too smelly inside. He didn't want to expose Anna to the stench, so he left her at the entrance of the execution room. This was Anna's final compromise, as she usually insisted on sticking to Su Nian at all times.
"Master, this human just woke up. The others haven't yet. Those rabbits were too rough; two are already dead. As for the rest, we didn't dare wake them," Polikri reported, groveling on the ground, tail wagging rapidly. It had already received the second drop of the Black Dragon's Heart's Blood as a reward and was in high spirits.
"Good job," Su Nian nodded, examining Yamamoto Nanjirou, whose pitiful status panel appeared in his vision.
It can be hard to make great work when its stolen from bit.ly/3iBfjkV.

"Didn't expect you to be a guild leader among players. I hope your mouth is as tough as your title, kekeke..." Su Nian chuckled sinisterly. He turned to Banana Wolf and ordered, "Bring the spray grass."
