Chapter 556: Clue to the Other Half!
Chapter 556: Clue to the Other Half!
Lin Xuan was unaware of the happenings outside. After returning to the Ye Family, he went back to his palace and began closed-door cultivation, first adjusting his state to its peak.
The consecutive battles earlier, along with wielding the Divine Sword, had completely drained his power. Now that he had finally recovered, Lin Xuan took out the Fire Dragon Jade Pendant. He wanted to study it and find its clues.
Lin Xuan already had two Dragon Pearls: the Earth Dragon Pearl and the Wood Dragon Pearl. If he could find the Fire Dragon Pearl, he would have three. I’ll have three Dragon Pearls! The thought alone made Lin Xuan tremble with excitement. However, after studying the pendant for a long time, he was stunned.
He discovered that the clues on the Fire Dragon Jade were incredibly vague. What’s going on here? Lin Xuan summoned the Wood Dragon Pearl and asked, "Do you know what’s happening?"
The Wood Dragon Pearl looked at the Fire Dragon Jade and said, "This is a clue to the Fire Dragon Pearl.
"However, I remember the Fire Dragon Jade comes in a pair.
"Two Fire Dragons intertwined, looking much like the motif of ’two dragons playing with a pearl.’"
Two Fire Dragons... Lin Xuan was stunned. No wonder the clues were so vague. The Fire Dragon Jade is incomplete!
Lin Xuan frowned. "Then where is the other piece? Is it still in the Ancient Relic?" Do I have to go to the Ancient Relic again?
Mu Long shook its head and said, "It’s not.
"From what I know of the Fire Dragon Jade, only one piece is in the Ancient Relic. The other should be outside of it.
"I think it should be somewhere on Dragon Island."
Lin Xuan frowned. It seemed he would have to send people to search for it. Thus, he began the search for the other half of the Fire Dragon Jade.
He no longer felt the need to be secretive, as the entire Dragon Island already knew he possessed Dragon Pearls. So, he searched openly, leveraging the power of the Ye Family, the Dragon-Seeking Pavilion, and the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower to help him find the Fire Dragon Jade.
Meanwhile, Lin Xuan stayed with the Ye Family to wait for news. While waiting, he continued to cultivate, focusing on his Alchemy Technique. He planned to concoct some elixirs for Madam Ye, who had been injured while saving him.
Lin Xuan was a fourth-grade Alchemy Master, and his alchemy skills were formidable. A few days later, he successfully refined a batch of fourth-grade elixirs.
Lin Xuan gave the elixirs to Madam Ye. Her injuries improved somewhat, but a full recovery was still a long way off. It was estimated to take at least half a year to a year, as the strike from a Grandmaster was devastatingly powerful.
The Ye Family also had an Alchemy Master, but he was only third-grade, so Madam Ye had only been taking third-grade elixirs.
When Lin Xuan brought out the fourth-grade elixirs, Madam Ye was stunned. "Where did you get these?"
Lin Xuan smiled. "I refined them myself."
"Stop joking," Madam Ye said, not believing him. "Did someone from the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower give them to you?"
Madam Ye now knew that Bai Qian Qian, the Vice Tower Master of the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower, was a good friend of Lin Xuan’s. He must have gone to Bai Qian Qian for help, and she used the Tower’s resources to gather these fourth-grade elixirs for him.
"Lin Xuan, you’re too kind. With these fourth-grade elixirs, I’ll recover much faster. I estimate I’ll be fully healed in about a month."
Lin Xuan simply smiled without explaining and returned to continue his alchemy. Previously, he could only refine ordinary fourth-grade elixirs. However, as he cultivated the True Dragon Nine Transformations, his soul could now transform into a Dragon Soul, causing his Soul Power to increase significantly.
With this increase in Soul Power, his mastery over the two Anomalous Fires also reached a new level. Consequently, his alchemy skills became even more formidable than before.
Lin Xuan was now capable of refining intermediate-grade fourth-grade elixirs. He continued cultivating, aiming to be able to refine advanced-grade ones.
And so, Lin Xuan cultivated while he waited. A month later, a clue finally emerged.
After comprehensive investigations by the Dragon-Seeking Pavilion, the Ten Thousand Treasures Tower, and the Ye Family, their search finally locked onto a target: the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance.
