Chapter 384: Chapter 385: From Tough Guy to Warm Man

"Did you thank Uncle for the gift?"

"Yes, yes. I promised Uncle Aaron that Dad would cook for him every day."

Adrian Desmond fell silent.

"Dad, Uncle Aaron loves sweets. Make a cake tomorrow. Make a strawberry-flavored cake and a chocolate-flavored cake," Curly ordered Adrian around, treating him like their family’s cook.

Adrian shouted, "Aaron Faber! Get over here!"

"Sixth Master, what’s the matter?" Aaron Faber walked over, smiling at Adrian.

"You want me to cook for you every day?" Adrian narrowed his eyes, his gaze dark.

"Heh heh, Curly said that. I wouldn’t dare ask Sixth Master to cook for me every day. Curly said your cooking is delicious, and I haven’t tasted your cooking yet. If I could eat your cooking just once, I would die without regrets," Aaron Faber said exaggeratedly.

"Get as far away from me as you can! My cooking is not for you!"

Adrian could cook, but only Sienna Johnson and Curly could eat his cooking. As for the others... Hmph, they could stay away.

In the end, it was Walter Klein who cooked for the three of them.

"Walter, what is this you’ve made? Ugh, there’s actually eggshell in the eggs!" Aaron Faber complained. "And look at these potato shreds you cut! They’re as thick as a finger, and they’re not even cooked through..."

Walter Klein was unhappy. "Young Master Aaron, if you don’t want to eat, then don’t. No one is holding a knife to your throat and forcing you."

"Your cooking is so terrible, can’t I even say a few words about it?"

Walter Klein directly took the plate of food from in front of Aaron Faber and started eating silently.

These men had all been lords in Abyanabad, well taken care of. Now, in Sileria City, they were utterly down and out. Sixth Master cooked, Walter Klein cooked... Men from Abyanabad did not enter the kitchen.

"Eat more shrimp. This stir-fried shrimp with scallions tastes good."

Adrian peeled the shrimp for Sienna Johnson and fed it directly to her. Aiden Howard watched, stunned, wondering what on earth was going on.

How did Sixth Master change from a fierce, cool, and domineering tough guy into such a warm-hearted man? This temperament is completely off.

"I can do it myself." Sienna, noticing everyone staring, felt embarrassed.

"Just pretend they’re not here," Adrian said, continuing to serve Sienna as usual. Seeing his insistence, she relented and enjoyed his attention.

Aaron Faber ate Walter Klein’s not-so-tasty food, watching Adrian’s family of three enjoy their colorful, fragrant, and delicious meal. His heart ached; the difference in treatment couldn’t be more obvious.

After dinner, Adrian Desmond accompanied Sienna Johnson on a walk.

They went for a walk every day after dinner, so their neighbors had become familiar with them. An Auntie from the square dancing group saw Adrian and greeted him.

"Little Adrian, taking your wife for a walk again?"

"Yes."

"Your wife’s complexion has improved a lot these days. You must have put in a lot of effort, right, Little Adrian?"

"Her sleep and appetite are still not good..."

Several of the Aunties from the square dancing group gathered around and shared their experiences with Adrian, telling him about diet and nutrition for pregnant women. Adrian actually started chatting with them, earnestly taking notes on what they said.

One Auntie continued, "...During pregnancy, she should exercise more. With your wife’s small stature, giving birth will be tough for her."

"Yes," Adrian replied. "I take her for a walk every day after dinner. On weekends, we take her to a prenatal yoga class."

"That’s good," another Auntie chimed in, "but remember not to let her over-exercise. If she’s tired, she needs to stop. Also, if her sleep isn’t good, make her some lotus seed porridge. I have lotus seeds at my place, brought from my hometown. They’re pure, organic, and pollution-free. I’ll bring some over for you tomorrow."

"Thank you."

"No need to be so polite, we’re all neighbors here."

Adrian said goodbye to the Aunties and walked over to Sienna. She was looking at him with a strange smile. Adrian asked, "What are you laughing at?"

Sienna, with her hands behind her back, circled him, leaving Adrian baffled. "Are you Adrian Desmond?"

"What do you think?"

"I feel like you’re not the Adrian I know at all. Could it be... that your soul has been swapped with someone else’s?"

Adrian took Sienna’s hand and chided, "Stop talking nonsense."

The two continued walking until they reached the community’s ginkgo forest. The ginkgo trees were just sprouting new leaves and had not yet borne fruit. A ginkgo leaf, caught by the wind, landed on Sienna’s shoulder. She picked it up and played with it in her palm.

"Want to take a break?"

"Yeah."

The two of them sat on a bench in the ginkgo forest. Sienna rested her head on Adrian’s shoulder, watching the sky gradually darken, turning from blue to black.

"I’ll leave Brett Jacobs and Aiden Howard with you," Adrian said. "Take them with you whenever you go out."

"Why?"

Brett Jacobs was Adrian’s bodyguard, and Aiden Howard was also a formidable individual; their combined strength was not to be underestimated.

"I’ve found out that Master Leland is very fond of Sabrina Johnson, and he also cherishes the child in her womb. If you make a move against Sabrina, Master Leland will undoubtedly retaliate against you. I have my own matters to attend to, so I can’t be with you 24 hours a day. With them by your side, I’ll feel more at ease."

"Okay, I’ll listen to you."

Sienna didn’t want to act impulsively either. She was pregnant now; if something were to truly happen, it would be too late for regrets.

「The next day」

Everyone in Sileria City woke up to a video and an audio recording. The internet, radio, and other traditional media outlets quickly followed up on the news. By the afternoon, it had even appeared on television and in newspapers.

While Sienna Johnson was in her office at the Eastminster Group, eating a special meal for pregnant women that Adrian had sent her, media and reporters swarmed the Stewart family’s home. They were trying to interview Frederick Stewart and Sabrina Johnson. When Sabrina Johnson saw the dense crowd of people outside, she flew into a rage and started smashing things in the house.

"Damn it, who did this?!"

Sabrina thought of Master Leland. Ignoring her disgust for him, she called him. As soon as the call connected, she furiously demanded, "What on earth happened? Didn’t you say nothing would go wrong? How did someone film me hitting that bitch?!"

"Calm down!"

"I can’t calm down! Those reporters are right outside the villa now, blocking the entire road! If they burst in, what am I going to do?!"

Now, only she and the servants were left in the villa. William Stewart had received the news early on and had fled with his entire family, abandoning her to face all of this alone.

What should she do?
