The Devil Who Claimed Me

Chapter 115: Mila’s demand

Chapter 115: Mila’s demand

The kiss was soft at first. Then it deepened. His lips moved against hers with a growing urgency.

"Dominic," she whispered.

His name on her lips was enough to drive him insane.

In one swift motion, he pulled her flush against him, his arms wrapping around her waist with possessive intensity.

The kiss turned hotter. His hands began to roam over her body urgently. His touch burned through her, sending a shiver down her spine.

Her hands slid up his chest, over his shoulders, then into his hair.

Dominic broke the kiss only to trail his lips along her jaw, down to her neck, his breath warm against her skin. Every touch, every kiss left trails of fire behind them.

"I want you," he whispered.

"Then what are you waiting for?"

That was all he needed.

He lifted her effortlessly, carrying her to the bed as their lips collided again fiercely.

Touches turned frantic. Clothes became barriers, and they soon discarded them.

Mila arched into him, her fingers gripping his shoulders. "Take me," she urged.

"Your wish is my command." He devoured her lips.

In a swift motion, he was inside her.

Her head tilted back slightly as his lips moved along her jaw, down her neck, and then to her breast. She arched toward him, seeking more of that warmth, that closeness.

"You don’t know what you do to me..." he murmured.

His movements became more urgent, more instinctive.

Mila clung to him, her body yielding, her mind going blank except for him. The tension built, rising slowly, steadily... until it became too much to hold.

Mila’s body trembled beneath him, her breath breaking, her world narrowing down to just him.

He followed soon after, his control completely gone. He dropped his head on her shoulder.

For a long moment, neither of them moved. Only their uneven breaths filled the room.

Dominic gently brushed the strands of hair clinging to her face.

"Are you okay?"

Mila’s body was still sensitive, her limbs heavy, her senses overwhelmed by everything that had just happened. She only managed a faint nod.

He kept looking at her flushed face.

"Lucas woke up," he murmured, brushing his thumb against her cheek.

Mila grinned, but she didn’t open her eyes. "That’s good," she said softly.

"He wants to see you."

At that, her lashes fluttered. She turned her face toward him. "Will you take me to him?"

He didn’t reply instantly. He took her hand and brought it to his lips. "You saved him. That means a lot to me."

He looked into her eyes. "Lucas is not just a friend or my assistant. He is my brother."

His eyes moved to the opposite wall. "He was like me once. Alone. No home. No one to rely on. When I saw him fighting just to survive, I saw myself."

Mila stayed silent, listening to him intently.

"I asked my godfather to bring him in," Dominic continued. "He questioned me why I wanted to help him. He said I couldn’t save every stray boy on the streets."

He paused. "I didn’t have an answer. I just knew I wanted to save him. Walking away from him was impossible for me. But Alejandro didn’t do anything to help Lucas at the time."

He sighed. "He brought him two days later and told him to be loyal to me absolutely. Since then, Lucas has been with me, following me as a shadow. He never failed me."

Mila’s fingers curled faintly in his grasp. She realized how important Lucas was to him.

"When I saw him lying there, covered in blood, unconscious, I couldn’t breathe," he continued, fear evident in his voice. "I couldn’t think. The only thing on my mind was that he had to live."

His grip around her hand tightened a bit instinctively. "And then I thought of you."

His gaze returned to her.

"I couldn’t trust anyone else. I knew you’d save him." His thumb brushed over her knuckles. "And you did."

Mila’s eyes turned watery as she sensed his emotions.

"Thank you," he whispered.

"I don’t need your thanks," she whispered back. "I’m glad that I could save him. It was one of the hardest surgeries I’ve ever done."

"And you deserve a reward," he said with a smile. "Tell me, what do you want? I’ll fulfil your wish."

This time, he didn’t add any conditions, didn’t remind her of limits.

Mila thought for a while and then added carefully, "I want a phone."

Dominic stilled for a moment and then said, "That’s it?"

She nodded, a small, hopeful grin spreading across her face.

"I’ll get you a new phone."

Her eyes lit up, excitement spilling through instantly. "Really?"

"Yes."

He pulled her closer, his arm tightening around her waist, his chin brushing lightly against her hair.

Mila leaned into his chest, a contented smile dancing on her lips.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car stopped in front of a building.
Serene came out and looked around her surroundings.
The estate stretched wide across the land. The structure was made of white stone that glowed faintly under the moonlight. Tall pillars framed the entrance. Vines curled around parts of the outer walls. Perfectly trimmed hedges lined the long driveway.
She hadn’t expected to see such a luxurious mansion here, away from the city, buried deep within towering trees. For a moment, she simply stood there with disbelief and awe in her eyes.
A guard approached her, breaking her thoughts. "Miss Serene?"
She nodded.
"This way." He gestured for her to follow.
She walked in. The moment she stepped inside, her surprise deepened.
The hall was vast, decorated lavishly. Antique sculptures placed with deliberate precision. Paintings lined the walls. Every corner spoke of excess money.
Her eyes moved slowly across the room until they settled on a massive portrait that dominated one wall.
It was a man—standing tall, holding a gun, one foot placed over the lifeless body of a tiger. His expression was cold, victorious, merciless.
Serene stepped closer and looked at the man, her mouth agape. She knew him.
It was Victor, Alejandro’s arch-rival, the same man who wanted Dominic dead.
She had never imagined standing under his roof. Yet here she was, forced to stand by the enemy. Her gaze flashed fire.
The anger surged instantly, hot and consuming. He had pushed her to this. He had chosen Mila over her, discarded her as if she meant nothing.
’Fine. Then he will pay for it.’
