The Devil Who Claimed Me

Chapter 101: She is a threat to all of us.

Chapter 101: She is a threat to all of us.

Valentina stormed into the mansion, fury blazing through her veins. She wanted nothing but to find Mila, drag her to the dungeon, and beat her to death.

"Enough of playing games," she muttered under her breath. "I’ll make you pay for betraying us."

She was about to head upstairs when Serene stepped in front of her, blocking her path.

"Valentina, where have you been?" she demanded, sounding irritated. "You disappeared without a word. No calls, no messages. No one knew where you went."

"I was busy," Valentina replied curtly, clearly unwilling to engage. "We’ll talk later. I have something important to deal with."

"No... I don’t have time. Come with me." Serene dragged her into her room and closed the door instantly.

"What’s wrong?" Valentina asked. "Why do you look disturbed?"

"Shouldn’t I?" Serene snapped, her eyes blazing. "Mila is taking Dominic away from me. She is always around him, turning him against me."

Her voice trembled with suppressed rage. "He no longer loves me. He treats me like a stranger now. If this continues, I’ll lose him forever. We need to do something fast."

Valentina opened her mouth to tell her about Mila. Before she could say a word, Serene clasped her shoulders desperately.

"She is flirting with Dr. Remy while still sleeping with Dominic. I’m telling you—she is dangerous. We need to get rid of her before Dominic returns."

Valentina clasped her hands. "Don’t worry. I have enough evidence against her. This time, Dominic will listen to us. He will punish her on his own."

Serene’s eyes sparkled with curiosity and interest. "What did you find?"

"Mila is a spy," Valentina replied, clenching her teeth.

Serene’s breath caught in her throat. "What are you talking about? A spy?"

"Yes." Valentina nodded curtly. "Marco planted her. She has been feeding him information all along."

"That bitch," Serene muttered. "I now understand everything. She got close to Dominic on purpose."

Her lips twisted. "I always wondered how she dared to risk her life pulling him out of that exploding car. Now it makes sense—it was all an act."

Valentina frowned. She had not thought of this angle. But now everything seemed calculated.

It was obvious that Marco attempted to kill Dominic and tampered with the car. But he actually had Mila to save him so he could fit her close to Dominic.

"She could have taken him to a hospital," Serene went on with contempt. "But no... she took him home, played caretaker, and made him trust her."

Valentina didn’t doubt a word she spoke. "You are right. This is all planned. She manipulated him. And he fell for it."

Her fists clenched. "He risked his life for her. He could have died. He could have left after knowing Marco had planned an attack. But he stayed there for her. He could have died."

A murderous glint flashed in Serene’s eyes. "Now that we know the truth, we can’t let her get away with it."

Valentina’s lips curled into a cold smile. "I’ve been waiting for this moment. No one can stop me now."

They walked out together, heading straight for Mila’s room.

The guard outside stiffened as they approached.

Valentina gave him a sharp look. "Get out of my way."

The guard didn’t budge. "I only follow the boss’s orders."

Valentina pulled out a gun and pointed it at him. "Step aside, or I’ll shoot."

The guard raised his hands, tension tightening his face. "Don’t do anything reckless. I’m just doing my job."

"Who are you protecting?" Serene snapped. "She is a spy. Are you still going to shield her?"

"What? A spy?" The guard looked shaken. His gaze flickered to Valentina. "Is it true?"

"Yes," Valentina replied. "She is a danger to all of us. And I’m punishing her. If anyone comes between her and me, that person will be my enemy. And I won’t hesitate to take action."

The guard lowered his head and stepped aside.

Valentina raised a hand and pounded on the door.

"Coming," came Mila’s voice from the inside. "Who is knocking on the door so hard?"

When she pulled the door open, she froze. Her eyes moved between Serene and Valentina, instantly sensing something was wrong.

"What do you want?" she asked cautiously.

"Do you still have the nerve to question us?" Serene snapped.

She stepped forward and struck her hard on the face.

The crisp sound of a slap echoed in the air.

Mila staggered, her hand flying to her cheek. Shock flashed across her face as she looked up at Serene.

The fire in their eyes sent a wave of chills down her spine.

"What are you doing?" she demanded.

"You’ll find out soon enough," Valentina said coldly.

Before Mila could react, Valentina grabbed her arm and dragged her forward.

"Let go of me," Mila cried. She desperately looked at the guard, hoping he would help her.

But he stood there, giving her a cold look.

It was the same as before. Mila understood no one would help her. No one here would dare to go against Valentina and Serene.

Dominic was not around. The only person who would listen to her and help her wasn’t there.

Mila felt helpless. "Where are you taking me?" she demanded, panic creeping into her voice.

No reply.

They dragged her down the corridor.

Mila stumbled, her knees scraping harshly against the floor. Pain shot through her, but Valentina didn’t slow down.

"Get up," she snapped, yanking her back to her feet. "Don’t act weak."

"Stop." A voice thundered, stopping them.

All three turned.

Remy stood there.

Relief flooded Mila’s eyes. "Remy..."

Valentina’s gaze turned icy. "Stay out of this, Doctor. Unless you want trouble."

"I’m not moving," Remy said firmly, stepping forward. "You don’t get to drag her away like this. Explain what’s going on."

"This isn’t your concern," Valentina snapped. "You are a doctor. Your duty is to treat the sick people. Don’t meddle with my matters. Move."

Remy squared his shoulders. "She is a friend, my colleague. I will stand up for her. If she has made a mistake, Dominic will decide her punishment. Not you."

"Dominic isn’t here," Valentina shot back. "I’m in charge. And I’ll do what needs to be done."

Remy took another step forward. "What if I stop you?"

"Do you want to die?" Serene thundered. "Do you even know what she did? She is a spy. She leaked Dominic’s secrets to Marco. She is a threat to all of us."
