The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day

Chapter 263: You’re Not That Kind of Person

Chapter 263: You’re Not That Kind of Person

During the day, Fenhollow looks even more beautiful than at night, with maple trees planted everywhere, though the leaves haven’t turned red yet this season, creating a lush urban forest.

But Summer Monroe wasn’t in the mood to enjoy the view; after meeting Damian Knight, she directly followed him into the villa.

Damian Knight was still in his pajamas, but he was already fully awake, though his hair was a bit messy.

Originally, he had stayed up late last night finishing his work, planning to sleep in today; but upon hearing that Summer had been targeted by "that person," how could he sleep? Let alone groom himself.

However, although he didn’t have time to freshen up, he did prepare dumplings for Summer.

As soon as Summer entered the house, she saw two plates of steaming dumplings on the dining table.

Just as Summer was about to speak, Damian Knight led her to the table and said, "No matter what happens, eat first. It’s not good to let hunger cause stomach issues."

Feeling warmth in her heart, Summer was about to thank him when Damian said, "I’m worried about getting a stomach issue myself, so I made some for you while I was at it."

Summer: "..."

But this time, she knew that Damian’s words weren’t sincere.

However, she didn’t say anything, quietly sitting down to finish the dumplings Damian had made.

She ate rather quickly and looked up to see Damian not yet finished.

Summer couldn’t help but observe Damian’s eating manner.

She hadn’t expected that Damian, who usually acted so decisively, would eat in such a refined manner, moving with a sort of noble elegance.

His unhurried pace resembled someone savoring an expensive Western meal rather than eating dumplings.

Perhaps her gaze was too focused, as Damian suddenly looked up.

Summer quickly diverted her eyes, awkwardly clearing her throat.

This time, however, Damian didn’t tease her like the previous night; he simply sped up his actions.

Once a plate of dumplings was gone, Damian began to discuss the main issue: "Tell me, what happened at your home? What did that guy do after hacking your computer?"

Summer said directly, "He asked me to join him, and he said he’d come for me in three days."

Damian raised an eyebrow in slight surprise, saying, "It seems he’s interested in your hacking skills."

Summer nodded, "I’ve set up a special firewall on my computer, with anti-detection capabilities. Before they attempt another hack, my system will lock onto their IP address."

"Well done!" Damian’s eyes were full of admiration: "This time, I will definitely catch that guy!"

"I hope so..."

What worried her was the possibility that he wouldn’t hack her computer again, but instead, come directly to her for an answer.

Clearly, Damian had the same thought and said, "I’ll assign bodyguards to secretly protect you. I won’t let him harm you."

"Don’t worry." Summer said calmly, "I’ve also hired bodyguards myself. You don’t need to worry about my safety. What matters is something else."

Damian remembered Summer mentioning her family was in some chaos, and he looked up to ask, "What happened at your home?"

Summer pursed her lips and said, "Clarissa Stanton is dead."

"What?!" Damian widened his eyes in shock, then frowned and asked, "Is this... related to that person?"

Summer paused, then chuckled softly, "I thought your first reaction would be to think that I killed Clarissa Stanton."

Damian shook his head: "You’re not that kind of person, I know that."

In that moment, Summer felt as if something soft and warm had filled her heart.