The Tianyang Alchemy Alliance was an organization of alchemists. It boasted many practitioners, the most skilled of whom was a fourth-grade Alchemy Master. On Dragon Island, they could be considered a top-tier power. However, they usually focused solely on their alchemy and rarely participated in external affairs. That was why there had been no sign of the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance during the recent tumultuous events.
Lin Xuan was thrilled to hear the news and prepared to set off for the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance immediately.
Bai Qian Qian said, "Those alchemists are very proud and difficult to approach.
"If you go there rashly and demand the Fire Dragon Jade, they probably won’t agree.
"It would be best if you had someone to introduce you; otherwise, you might be turned away at the door."
The Dragon Seeking Pavilion Master added, "We discovered that the Mist Rain Pavilion has a good relationship with the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance. You could ask the Young Master of the Mist Rain Pavilion to accompany you."
Mist Rain Pavilion... Chen Changsheng. Lin Xuan was taken aback for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, I’ll go find him right away."
Soon, Lin Xuan found Chen Changsheng.
Chen Changsheng was overjoyed. Are we going to the Dragon Abyss?
"Great!" he exclaimed. "I’ve just come out of secluded cultivation. My strength has grown, and I’m eager to show what I can do!"
Lin Xuan smiled wryly. "We’re not going to the Dragon Abyss this time. I need your help with something else." He then explained his intention to visit the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance.
Chen Changsheng nodded. "That’s no problem. I know Wan Er from the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance, and I can take you to see her.
"This Wan Er is the Young Alliance Leader of the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance, so her status is very high. Whether she will actually help you, however, I can’t say for sure."
Lin Xuan said, "As long as I can meet her, that’s enough." I’ll figure out the rest myself.
With that settled, the two of them headed toward the Tianyang Alchemy Alliance. Upon arriving, Lin Xuan was taken aback by the large, lively crowd gathered outside.
Chen Changsheng explained, "These people are all here to request elixirs.
"The Tianyang Alchemy Alliance is an alchemy sect, and they even have fourth-grade Alchemy Masters.
"Many of these people are here hoping to acquire fourth-grade elixirs, but very few actually succeed."
Lin Xuan nodded. Just as the two were about to enter the Alliance, a figure approached from a distance. As this person drew near, they exclaimed in surprise, "Lin Xuan, is that you!"
Lin Xuan turned his head and was momentarily stunned. He recognized the visitor. It was Huo Yuner from the Fire Dragon Sect.
"What are you doing here?" Lin Xuan asked.
Huo Yuner laughed. "I was about to ask you the same thing!"
"I’m here on business, of course," Lin Xuan replied.
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Huo Yuner pointed to the person beside Lin Xuan and asked, "Who’s this? A friend of yours? Why does he have his back turned to everyone?"
Chen Changsheng maintained his posture of having his back to the world and recited, "Heaven did not give birth to me, Chen Changsheng, yet the great Dao is as eternal as the night."
Huo Yuner rolled her eyes. How arrogant! Is he even more arrogant than Lin Xuan? She shook her head and paid him no further mind, proceeding forward.
"Let’s go, too," Lin Xuan said. He and Chen Changsheng also stepped into the Alchemy Alliance.
Their arrival alerted the Alchemy Alliance. Soon, an elder came out to greet them and invited them into a great hall.
The elder said, "Please wait a moment. The Young Alliance Leader will be here shortly."
The three of them sat in the hall, drinking tea and waiting.
Huo Yuner, assuming Lin Xuan was also there to request elixirs, decided to offer some advice. "Lin Xuan, let me remind you, the Alchemy Alliance has a very high status.
"Plus, the alchemists here are known to have short tempers, so if you’re here to request elixirs, don’t go around bragging.
"Be polite, understand?
"But even then, you might not get the elixir you want. You’d better be mentally prepared for that."
Lin Xuan just laughed. "I’m not here to request elixirs. I have no shortage of them. I came here for another reason."
Huo Yuner rolled her eyes again. There he goes, bragging again. Who dares to claim they don’t lack elixirs? Only a fourth-grade Alchemy Master could be so confident. Does he really think he’s a fourth-grade Alchemy Master? Such a boastful tone!
