The Cornflower Witch

Chapter 114: Moon Rabbit Village Restaurant

Chapter 114: Moon Rabbit Village Restaurant

The armor golem forged from steel, with its metallic armor gleaming with a faint bluish luster, raised its giant axe. An intangible Aspect aura spread out, causing several students to tremble with fear.

"Sorry, senior, we can only deliver the things this far," Taya and the others spoke with difficulty.

Sylutia shook her head. "It's not your fault. This is fine."

After saying that, she used both hands to lift the heavy suitcase herself and walked slowly towards the two golems blocking the way.

As she approached, the badge worn on her chest emitted a halo of light. The two tall golems stepped aside, allowing her to pass.

Taya and the others stood at the bottom of the staircase, watching enviously as the silver-haired figure stepped up the stairs one by one, passed between the large golems about three meters tall, and disappeared around the corner of the third-floor staircase.

"Those who can obtain the 'Hidden Grove Badge' are all true geniuses guaranteed and recognized by the examiners. It's said that among those who pass the third stage objective, only one in five is awarded a badge."

"Yeah, in our country, there seems to be only one, Senior Mid, the heir of Duke Blue Finch."

"Wearing that badge, you don't have to pay for meals within the Camel City. That alone is enviable. Having a dedicated bedroom suite is even more jealousy-inducing," two girls whispered as they discussed.

"Alright, let's head back," Taya called out to the group."If we meet that senior next time, we should be able to introduce ourselves to her. That way, we'll have backing within the Hidden Grove in the future."

...

Although addressed as 'senior,' Sylutia's appearance looked quite a bit younger than the others. Now, half a year later, her height remained unchanged, and her slender, delicate figure was still well-maintained, with a back arched like a crescent moon, making her posture exceptionally light and agile. If enhanced with the Breathing Technique, she could also unleash astonishing power.

After reaching the third floor, the young girl put down the suitcase in her hands and looked around with slight surprise at the incredibly spacious corridor. Luxurious decorations were everywhere; the carpet was woven from golden wool, and the walls were hung with exquisite paintings depicting scenery from across the continent.

On both sides of this corridor, there was only one door every ten meters or so. Currently, some doors were tightly locked with names written on them, while the nameplates on other doors were still empty, presumably unoccupied.

Walking through the long corridor, she occasionally passed a silver mirror that clearly reflected her profile. She walked inward, found a door with no immediate neighbors, relatively quiet, pushed it open, and entered.

The dormitory here was similar to an apartment residence from Sylutia's previous life, with an area of about 160 square meters. It had an independent bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining area, study, bathroom, and even a meditation room, truly fully equipped.

After putting down the suitcase, Sylutia took out the potted Swan Orchid and placed it in the bedroom. An intangible floral fragrance dispersed, purifying the surrounding air.

Afterward, she sat on the soft white bed, her body bouncing slightly before settling down.

Feeling the soft comfort of the mattress, Sylutia lay down, her body and mind relaxing considerably.

The room was very quiet, with no one walking in the corridor outside to disturb her. However, on the table in the living room stood a wooden sign with writing on it, detailing the usual cleaning times and the function of a bell.

[The bell can be rung three times daily to summon a maid for cleaning, cooking meals, washing clothes, changing bed sheets and pillowcases, etc.]

[Daily meal times are 6-9 AM, 11 AM-1 PM, and 6-8 PM. Meals are free when wearing the badge. If you miss the time, please summon a maid to prepare separately.]

[If you need food delivered to your room, please inform the maid in advance; it will be brought to your room at the next meal time.]

[Use the furniture in the room normally. If there is serious damage, it can be replaced once for free.]

[The 'Heart-Calming Incense' in the meditation room is replenished every three days. Please use it sparingly.]

After checking the instructions on the wooden sign, Sylutia remembered something. She returned to the door, inserted the key, and soon, a special pattern spread from the keyhole, followed by a *click* sound.

When she took the key out again, a line of text appeared on the key's handle: [Third Floor, No. 22]

What a special key. The young girl felt a sense of novelty. She tried using the key to open the door; indeed, it turned and opened easily. But after pulling the key out, the door wouldn't open again.

Hanging the key securely inside her clothes, Sylutia glanced at the clock in the living room. It now showed 12:14 PM.

Let's go eat something, otherwise, it'll be past the time soon.

She walked out of the room, locked the door, and went back down the stairs.

Arriving at the hall on the 5th floor, she glanced at the somewhat sparse hall and continued down the stairs to the 7th floor below, which was much livelier.

The hall had about sixty square tables, with various service windows on both sides. Inside, different kinds of food were displayed, and some waiters busily brought them out, handing them to the arriving students.

They collected food using the rings on their wrists. Simple bread and water were directly free, but items like roasted chicken, steak, etc., required additional payment.

Besides the main hall cafeteria, there seemed to be several corridors on the side leading to different restaurants. These independent restaurants had different signs, and the culinary styles inside also varied.

Sylutia wasn't in a hurry now. Curious, she walked into one of the corridors to browse the restaurants along the way.

Most of these restaurants served human food, but a few were specifically opened for other races. For example, there was insect-based food for lizard sub-humans, toad sub-humans, and winged sub-humans; fodder-based food for bull-headed, sheep-headed, and centaur-like beings; and some shops with special styles offering blood beverages or pure dew, probably exclusive to those rare races.

Among the students, roughly 80% were human, with only 20% being other non-human subspecies. The relationships between the two sides were also incredibly varied; some were hostile towards humans, while others were arm-in-arm with humans.

Passing by one restaurant, Sylutia saw a tall lizardman holding several human companions while drinking, letting out hissing laughter.

Finally, she stopped in front of a forest-themed shop. This restaurant had a quiet environment, with the doorway naturally blocked by plants. As she approached, the branches and leaves on both sides automatically curled up, making way.

Entering the shop, Sylutia saw many hanging orange lanterns. Some students were sitting sporadically in the restaurant. What was more special was that most of them had pointed ears—elves, rare on this continent—with a small minority being human.

"Hello~ Are you here for a meal?" A rabbit-eared maid dressed in cute, light-colored attire appeared, coming before Sylutia.

She had a creamy golden hair color, was about the same height as Sylutia, and wore a black-and-white uniform somewhat resembling a maid's outfit.

"Yes. I saw the notice in the room that using this is free, right?" She showed the badge on her clothes.

Seeing the badge on Sylutia's chest, the rabbit-eared maid nodded vigorously.

"That's right, it's free. You just need to press the badge against the bill after your meal to mark it."

"Welcome to 'Moon Rabbit Hometown Restaurant'~"
