Read a bit of it and then skimmed ch300, which makes me give it 5/10(2/5). It's not shit, I suppose, but it tries hard to be funny, or perhaps ironic or something, and it just really falls flat on its face. It seems to kinda be attempting to make fun of cliches, but it's done by actually making use of those cliches and then just making the MC hyper-aware of it? Which is just a chore to read through? Similarly, while I enjoy the attempts to make cultivation understandable, it ultimately doesn't add much to the story- the writing isn't bad, but the way these explanations are done make them a slog. I don't mind when stories go more in-depth about the system, but not how it is here. Similarly, the MC doesn't come across as someone who's already lived through two extensive lives- I could enjoy his personality if it was leaned into a bit more, but the story takes him very seriously and it just does not work. Was hoping for a nice comedy, slice-of-life with him taking in some disciples maybe, but it dun' work bro.
