Chapter 51 Learning Habits
Chapter 51 Learning Habits
Gu Yanshen's kiss suddenly deepened, no longer a test, but passionate and possessive.
His muscles were taut, and the bulging lines outlined a powerful silhouette in the dim light, every inch of which spoke of a long-suppressed, almost painful, desire.
Lu Xiran looked at his face so close to hers. Those eyes, which were always deep and unfathomable, now clearly reflected her bewildered state. The love and desire surging within them almost devoured her.
The icy wall built in my heart began to melt in this almost overwhelming tenderness and heat.
"Uncle... Uncle..." she murmured unconsciously, her voice so soft it was almost unbelievable, with a lingering tremor.
"Call me husband." His voice was hoarse as he forcefully interrupted her, ordering her to change her address—to a name that belonged only to him and confirmed their relationship.
"husband……"
The two words, imbued with her unique softness, were uttered gently, completely shattering the dam of reason that Gu Yanshen had been painstakingly maintaining.
A low groan escaped his throat, and fine beads of sweat trickled down his taut jawline. His last shred of restraint crumbled, and without hesitation, with an almost reverent plunder, he led her into that unknown and terrifying depths of the sea.
Extreme pain and pleasure intertwined and surged forth.
Lu Xiran was swept away by the overwhelming pleasure he gave her, and finally gave up all resistance, letting herself sink into the tide of love that she had longed for but had once retreated from and dared not touch.
The night was deep and the night was enchanting.
By the dim moonlight streaming through the window, Gu Yanshen gazed at Lu Xiran, who was fast asleep in his arms. She was curled up, her cheeks still flushed, her eyelashes wet and hanging on her eyelids. Her sleeping face was unbelievably pure, and... so fragile that it softened his heart.
He lost his sense of proportion and was insatiable.
But how can we blame him entirely?
She is far more beautiful than anyone could imagine, a rare flower blooming quietly in a secluded valley, a sweet spring hidden deep underground, which one is willing to succumb to once touched, wanting only to embrace her more tightly and explore her more deeply, imprinting all her breath and warmth into the veins of one's own life.
In her sleep, Lu Xiran unconsciously snuggled closer to him, finding a more comfortable position, burying her face deeper into his warm neck, and letting out a soft hum like a kitten.
Gu Yanshen's cold, hard heart seemed to be instantly filled and softened by that subtle dependence. He involuntarily tightened his arms around her, his chin gently resting on the top of her head, inhaling her sweet fragrance. A strange, overflowing tenderness welled up in his heart, driving him to lower his head and, with utmost gentleness and tenderness, place a kiss on her smooth forehead.
The next morning, Lu Xiran woke up with a strange feeling, a mixture of languor and bitterness.
The sunlight, softened by the sheer curtains, still made it hard for her to open her eyes. In the instant her consciousness returned, those blush-inducing and heart-pounding images from last night resurfaced, so vivid that her ears burned.
Blame him!
Today I had scheduled appointments with several potential merchants, and I still had a bunch of rectification plans to review... Lu Xiran turned her head in frustration and glared at the person beside her.
Gu Yanshen was already awake, propping his head up with one hand, watching her with a leisurely air. The morning light outlined his angular profile and the corners of his mouth with a satisfied smile. His deep eyes were filled with undisguised tenderness and a hint of... obvious smugness.
"It's all your fault!"
Lu Xiran's voice was still soft and sweet from just waking up, and her wide eyes were watery, like a little deer that had been provoked but had little intimidation, puffing up her cheeks and accusing her.
Gu Yanshen chuckled softly, reaching out to pinch her flushed cheek, his fingertips warm and affectionate. "Learn to get used to it."
He made no attempt to hide it, even displaying a somewhat self-righteous assertiveness. He showed no remorse whatsoever, but rather an air of certainty that "this will happen often in the future."
"You...!" Lu Xiran was speechless at his "unwavering" attitude, feeling both ashamed and annoyed.
When she met the intense, unyielding doting gaze in his eyes, her heart trembled inexplicably, and most of her anger dissipated, leaving only a deep, unbearable shyness.
When the two came downstairs, Bai Fang and Aunt Yun were having breakfast. Seeing Lu Xiran's slightly flushed cheeks and somewhat unnatural gait, and then glancing at Gu Yanshen beside her, who looked refreshed and satisfied, Bai Fang noticed the two women.
Bai Fang and Aunt Yun exchanged a quick glance, and a knowing smile appeared in their eyes.
"Good morning, Grandma. Good morning, Aunt Yun." Lu Xiran walked to the dining table, her voice softer than usual.
"Good morning, Ranran," Bai Fang greeted with a smile, her gaze lingering on Ranran's face for a moment with affection. "Please sit down, the porridge is just right this morning."
Gu Yanshen pulled out a chair for Lu Xiran, and only after she sat down did he sit down next to her.
Gu Yanshen naturally picked up a glistening shrimp dumpling and placed it on the plate in front of Lu Xiran.
Eat more.
Lu Xiran's ears burned slightly, and she gave a soft "hmm".
After a moment, Gu Yanshen turned his head and asked in a low voice, only audible to the two of them, "Still...sour?"
"!" Lu Xiran's face flushed red instantly. She glared at him, embarrassed and annoyed, and quickly kicked him lightly under the table.
Gu Yanshen's lips curled into a very faint smile. He didn't dodge, but instead added another spoonful of warm porridge to her bowl.
Across from her, Bai Fang, who had witnessed everything, coughed lightly, picked up her teacup, took a sip, and smiled.
Aunt Yun smiled and placed a side dish on Bai Fang's plate, saying meaningfully, "Grandma, the atmosphere this morning is really nice. Watching the young people being so affectionate makes me feel good."
Bai Fang nodded, her gaze sweeping over the two people opposite her—one blushing shyly, the other composed but with his eyes never leaving his wife—and her smile deepened: "Yes, it seems I'll be holding my great-grandson soon."
Lu Xiran lowered her head even further, sipping her porridge in small mouthfuls, without saying a word.
Gu Yanshen remained calm, but his hand, which was under the table, quietly squeezed her slightly cool fingers.
When Lu Xiran arrived at the office of the West City Shopping Mall, it was already past nine o'clock in the morning.
She quickly threw herself into her work, temporarily suppressing her shyness and excitement. The most urgent task was to clear up the deeply entrenched, lingering problems within the shopping mall.
She swiftly signed the first batch of eviction notices, targeting several merchants who had long been maliciously in arrears with rent, used their connections to occupy prime locations, and seriously disrupted the mall's order—all of whom had intricate connections with Lin Li.
This move undoubtedly stirred up a hornet's nest.
Led by Lin Li's cousin Lin Shuangli, a group of people gathered together and stormed into the mall's management office.
"Lu Xiran! You little brat, you've only been in charge for a few days, and you dare to mess with us?" Lin Shuangli's face was full of menace, spitting as he spoke. He grabbed an empty wine bottle from who-knows-where and pointed it at Lu Xiran. "If you don't explain yourself clearly today and take back that bullshit notice, you're not leaving this room!"
