Chapter 131 - I can also Exile you!
Maya bites her lips hard in this sudden realization. Only regrets haunted her! She fiddles with her fingers nervously still lying on the bed staring the huge and wide ceiling over her helplessly.
'What were you thinking, Maya?! You could have ran away! Or you could have just pretended fainting in fear! No! He could have killed me if I closed my eyes! Huh? But I am still alive even after fainting...Right..I could have just pretended being sick and left this chamber! But no! You chose to stab the Emperor-to-be of this country!!
She is taunting herself in deep thoughts while thinking more and more of her audacious action!. She tilts her head confused.
'How am I even alive after what I did? Didn't they throw me in some prison?! I heard Sarah telling that the traitor must be left to rot in the prison! Did they come up with more brutal punishment than imprisonment?! Are they going to lock me in that Cold Prison?! What if they already opened it?!'
She sighs bitterly 'The stab wasn't ...fatal...But still..I stabbed Him?! And he just allowed me to do it? I don't believe he could be easily stabbed...Then..was I tricked?! Did he plan this to send me away from here in some other way?! Heavens! How did I end up getting fooled by him?! But...he too looked surprised when I stabbed him-'.
She frowns remembering something 'I felt..' and gasps checking her stomach "Did he really stab me?!". She bites her lips not feeling anything and frowns confused.
"You won't be alive if I did".
Maya blinks at the voice and sits at once realizing who is it "....".
Finally she got to know that she was not alone in the huge and majestic chamber!.
She knows whose the voice is. She can sense the danger in his voice clearly showing that he was just stating the truth and he was utter displeased by her 'deed'!.
'True! If he decides to kill me, would he even play stabbing with such small knife?! He would just behead me, wouldn't he?!'
Maya stands from the bed slowly, staring Kalki who was returning a smirk. Maya can sense her previous injury didn't made her wince now and gets confused.
Kalki just stays seated on the chair majestically as if he rules the entire world!
Maya gulps seeing his arrogant posture and still stands without any words awkwardly. Suddenly she doesn't want to run from her danger. She decides to face it for one time! After all, even after everything he kept her alive!
Kalki raises his eyebrows boringly and states "You had a chance to leave. But you chose to stay".
Maya darts her eyes dumbly hearing him stating her decision. She twitches her lips puzzled.
'Did he completely forget that I stabbed him?! Does that mean he forgave me already?!'.
She has no idea that he was asking her a reason for her speeches in the Imperial Court! He got to know about her disinterest being a Queen through his beloved brother and the servants already yet she chose to not leave.
'Why did she choose to desert the only chance she had to escape from all this?...Only if she truely want to leave...'
With than thought Kalki smirks at her in disdain as if he already analysed every single possibility.
While here...Our Poor Maya stood there dumbly. But poor did she know? He never talks or asks anything normally?!
'You had a chance to leave. But you chose to stay'
This sentence might be a declaration for anyone but for Kalki. It's an order to explain everything!
If Xavier was there, he would've understood his statement as question and answered him at once but Maya wants to remain as a mute! A stupified one!
Kalki frowns irked as he wanted her to speak and growls impatiently "Why didn't you leave?".
'This woman! Doesn't she understand?! I never had any need to talk since my childhood! Every servant and people around me understand my thoughts without wanting me to state it! This woman has already made me to speak whole lines and is still sitting like a rock! I don't have all day to waste my precious time on her!'.
Maya twitches her lips at his question which hit her face as a tight slap. She wanted to stab him again for this rudeness in his tone but her mischievous mind tempted her to smirk instead.
She asks calmly "Why should I?".
Kalki mutters mockingly "At least this thing talks".
Maya gets offended "..." How dare he?!
She rebukes "Forgive me to remind you that I have justfied myself in the Imperial Court! ".
Kalki tilts his head meaningfully "That brings you to answering my question".
Maya couldn't help get astonished at the man's sharpness that he brought the conversation back to where it started! She thought she might escape asking a question back to that question but realizes that he would not leave her without proper answer!
She swallows her displeasure and states with a hint of anger "If you want me to leave, then send me with my dignity. I don't want to leave with any humiliation or accusation".
Kalki states with a devilish tone almost instantly "Now you are accused for stabbing This Highness-".
Maya protests "This is unfair! You threatened me before-".
Without letting her to continue, Kalki only smirks dangerously "I can also exile you".
Maya gulps in shock 'I am going to be my own death!! What have I done to myself?!'.
Kalki finally stands from his chair and walks around the huge table. He rests his hands over the edge of the table and examines every single miniatures keenly.
Maya couldn't help but feel anxious about his words and she asks gulping her fear for one more time "I don't want to leave this country".
'Why?'
Kalki just remains silent. Till he gets the right answer for this single word question, he is going to make her die in anxiety and fear!
