Chapter 177 - The Huge Man: Marcus!

While Maya in the battlefield. 

"Your Highness?!"

Maya's dreadful trance was broken by a sudden new voice. She never heard the voice before which means someone noticed her presence! 

She doesn't want to be recognised or even seen. She just want to return back to the Palace. Even though she doesn't like it as how she likes The Countryside Pavilion, she prefers locked in there to be in this ruthless battlefield! There is no doubt that death will pounce on you any time here!

Maya snaps at a soldier who was staring at her from head to toe as if he is seeing a ghost. 

Her heart is pounding so fast and even stopped her breathing when she realized that man knows her presence. 

'That huge man saw me! I should do something before he kills me- but his armour has The Northern Realm's symbol! -'

Only then she recalls he called her as 'Your Highness' which means he knows my identity. At this point she got used to be a Royal. She knows she is not in any immediate danger now. But still she couldn't stop this fear slowly engulfing her.

"Matt! Cover me!"

Maya looked at him as if her eyes glued to him ever since he found her. She hears him yelling and watches her saviour-for-now keenly.

He darts from his place after tossing the enemy soldier aside and runs towards her while killing few of the enemies on his way. Even though some other man probably Matt helped him killed most still he killed some effortlessly.

Maya almost threw up seeing them carelessly bathing in blood. She steps back seeing his huge image finally closed their distance. But her efforts from escaping him were vain as she felt like an ant fell in an ocean. She has never ever seen anything horrific like this!

The man yells while grabbing Maya's hand and lifting her roughly "Someone! Hail the Royal flag!".

In next moment, Maya was in that huge man's embrace and was dragged somewhere. She doesn't know where. He was constantly commanding the people around him and she couldn't hear him as she was struggling with her foot trying so hard to run equally with him. 

"What?! Are you out of your mind?!-"

A voice growled at the huge man but stopped as soon as Maya lifted her head towards him.

The man looks at Maya and gulps in horror. He blinks and his eyes flashed in some realization. 

"What is Her Highness doing here?!"

The huge man grunted impatiently "Just hail the flag and cover us! We need to take her to our camp!".

Maya doesn't have any time to react till now but she marvels how the bunch of men effortlessly took her towards the whatever place while killing everyone ruthlessly on their way.

She realized one thing which was very important. She can never act like these men! They were just five and they managed to kill so many! She always believed that women too can become warriors but they can't act this heartless! That's what she felt.

Soon they took her to the camp. She was seated on a wooden stool and she doesn't know what to do now. 

'What should I do? How in the universe did I reach here?!'.

The camp was silent and she looks around the place only to find all the armours and weapons. 

The huge man spoke carefully looking at his men "Lets guard the camp till His Highness reaches here!".

Maya freezes hearing him as only now she came back to Earth from a dizzy daze. Everything happened so quick and she didn't think of something very simple.

'What?! Till He reaches here?!'

As if sudden thought made her eyes go wide, she gasps in a small voice "Where am I?"

'I know I am in middle of a battlefield but where exactly? The war! To which He went!-'.

Realization made her sick.

The huge man "...."

'Did she reach here without knowing?! How could this even be possible?! We are hundreds of miles apart from The Royal Palace!'

Everyone is startled by her question. All of them had the same question in their mind.

The huge man answers her carefully not startling her "Your Highness. It's the Southern Realm".

Maya's already shocked eyes widened even more and shrieks once her heard the answer her heard dreaded "What?!".

'I don't want to be here! I don't want to see that man's face!'.

The man looked worried but more curiosity filled his voice "How did you end up in the field, Your Highness?!".

"You didn't come with us!"

Another voice came impatiently and she knows that was Matt. The huge man's companion. 

An other new voice other than the huge man and Matt came from behind them which sounded even more worried yet with respect "Even if you come here why did you leave the camp?!".

Maya "..."

It's Maya's turn to go speechless and stare them as if she was seeing the ghost!

'How in the universe did I just appear here?! How the heavens did I travel miles apart in-'

Maya tilts her head thinking of something curiously and blurts out her mind "Wait.. What day is it?!".

The hige man answered carefully "Tuesday-" and stops seeing her starting to panic.

Maya was frightened as she felt like she was losing her mind. 

'Just before few moment I was in the Royal Palace!!'.

Matt declares looking back "His Highness will be here anytime".

Maya panics "..." Already? Can't he come late so that I can escape from here?!

The huge man nods in deep thought and looks at them as if gesturing something. Everyone leaves Maya alone inside the camp.

Maya lifts her lazy body off the stool and looks around the camp to find a way of escape. She guesses that these men will take at least some time to inform him. She must hurry! She darts around the camp carefully not knocking anything in haste. She can't afford carelessness now.

She stops in her track when she heard a roar outside which challenged her to even take a step further. She can't even move from her place as he sounded angry. 

"Why would Xavier come here? And why am I knowing this only now?!"

She has seen him cold and emotionless but not his anger! At this point she forgets her escape plan completely. His angry filled voice demanded everyone's attention and fear.

"Tell me who helped him to come here? Why is he here and not healing in the Palace?!"

"It's not Prince Xavier, Your Highness"

Maya wonders in surprise as she never thought that huge man still anwered his question.

'How can he even speak?!'

"Then?"

"It's your wife. Madam Maya is here"

Kalki "...."

Maya "..." 

Silence

Maya wanted to dig the ground and bury herself under it. 

'Even if I dig it who will fill the soil over me? But I would die- Heavens! He is coming inside!'
