Someone Gave You a Rose?
Someone Gave You a Rose?
Nalya
"Get in the car," he ordered softly,
"I don't want to go anywhere with you," I spat. Rhaegar put his hands on my shoulders and pulled me closer to him, inhaling my scent.
"Just get in the car with me... please," he begged. I got in the car and put on my seatbelt. He started the engine and drove. However, we didn't go to Azura's house. I said nothing about it, loving the calmness and tranquility between us. He was showing me the historical places of the pack.
After hours of driving around silently, we were at the border. There were traders and some men in uniforms, patrolling.
"Do you want to come out for a while?"
"No," I didn't look at him.
"I'll be back soon,"
I got out of the car the moment he left. I leaned against it as I watched people go about their day.
A girl no older than ten brought me a rose.
"Oh, thank you," I smelled it.
"You're so pretty," she said.
"You too," She smiled at me and rushed to her parents. They waved as they walked away. I smiled, bringing the white rose to my nose.
I watched Rhaegar talk to a few people. He felt my gaze on him and turned to look at me. I glanced away and got in the car.
Rhaegar came back.
"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. Are you tired?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"Someone gave you a rose?" he glanced at it.
"Yes,"
He only smiled and drove, " Hungry?" he asked.
"No,"
We reached the mall in ten minutes, and he opened the door for me. I got out and followed him. I stood in front of the revolving doors, grimacing.
"I thought you'd have gotten used to them by now," he was amused.
"They are weird and perilous," I whispered. My heart pounded in my chest, and sparks erupted on my skin when he held my hand.
The restaurant we were in was lovely and dimly lit. Rhaegar pulled out a chair for me.
"This place has fine food," he said.
A waitress came to us. She bowed to the Prince and smiled at me.
"Hello, welcome to Grigs. I'll be your server today," she said politely.
"Um, do you eat prawns?" the Prince asked me, and I nodded.
"She'll have the creamy garlic prawns, and I'll have a creamy fettuccine Carbonara," he said.
"Your order will be ready in seven minutes," the server said.
The Alpha Prince pressed his phone as we waited. When he put it down, he sighed.
"How is work going at the country club?"
"Good,"
"Do you enjoy working there?"
"Yes,"
"That's wonderful, but you didn't have to work there," he said.
"I need the money if I'm to leave soon," I told him, and he looked unsettled.
"You're still leaving me,"
"As you wished," I retorted. He sighed and sat back in his seat.
"I don't want to cause you more pain, Nalya,"
I didn't answer as two servers came to us, putting food on the table, and it was mouthwatering. I started to eat the food in front of me.
"It's good, huh," Rhaegar was smiling at me.
"So tasteful," I moaned, making his eyes dark. He blinked a few times. They were back to the ocean blue.
We ate the food, and Rhaegar made me eat his food as well. Everything was so delectable.
"I noticed you have a good palate like me," he seemed pleased.
After the meal, we had cheesecake for dessert and went back to the pack house.
"Thanks for the meal," I told him.
"You're welcome," he said. I was about to turn around to go to my room when he grabbed my waist and turned me to him abruptly. Our eyes locked for a long time, and slowly, he leaned in to kiss me. The kiss was gentle and sweet. He held my neck and deepened it. Our tongues explored, and there were butterflies in my stomach. I pressed my chest against him, wanting more.
We pulled apart when we ran out of air, and he smiled, kissing me again quickly.
"I can kiss you all day," he said, rubbing his thumbs over my lips. His eyes glazed over, and then he stiffened. Before I could ask what was wrong, he gently pushed me forward.
"Go inside,"
I did and let out a long sigh, smiling like an idiot.
I was such a goner for this man, and it would be the end of me.
