The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress

Chapter 420 - 421: Kidnapping Sienna Johnson

Chapter 420 - 421: Kidnapping Sienna Johnson

"Dad, why are you so angry? So I dug up the Johnson family’s tomb? Is that such a big deal that you need to get this upset? I didn’t kill anyone. And even if I did, so what? Can’t our Leland family afford a life?"

Milo Leland simply didn’t take these matters seriously, his attitude exceedingly arrogant.

"You... you ungrateful whelp!"

"Dad, I don’t like hearing that! What ungrateful whelp? I dug up the Johnson family’s Ancestral Tomb, not our Leland family’s!"

"Always leave yourself a way out, so you can face people in the future! Digging up someone’s ancestral tomb—how could you do such a thing! That kind of act is spiritually damaging!"

Master Leland had navigated the underworld his entire life, his hands stained with no small amount of blood. However, he believed that dust should return to dust; once a person died, all grievances and disputes were over. Who would dig up someone’s grave after they died? Such an act was too shameful to even speak of.

"Dad, what’s wrong with you? I’m doing this for your sake. That little bitch, who does she think she is, daring to splash tea on your face? You’re just too good-natured, that’s why she thinks she can bully you! I just wanted to teach her a lesson. If she doesn’t learn to behave, next time I’ll find a few men to gang rape her..."

Master Leland couldn’t listen anymore. He strode forward and slapped Milo hard across the face.

"Dad, you hit me?"

"Yes, I hit you! If I don’t set you straight now, you won’t even know how you meet your end."

Milo Leland didn’t take Sienna Johnson seriously at all. Hearing Master Leland’s words, he sneered, "Dad, I’ve noticed that as you’ve gotten older, your nerve has shrunk too. She’s just some young chit of a girl; what are you so afraid of? Well, I’ll tell you, *you* might be scared, but I’m not! If you can’t stand it, then stay out of my business. I take responsibility for my own actions. If they come knocking on our door, just tell them to come find me."

Milo Leland was defiant and wouldn’t listen to a word.

"Dad, I’ve got things to do. I’m heading out."

"You stay right there!"

Milo Leland walked out, leaving Master Leland so furious he nearly fainted. Rodney Leland, who had been standing guard outside the door, heard Master Leland’s roar and came in.

"Ungrateful whelp... Ungrateful whelp..." Master Leland cursed.

"Master Leland..."

"This ungrateful whelp! If he keeps acting so recklessly, he won’t even know what hit him when his time comes!"

Though Milo Leland wasn’t his biological son, he was the Leland family’s only male heir. Master Leland had always doted on him, never expecting to cultivate such an arrogant and domineering personality. He deeply reflected on the problems in how he’d raised his children. In his early years, he was so busy with his career that he had no time for them. His daughter, Cynthia Leland, lived a frivolous life, going from one man to another; she’d even go to a hotel room with a man after just a few drinks at a bar. And Milo was so impulsive and reckless...

"Master Leland, please calm down. Don’t let anger affect your health." Rodney Leland poured a cup of tea and placed it before Master Leland.

Master Leland quickly composed himself. Sitting in the old-style wooden armchair, he gazed at the character for "Harmony" spread out on the table and pondered for a long time.

As the saying goes: It’s better to resolve enmities than to create them. If they could avoid making an enemy of the Johnson family, that would naturally be best. However, this feud had already begun. How could it be resolved so easily?

"Does the Johnson family know Milo was behind it?" Master Leland asked calmly.

"That man, Adrian Desmond, is investigating. He has likely already found out."

Truthfully, Master Leland didn’t give Sienna Johnson much thought; she was just a young woman who knew a thing or two about business. The one he was wary of was Adrian Desmond. Having lived a life on the razor’s edge, accustomed to tasting blood, Master Leland possessed an innate sensitivity to danger. His gut feeling told him Adrian Desmond was cut from the same cloth—a man of the underworld like himself. Moreover, he had seen Adrian Desmond’s subordinates; none of them were ordinary. Any one of them, if let loose, could become a local power in their own right. Adrian Desmond’s strength was clearly not to be underestimated.

"And that Adrian Desmond—have people keep a close watch on him. I want to know everything about his background!"

Rodney Leland frowned. "Adrian Desmond is very mysterious; we’ve found very little on him... However, we recently discovered that the Princess Consort of Abyanabad is Adrian Desmond’s biological sister."

"Oh?" Master Leland was taken aback. He had assumed Adrian Desmond was merely someone from the underworld; he hadn’t expected him to have such a profound background. "Is this information confirmed?"

"Confirmed!"

"This Adrian Desmond... he’s rather interesting!"

Master Leland looked at the character on the table and sighed. "Jayce is quite taken with that Adrian Desmond. If Jayce has the ability to win him over, it would be a tremendous boon for our Leland family."

Rodney Leland offered a flattering remark, "Jayce is so beautiful, with many suitors. Adrian Desmond will surely fall for her charms eventually."

Master Leland sighed again. "No matter how beautiful Jayce is, she can’t outshine Sienna Johnson... *That* is true beauty... If I were a few decades younger, I’d probably be captivated by her too."

Rodney Leland offered no comment to this.

I originally thought Adrian Desmond was marrying into their family to avoid a few years of struggle. It seems things aren’t as I imagined.

"You may leave. Let me think," Master Leland said.

"Yes, sir!"

Not daring to utter another word, Rodney Leland excused himself as instructed.

Upon leaving the Leland residence, Milo Leland grew increasingly angrier the more he stewed over the encounter. He’d gone to all this trouble to vent Master Leland’s anger for him, and what did he get? Nothing but a lecture from the old man.

"That Sienna Johnson! I won’t let her off the hook!" Milo Leland fumed, blaming everything on Sienna Johnson.

One of Milo’s men suggested, "Boss, how about we snatch her tonight? Let Brother Milo... enjoy himself a bit..."

"Exactly, exactly... That Sienna Johnson is truly stunning. I’ve never seen such a beautiful woman."

"Brother Milo," another chimed in, "don’t you agree?"

Milo Leland was lecherous and had long coveted Sienna Johnson’s beauty. When his underlings, eager to please him, hatched this wicked idea, a sinister urge stirred within him. He grinned wickedly. "That’s actually a good idea!"

One of his men said with a lewd smirk, "Brother Milo, you’re a beast in bed! You’ll be countless times better than that pretty boy... Women, huh, they’re all the same. They say ’no, no’ with their mouths... but once their bodies are satisfied, their hearts will follow..."

"You, you, and you... go to the Johnson residence and bring Sienna Johnson to me! I’m going to teach that damned bitch a good lesson!"

"Yes, sir!"

These henchmen, accustomed to aiding Milo in his villainy, were emboldened by Master Leland’s implicit protection. They knew that even if they caused trouble, Master Leland would clean up the mess. Thus, their audacity had grown, and there was nothing they wouldn’t dare to do.
