The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress

Chapter 349 - 350: Calling Husband

Chapter 349 - 350: Calling Husband

Sienna Johnson’s once-worn shirt was ruined, and it wasn’t cheap... Sienna felt a pang of regret.

If she’d known, she wouldn’t have tried to seduce him.

"I’ve only worn this shirt once... I asked you to unbutton it for me, why did you tear it?" Holding the shredded shirt, Sienna furrowed her brow and complained to him.

Adrian Desmond, impeccably dressed, looked at her petty display and said, "Don’t I give you enough living expenses every month? Can’t you afford a shirt?"

"How much do you give me every month?"

Adrian was a very chauvinistic man and naturally felt it was his duty to support his woman. He had given Sienna a card, but she had never used the money in it.

She wasn’t the kind of woman who depended on men to live; she had her own career and could earn enough to support herself.

"Your credit card is linked to my Black Gold Card. You can use it to buy a yacht worth 1.5 million."

"Sixth Master, you’re so rich! I feel like I’ve really struck gold."

"That’s right, you’ve definitely struck gold. So if you ever leave me again, you’d be a fool!"

Since the shirt was unwearable, Sienna put on her bra. The suit jacket she wore over it could only be buttoned up, feeling uncomfortably empty underneath.

She couldn’t wear her panties anymore either; that man had used them to... wipe himself... and now they were covered in white stuff...

"Oh, by the way, where’s the yacht you gave me?"

Adrian’s face darkened, and he fell silent.

"Hey, where’s my yacht? The one you gave me. You didn’t sell it, did you?"

"It’s gone," Adrian said irritably.

"How can it be gone?"

"I blew it up."

"Why? You gave it to me, so it was mine! Why did you blow it up?" Sienna had actually quite liked that yacht; she’d only been on it once.

"Didn’t you run away? You didn’t even want me, so why would you need a yacht?" Adrian snapped.

Sienna rubbed her nose and chuckled sheepishly. "You’re such a petty man. That was so long ago, and you’re still bringing up old scores..."

"Shut up!"

"Okay!"

「...」

The car passed several more intersections and arrived at Nuport Road. As soon as they got out, they saw the large sign for "Peach Blossom Village." This was also a private kitchen restaurant with milder flavors, which was why Sienna had chosen it.

"Mrs. Desmond, didn’t you say you were treating me to a grand meal? This place doesn’t look expensive at all... You’re not being very sincere, Mrs. Desmond."

Adrian had expected Sienna to take him to an opulently decorated grand hotel for dinner, not to a private kitchen restaurant steeped in such a strong nostalgic ambiance.

"Expensive doesn’t always mean delicious... The place I brought you to is absolutely delicious. You have to trust me."

Although they hadn’t gone to Abyanabad for their honeymoon, Adrian insisted that they spend this time alone together, without anyone disturbing their life as a couple. So, the bodyguards followed at a distance, not approaching, and Sienna was the one driving.

"Let’s go."

The wallpaper in the private kitchen restaurant was a rich, warm amber-yellow with a hint of gold. The massive crystal chandelier exuded an old-world, sumptuously extravagant decadence. Antique-style glass lampshades, exquisitely carved screens, and old celebrity photos, movie posters, and calendar pinups gently guided visitors along.

The first time Sienna had come here, she had fallen in love with the restaurant’s atmosphere. Stepping inside, she was instantly captivated, as if transported to old Wavecrest Beach, her mind filled with images of alluring Wavecrest women in elegant qipaos.

In the private room, the two sat facing each other while Sienna ordered the meal.

Farmhouse Braised Pork with Zongzi Leaf Fragrance, Soup-Filled Shrimp Balls with Crab Roe, French-Style Mock Crab Shells, Eight Treasure Duck, Quick-Fried River Shrimp... Sienna also ordered some desserts for herself and a bottle of dry red wine.

When the waiter brought the first dish, Sienna said, "This is authentic Jadeite Shredded Tofu. Try it and see what you think. It’s my favorite dish."

After all that "exercise" in the office, where a certain lazy person had ignited his passion only to lie back and enjoy herself, he was the one who had sweated and exerted all the energy. Adrian was indeed hungry. He picked up his chopsticks but didn’t immediately take a bite, examining the dish closely instead.

The milky-white shredded tofu was as fine as hair, as thin as paper, yet unbroken and resilient. It rested languidly in the clear, fresh broth. He glanced up at Sienna, who was watching him with a faint smile, eagerly waiting for him to taste it.

Adrian took a bite. It was tender and smooth, with a distinctively fresh and crisp flavor.

"Mm, it tastes good," Adrian commented.

Sienna was delighted and began to eat as well. Both of them had good appetites.

During the meal, they occasionally glanced at the exquisite lake scenery outside and chatted intermittently. The two of them were getting along quite harmoniously.

"Why have you stopped eating?" Adrian asked.

"I’m full."

Adrian placed a few slices of beef into her bowl. "Eat more. You’re too thin. Honestly, you don’t feel very good to hold..."

Sienna pouted playfully. "Are you saying you find me lacking?"

"Try hugging a rack of ribs and see how that feels."

Sienna wasn’t fat, but she definitely wasn’t just a rack of ribs either. She had curves in all the right places and a well-proportioned figure. This was a personal attack! Sienna retorted, "And you think you’re any better? Your whole body is hard as a rock. When I hug you, it’s like hugging a stone—feels awful too!"

"A stone? I spend time exercising every day to achieve this physique, okay? You should be grateful! ...Today, when I went to your company, one of your female employees even tried to seduce me."

Hearing this, Sienna’s eyes lit up. "What happened?" she asked curiously.

"In the Human Resources Department, there’s someone named Lucy Harrington. She tried to seduce me! When you go to work tomorrow, fire her for me. Make an example of her to warn the others."

"Sixth Master, you’ve only been in Orienta for a short time, but your idioms are getting better and better. You even know how to ’make an example of someone.’ I won’t fire an employee arbitrarily, especially not for personal reasons."

"Hey, aren’t you afraid I’ll be snatched away by other women?" Adrian was displeased with her nonchalant attitude. What did she mean by that? She clearly didn’t care enough about him!

"A man who can be snatched away isn’t worth keeping anyway."

Just as Adrian was about to lose his temper, Sienna smiled radiantly and asked, "Husband, you wouldn’t be snatched away by other women that easily, would you?"

"What did you just call me?" Adrian was stunned.

"Husband."

"Say it again."

"Husband..."

"Say it again..."

Sienna stopped and glared at him. "I’m not a broken record. Isn’t it annoying to keep saying it over and over?"

"Heh..." Adrian chuckled. When he laughed, the lines of his face softened, losing their usual cold, hard edge.

Sienna had to admit that Adrian was strikingly handsome; at the very least, he was incredibly pleasing to the eye.

"Wife..." he called out softly.

"Mm-hm," she acknowledged.
