The Demon Emperor was Saint Emperor

Chapter 76: One-Way Pass, Absolute Seal

Chapter 76: One-Way Pass, Absolute Seal

"Hello, Your Majesty the Emperor."

Lynn walked through Helena and Natasha, heading towards the Celestial Mandate Emperor.

Out of respect for the deceased, he politely greeted him.

"Lin... Lynn! I didn’t do it on purpose, can you... can you let me go? I, I’ll give you Helena! Really, my princess is beautiful, a first-class beauty!"

It was the first time he saw Lynn, and although he looked just like the portrait, a mere handsome young man, the Celestial Mandate Emperor dared not display any imperial dignity in front of him.

He had encountered advanced Saint Tiers before, but it was his first time seeing one approaching him with a Blood-Dripping Longsword.

"No need to trouble Father Emperor with gifts; before you gave me away to him, I was already his woman."

Helena said this as she walked to Lynn’s side, wrapping her arms around one of his, then rested her head on his shoulder.

Lynn glanced speechlessly at Helena, thinking, could you not cling on with that armor? It’s hard, you know?

But how Lynn reacted wasn’t really important; what mattered was Helena’s demeanor and the lack of respect in her tone while calling him "Your Majesty."

"Helena, you are..."

Though the Celestial Mandate Emperor was regarded as a fool by Lynn, he wasn’t completely senile, not to mention the undisguised hatred in Helena’s eyes, making it clear to him the current situation.

"It’s nothing significant, just that my man wants to kill you, and I’m here to support it."

Helena also realized her outfit wasn’t suitable for intimacy, so she withdrew in time, planning to get closer to Lynn once the major affairs were settled.

"You are my daughter! How dare you..."

The Celestial Mandate Emperor pointed at Helena, trembling with anger, but before he could finish, Helena retorted.

"I ceased to be a decade ago! Since the day Mother died, I’ve been waiting for today!"

"Now I’ve waited long enough! Death is not enough to repay your sins. If possible, I’d rather you die at the hands of a Necromancer, but my man is kind, allowing you to be stabbed a hundred and eight times to die by suicide."

"Are you... ready?"

After Helena finished speaking, Natasha stepped forward, pulling her away, partly to soothe her emotions and partly to keep her away from Saint Emperor so she wouldn’t steal the spotlight, as even between sisters, things had to be fair.

"Hahaha, I am the Emperor of the Celestial Destiny Empire, a True God’s descendant, who dares to kill me?!"

Seeing his daughter turn into a foe, the Celestial Mandate Emperor wasn’t heartbroken; he never regarded his daughter as significant, especially since she was more beautiful than her mother.

Beauty that couldn’t belong to him was mere decoration, not even worth as much as a maid.

With the hope of escape dashed and the powerful Lynn blocking the exit, the Celestial Mandate Emperor was no longer as panicked.

"Dare to assassinate the Celestial Mandate Emperor, a True God’s descendant! Divine Punishment will befall you! Lynn, would you dare perish with me?!"

A moment ago, the Celestial Mandate Emperor might have avoided Lynn at all costs, but now, he strode towards Lynn, as if challenging him despite his less-than-Initial Saint prowess.

"Divine Punishment? I’ve had it a few times, currently in good condition."

The Celestial Mandate Emperor dared to approach him, and Lynn wouldn’t show weakness either, advancing on the desperate ruler.

"You..."

Hearing Lynn’s casual remark, the Celestial Mandate Emperor froze in disbelief.

"Survived Divine Punishment? More than once?"

Even though this sounded improbable, the Celestial Mandate Emperor, careful with his life, dared not take any risks.

"Stop him for me! I need to leave here!"

The Celestial Mandate Emperor’s demeanor changed as fast as a Sichuan opera’s face change. While yelling for his confidants to protect him, he fled panic-stricken towards the Golden Hall’s exit.

However, just as he reached the door, he was rebounded with a "bang," and when he got back up, a streak of blood was already trickling down his face.

"If I can confine the space of the Imperial City, do you think I can’t seal this small palace?"

Lynn toyed with two small items in his hands, advancing towards the desolate Celestial Mandate Emperor.

They were an 800-level demigod-tier pendant with broad spatial confinement abilities, known as "One-Way Traffic," and an 800-level Sacred Artifact token called "Absolute Seal," capable of constructing temporary air walls.

Though not the top-tier items in Lynn’s collection, they were more practical than the Saint Emperor’s Armor in this situation.

"Spare me... I am a True God’s descendant, killing me carries severe guilt; it’s not worth it... You are the continent’s peak warrior, leave the Celestial Destiny Empire, and you’ll enjoy endless riches and luxury wherever you go. It’s not worth risking your life for scum like me!"

Perhaps the fear of death broke the Celestial Mandate Emperor’s courage. Now, he sat on the ground, mumbling, barely intelligible without close listening.

"If that’s your last words, I suggest you restructure them. Don’t rush; you have one hundred and eight stabs-worth of time, so take it slow."

As Lynn spoke, he raised the coarse iron sword high, slicing off a piece of flesh from the Celestial Mandate Emperor’s shoulder, eliciting a heart-wrenching scream.

In another world’s ancient times, there was such an extreme punishment called "dismemberment," but Lynn couldn’t bring himself to be that cruel, opting instead for a simplified version to send the Celestial Mandate Emperor on his way.

But after the first "stab" with the iron sword, he frowned.

It wasn’t about not being able to go through with it, but that the object of punishment was wrong.

"Seems you have a bit of sense, knowing to hide."

Lynn flicked the blood off the sword’s edge, looking at those subdued by his externalized Fighting Spirit.

"However, since I’ve sealed the entire Imperial City, no matter how well you hide, you can’t escape."

With these words, Lynn no longer attended to the wailing Celestial Mandate Emperor but turned to approach the cowering princes and consorts in the crowd.

"Lynn..."

Natasha instinctively called out upon seeing this, but Helena, frowning, stopped her.

The "Father Emperor" before them lacked even a piece of protective gear, easily revealed as a fake by Lynn’s sword proficiency. He truly was skilled, for only from outward appearance, voice, and habitual behavior did he perfectly replicate the original, so much so that even his own daughter couldn’t tell.

If the cowardly man hadn’t been unwilling to part with a few life-saving trinkets for his decoy, there might have been a slight chance he’d have slipped by unnoticed.
