Chapter 183 - Goddess's Eyes

Maya climbs too high on the tree so that she can see Kalki's whole battalion fighting under her eyes. She felt like an eagle which chases it's prey from the sky! After reaching a certain height, she kneels on a huge branch steadily. She can't just be careless now, can she? After all she loves her life mpre than anything. She looks ahead keenly. Her accurate vision surprised even herself.

As she can clearly see every single one of them fighting with vigour. She notices a thick smoke of sand surrounded around a single man.

While others were fighting one or two men, this single man stood out killing bunch of men in few seconds.

She gasps realizing "How fast is he moving his sword?!"

'Who can it be other than him?!'

She never ever in her life seen someone fight so fast. Not to mention rotating that heavy Royal swords that fast.

'I can't even lift those two swords without my powers! Even though I was irked when he mocked me for lifting This Bow, I know it's still heavy for me! But those swords...'

She already noticed his two heavy swords hung on the both sides of his waist. But she never thought he is this capable!

'No wonder even his enemies trembled hearing his name! I can still remember how those men got scared after finding that I was his wife in the forest that day! I wonder how he really handled the Cursed Water.....'

She didn't even think of that incident after that day. Only now she realizes how careless and stupidly ignorant she has been in all these situations!

'If I continue being like this, even a kid in The Royal Palace won't respect me! No wonder the future me..The Empress..looked so frustrated seeing me! I should do something instead of being locked inside that chamber whole day!'

Finally she gets back from her daze with a determinant look on her face. Her eyes shone with a new fire filled with excitement!

Her heart still trembles seeing the blood splashing around Kalki now. Literally. He is bathing in blood. She chooses to ignore that fear and takes a deep breath.

But Kalki is not at all making this easy for her. His ruthless fight challenged her guts by each moment passed. Not even a single life is spared in his way. She also realizes something very important now.

'I should never be in this man's bad side..This man is The God Of Swords! Even the air around him is helping him by hiding him in it's thick fog!'

Maya gulps swearing those initial words clearly in her mind again. She can never escape this man's wrath.

Maya's face darkens seeing Kalki advancing towards the Fort and smirks "I will let you know my presence, Crown Prince!".

She stands from her kneeling position and leans back on the huge trunk to keep her balance. Fortunately she is not afraid of heights. So, she doesn't have any fear seeing everything from that height.

Instead she felt so excited as the vision in front of her made her feel like A Goddess!

She felt like she is blessed with Goddess' Eyes!

Maya is now aiming the arrows by holding them against the string firmly. Ready for her first strike anytime.

'I can't be unimpressive in my first battle, can I?!'

She grins mischievously and shoots the arrow ahead.

Kalki, who was about to kill two men in front of him, feels arrows swooshing in his direction. His eyes turns dark with murderous glint. He creases his eyebrows viciously.

'How dare someone attack my prey-!'

THUD!

THUD!

In next moment, the men in front of him fell to his right side with a heavy thud! And the final arrow strikes the ground right next to Kalki's sword, striking a small part of his sword in the process.

CLING!

Kalki "..."

Maya's grin broadens seeing his reaction. He was still looking at the arrow beside him curiously as if it just landed from Hell!

HA HA!

She chuckles holding her Bow still in the same posture with next three arrows already ready to attack further.

She mocks with a playful giggle "What happened Crown Prince? Feeling challenged? What can you do now? You won't abandon the fight and search for me in this dense forest, will you?".

Before she could shoot her next arrows, she freezes seeing him looking right at her side in the dead eye.

Maya "..." How in the Heavens-

She gasps stunned "Did he find me just by the arrows direction?! He should have! J just helped him *coughs * Why is he staring as he will snap my neck?!".

She thinks of shooting the arrows for a moment but she clears her throat awkwardly "Better I take the guards of the fort for now".

She tilts her head confused "Is he too capable of seeing me from there?"

She shoots most of the guards on the fort and creases her eyebrows feeling something strange.

'Why am I sensing-'.

She gets shocked seeing his eyes still on her.

'Holy heavens! Why is this man so petty?! I just took two men away from him! Doesn't he killing loads of them?! Why is he still staring me?!'.

She feels her forehead starting to sweat in coldness and gulps. She sneakily looks at him and relaxes seeing him not glaring at her anymore. 

"You didn't kill any of them, Your Highness"

Maya gets startled hearing Marcus and grabs the branches swiftly before losing her balance.

Maya gasps staring at Marcus "You scared me!".

Marcus bows "I beg Madam's forgiveness. I didn't mean to startle you-".

Maya regains in her previous posture and aims at the fort. She doesn't know how he managed to climb without making any noise!

She answers still focusing the fort "I agreed to help you. Not to kill anyone".

There is no one on the wall of the fort for now but due to her inexperience and nervousness she decides to stay alert all the time. 

What if she becomes careless and something happens?!
