The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day

Chapter 231: Counter Every Move

Chapter 231: Counter Every Move

Felix Jennings shrugged, not in support.

"It’s not part of my plan. Display screens can easily get caught."

"Relax, I’ll find a reasonable explanation, just say I’m introducing my home. Everyone will just think it’s a coincidence, no one will suspect."

"If you’re insisting, then let’s do it this way. Time it right, don’t waste the golden opportunity."

"I know." Coralie Hughes said as she hid the aromatherapy in her handbag and walked briskly into the villa.

Returning to the hall, Coralie Hughes seemed like a different person, smiling at everyone she saw, speaking gently and politely, back to the demeanor she had at the start of the party.

The guests couldn’t help but whisper, "I bet that gossip is fake, right? Coralie Hughes may be reckless, but there’s no way she would harm her own father. And what benefit would she gain from killing Evan Hughes?"

"I also think it’s just baseless rumor. Even if it’s about inheritance, Coralie is the sole heir of the Hughes family, Evan Hughes would have to hand it over to her eventually, no reason to rush."

"Looks like we misunderstood her."

"I’m going to toast her with a drink, after all, today is her birthday."

In an instant, Coralie Hughes became the little princess admired by all.

Summer Monroe took in all of Coralie Hughes’ changes, but she had no reaction, only tugged slightly at her lips, then shifted her gaze elsewhere.

She scanned the entire hall but couldn’t find a trace of Felix Jennings.

Has everything been arranged?

Just then, several chefs pushed out an eight-layer cake.

"The cake is here! The cake is here!"

"What a beautiful cake! Coralie, the little birthday girl, what are you still standing there for? Come and cut the cake!"

Everyone warmly urged Coralie Hughes to make a wish and cut the cake.

Coralie Hughes was pushed by the crowd to the front of the cake.

Candles were lit, the lights in the hall dimmed, and everyone sang the birthday song in unison.

Coralie Hughes clasped her hands, closed her eyes, and made a wish.

"God bless, may this plan be flawless, may I completely destroy Summer Monroe!"

After making her wish, Coralie Hughes felt she had the perfect timing, location, and people.

She lifted her gaze, and amidst the chants to cut the cake, she handed the knife to Summer Monroe.

Summer Monroe looked at Coralie Hughes in confusion, as if she knew nothing, innocent and naive.

Coralie Hughes sneered inwardly but outwardly expressed gratitude saying, "Summer, you helped save my father, your great kindness I keep in mind, please cut this cake."

Summer Monroe smiled and shook her head in refusal, "It’s your birthday, how can I steal your moment? You should cut it yourself."

Yet Coralie Hughes simply forced the knife into her hands, enthusiastically saying, "How can that be? You must cut it! You’re the Hughes Family’s great benefactor, if you don’t cut this cake, who will?"

As Coralie Hughes said, she directly led Summer Monroe towards the cake.

During this, Summer Monroe’s eyes were half-smiling.

Looks like Felix Jennings’ plan is about to start, should she cooperate? Or not?

No need to choose, she’ll definitely cooperate!

Knowing the trap, she could counter it gracefully.

Sure enough, just as Summer Monroe reached the cake, she heard Coralie Hughes let out a "Oh!", and collapse towards her.

Behind her was the towering cake.

Summer Monroe could easily dodge based on her reaction, but she deliberately feigned a slow reaction, getting hit soundly by Coralie Hughes who "accidentally" twisted her ankle.

Her whole body toppled towards the cake—
