Chapter 737: Giving You Too Much Face?
Chapter 737: Giving You Too Much Face?
As Ronan Kingston’s words fell, the classmates in the room suddenly realized.
So that’s what it was about!
The classmates couldn’t help but start to criticize Willow Grant—
"Just because she’s called the frog prince, does she really think she’s a prince? Does she need to be given that much face?"
"Exactly! If the police hadn’t found out they were pretending to have a concussion, wouldn’t it be Summer Monroe who would be blamed? Willow Grant actually said it was no big deal, truly, when the punishment isn’t on you, you don’t feel the pain!"
"She really has the nerve!"
More and more people were speaking up for Summer, and the color drained from Willow Grant’s face, turning deathly pale.
She finally couldn’t take it anymore, ignored the two girls, and with reddened eyes, turned around and ran out of the classroom.
She really didn’t understand why, even though she kindly spoke up for the two girls, the classmates collectively began to accuse her.
Even if this wasn’t Summer Monroe’s fault, what mistake had she made?
She was only being kind!
Willow Grant clenched her hands tightly, her nails digging into her flesh. She hated Summer Monroe, hated her to the bone.
Just then, a large hand suddenly pressed down on her shoulder.
Mio Osborne’s voice sounded: "Willow Grant, class is about to start, why are you sitting here crying? What happened?"
Willow Grant turned her head and, upon seeing Mio Osborne’s face, the tears that had been welling up instantly fell.
"Professor Osborne, did I really do something wrong?"
Mio Osborne, hearing this, was confused and quickly asked, "What exactly happened?"
Willow Grant stuttered, "Two classmates in the class had a misunderstanding with Summer Monroe. Summer directly called the police to arrest people. I was afraid that the situation would escalate and have a negative impact on our class and the school, so I kindly spoke up for the two girls. But then, the entire class, including Summer, started to criticize me. Professor, should I really not have spoken up for them?"
Upon hearing this, Mio Osborne immediately felt a surge of anger.
Summer Monroe! It’s her again!
Relying on Damian Knight’s backing, she dares to be so arrogant and overbearing. Does she think he doesn’t exist as a teacher?
He looked at Willow Grant and said, "You did nothing wrong in this matter. Don’t doubt yourself because of their words. Wait here, I’ll go take a look."
Willow Grant nodded tearfully.
Watching Mio Osborne’s back, she couldn’t sit still and couldn’t help but follow him.
When Mio Osborne walked into the classroom, the two girls were being forcibly taken away by the police.
"Wait a minute!" Mio Osborne strode forward to stop the police, saying, "Excuse me, I am their homeroom teacher. The kids just had a little dispute; there’s no need to really arrest them. I can have them resolve it privately, so there’s no need to trouble you."
As soon as Mio Osborne finished speaking, he saw several police officers giving him very strange looks, making him feel uncomfortable all over.
Mio Osborne asked doubtfully, "What’s wrong? Can’t they resolve it privately if they’re willing?"
Saying this, he glared at Summer Monroe and said, "Do you have to call the police over a small matter? Do you know that by doing this, you’re ruining the lives of two individuals?"
Summer Monroe said calmly, "This isn’t a matter of whether I’m willing to resolve it privately or not."
Mio Osborne asked unhappily, "What do you mean by that?"
The students in the class immediately started speaking up to explain for Summer Monroe.
"Professor Osborne, they accused Summer of severely injuring them so if the accusation succeeded, Summer could be sentenced to several years."
"Yeah, Professor Osborne, it was clearly them who provoked Summer first, Summer’s brother couldn’t stand it and gave them a light push. They then claimed they had a concussion and insisted on calling the police to arrest Summer."
"Now it’s not that Summer wants them arrested, but that she is defending her legal rights."
