Qin Muni clearly didn’t approve of his words and just frowned slightly without responding.

The ward fell into a quiet atmosphere once again. Qin Muni was sitting on the sofa chair in front of the hospital bed, engrossed in playing with her phone, while Xu Yisen sat on the bed, thinking about how to divert Qin Muni’s attention to himself.

"How do you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day tomorrow?"

"Anything’s fine."

"Shall we have a blast tonight and celebrate into Valentine’s Day?"

Xu Yisen’s outrageous suggestion made the corners of Qin Muni’s mouth twitch lightly. She then lifted her eyelids and cast a disdainful glance at the not-at-all-serious Xu Yisen.

He received her gaze and smiled a very innocent smile.

"Stop fooling around." Qin Muni pouted, then stood up from the chair, "I’ve planned to meet up with Chu Yan and Lu Xin today, if you’re bored, just find someone to keep you company."

Xu Yisen opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to persuade Qin Muni to stay, but then feared she would reject him, so he obediently closed his opened mouth and reluctantly nodded.

His hesitant look was noticed by Qin Muni, who curled her lips with a smile, walked over to the edge of the bed and sat down, then cupped Xu Yisen’s face with her hands and softly kissed his rosy lips.

"I’m heading out now."

With those words, she immediately got up from the bed and left in large strides without looking back.

Xu Yisen sat on the bed, watching her carefree departure, feeling inexplicably a bit melancholy.

He reached out to the bedside table, picked up his phone, and dialed a well-memorized number.

The phone only rang for a moment before the person on the other end picked up.

"Hmm, what’s up?" Qin Muni’s slightly lazy voice came from the other side.

Upon hearing her voice, Xu Yisen couldn’t help but smile, responding, "Didn’t you say that if I get bored, just find someone to keep me company."

Qin Muni on the other side clearly caught the hint in his words. She replied with a mix of amusement and helplessness, "Find Ziyuan, Jiuchen, Zhenhai, or one of those guys."

"Darling, are you just going to abandon your injured man like this?"

After pausing for a few seconds, Qin Muni honestly answered, "Yes. I’ve also been bored here at the hospital these past few days, so Mr. Xu, please recover soon."

Hearing Qin Muni’s words, Xu Yisen couldn’t suppress a light chuckle, "Alright."

"I’m hanging up now."

"Mm, have fun."

After hanging up, Qin Muni walked to the elevator, took it to the VIP underground passage, where the driver had already parked the car, waiting for her.

Seeing Qin Muni exit the elevator, the driver got out of the car to open the rear door for her.

After getting in the car, Qin Muni informed the driver of the destination, then lazily leaned back in the seat, gazing at the fleeting scenery outside the window.

The car drove for nearly twenty minutes before reaching Qin Muni’s destination, a maternity hospital.

Before getting out, she opened WeChat and sent a message to Zhang Luxin and Shao Chuyan, asking where they were.

After they informed her they were on the third floor, she instructed the driver, "Head back, no need to wait for me."

"Yes, ma’am."

Greeting the driver, Qin Muni then opened the car door and headed straight into the maternity hospital.
