Xia Yuge is a public figure. On this day, Qin Muni received a call from an unfamiliar number on her way to a restaurant. After hesitating for a few seconds, she answered the call.

A deep male voice came from the other end: "Hello, is this Miss Qin?"

"Yes, may I know who this is?"

"Hello, I am Xia Yuge’s defense lawyer, my name is Wang Shouyong."

"Alright." Qin Muni coldly murmured and just as she was about to hang up, she suddenly heard Wang Shouyong’s voice from the other end again.

"Miss Qin, I’ve heard that Xia Yuge stayed at your suburban villa for some time before she was imprisoned?"

Wang Shouyong’s voice carried a hint of curiosity, but Qin Muni clearly heard the thick implication of threat.

Apparently, Xia Yuge had told the lawyer about Qin Muni imprisoning her and assaulting Xia Weifu, so the lawyer intended to use this to threaten Qin Muni in order to help win the case and get Xia Yuge out of prison.

Qin Muni’s red lips curled into a cold smile. She really found the lawyer’s threatening tactics to be somewhat contemptible.

"Is that so?" She didn’t directly answer Wang Shouyong’s question, merely responding with a casual, rhetorical question.

"That’s what I heard, too. I sincerely hope you’ll consider visiting Miss Xia. I won’t disturb you further."

Qin Muni hung up the call with Wang Shouyong. After gazing out the window in thought for a moment, she instructed the driver, "Turn around, to the prison."

"Yes, ma’am."

The driver turned the car around, changing the destination from the restaurant to the prison.

After more than twenty minutes of driving, the car arrived at the prison, and the driver stepped out to open the car door for Qin Muni in the back seat, respectfully asking, "Ma’am, do you need me to accompany you inside?"

"No need, just wait for me in the parking lot."

The prison guard was visibly surprised to see Qin Muni visiting and promptly came forward to attend to her upon seeing her figure.

After presenting her ID and completing the visitation procedures, Qin Muni was led to the visiting room, waiting for the prison guard to bring Xia Yuge.

Before long, Xia Yuge appeared at the other end of the visiting room, with a glass partition between her and Qin Muni.
