Chapter 174: Diary Secrets
Chapter 174: Diary Secrets
Yesterday, due to the unexpected explosion, some scenes weren’t finished, but the filming director rewrote the script, so there’s no need to reshoot.
Today’s shoot only involves promotional photos, which is relatively easy.
When Damian Knight walked into the studio, Summer Monroe was dressed in a Midnight Coffee House employee uniform, holding a Midnight Coffee House coffee cup, posing as asked by the photographer.
The filming director saw Damian Knight and quickly greeted him, "Young Master Knight..."
Damian Knight gestured for silence, his gaze fixed on Summer Monroe.
You could see her keen sense for the camera—whenever the photographer gave a direction, Summer immediately understood and struck the desired pose.
The director beside him whispered, "Miss Sadie truly is a natural model. With such a spokesperson, Young Master, you’ve struck gold."
Though Damian Knight usually disliked flattery, for some reason, hearing the director praise Summer Monroe made him feel unusually pleased.
The day’s shooting wrapped up, and Summer Monroe finished the work planned for the next two days ahead of schedule.
After the shoot, Summer went straight to Damian, who was busy with work on his tablet.
"Do you have time tonight?"
Damian’s heart suddenly raced. He cleared his throat and, trying to sound nonchalant, said, "Though I’m a bit busy, I can still make time for dinner. If you’d like to join me..."
"No." Summer cut him off. "I left something at your place. When can I get it back?"
Damian’s face froze, and his mood instantly soured.
So he had been getting ahead of himself?
With a grim expression, Damian tossed the tablet to his chief assistant and said flatly, "I’ve already called Isaac. He’ll bring it over shortly."
Just as he finished speaking, Isaac Ross arrived.
"Boss." Isaac handed over a secure briefcase with reverence. "Your belongings are in here."
Summer looked at the sealed briefcase, briefly bewildered.
What... the heck?
Isaac gave Damian a knowing glance and said, "It’s someone insisting that your stuff needs to be carefully stored without a single mistake, so here I am... with a case. I’ll open it for you."
Isaac said this as he opened the case, taking out the notebook inside.
Summer took the notebook and involuntarily glanced at Damian.
Damian awkwardly said, "I always do my best when I’ve promised someone something. The item is now yours, I’m leaving."
Afraid Isaac might blurt out more nonsense, Damian quickly dragged him away.
Summer stood there holding the notebook for a while, then suddenly started laughing quietly.
She suddenly realized that Damian Knight was actually... kind of cute.
On her way home, the editing team had already worked overtime to release both the promotional video and photos all at once.
Once the video and photos were released, they stunned netizens.
Summer’s online fan count surged to seven figures, rivaling that of celebrities.
But Summer didn’t care about that. After filming, she locked herself in her room at home, sitting at her desk, seriously going through her mom’s diary.
The first page of the diary was dated before Luna Monroe’s marriage, and it mostly covered work matters, with nothing particularly noteworthy or useful.
Until—
June 20th, heavy rain.
Today was dangerous; I encountered a robber, but fortunately, a kind person helped me. He... was quite handsome; I’ve never seen him before, and I don’t know his name. Oh, I really should have asked for his name.
