Chapter 451: Forbidden Land—Dragon Abyss!

The elder said, "It’s true. The Ye Family has reclaimed the Spirit Vein."

The Black Snake Manor Master was dumbstruck. What? How is that possible? It was actually taken back? How could this happen?

"What about our people? Have they all been defeated?"

The elder’s voice trembled as he said, "Our people... they’re all dead."

The Manor Master felt a chill run down his spine. How could this happen? The Ye Family actually possesses such strength? They killed so many of our experts without leaving a single trace!

"Manor Master, what should we do?" the elder asked.

The Black Snake Manor Master’s expression was grim. He said, "Don’t make any moves for now. We underestimated the Ye Family. Their hidden strength is far greater than we imagined."

I was just thinking about devouring the Ye Family’s Spirit Vein, but it seems we’ve picked a fight with the wrong people. The Black Snake Manor Master was so vexed he nearly vomited blood.

Lin Xuan was unaware of the reaction at Black Snake Manor. He was once again heading to the Dragon-Seeking Pavilion, wanting to see what clues they had found for him.

The Dragon-Seeking Pavilion Master personally brought many scrolls to Lin Xuan. "Young Master," he said, "these are some of the clues we’ve found. Please see which Treasure interests you, and we will immediately go search for it."

Lin Xuan opened the scrolls, inspecting them one by one while mentally asking the big black dog which Treasure to choose. The scrolls contained information about various Treasures.

After looking them over, the big black dog said, "No, they’re all too inferior. Back when you were cultivating the first layer of the Ten Thousand Dragon Body, these Treasures would have been useful. But now you are cultivating the second layer of the Ten Thousand Dragon Body, which requires far more power than the first. These Treasures are no longer sufficient. You need something much more precious."

Hearing this, Lin Xuan looked up. "Is there nothing more precious?"

The Dragon-Seeking Pavilion Master said, "There are, but clues for those are few and far between. It’s not certain that we can find them, whereas we can definitely find the ones I’ve provided here."

Lin Xuan placed the scrolls back on the table. "There’s no need to search for these. They’re useless to me."

The Pavilion Master understood and had his subordinates bring a few more scrolls. He explained, "There are a few Treasures here that are indeed precious, but they are incredibly difficult to find. It could take a very long time, and even then, there’s no guarantee we could find them or gather them completely."

Lin Xuan opened these new scrolls.

Suddenly, the big black dog exclaimed in his mind, "Hey, a Dragon Pearl! That’s a great find, kid! Choose that one!"

Lin Xuan fixed his gaze on one of the scrolls. It recorded information about the Dragon Pearl, a type of Treasure that possessed potent Dragon Dao Power. According to the records, there were five Dragon Pearls in total: the Golden Dragon Pearl, the Wood Dragon Pearl, the Water Dragon Pearl, the Fire Dragon Pearl, and the Earth Dragon Pearl.

Obtaining a single Dragon Pearl would allow one to absorb the Dragon Dao Power within it. Collecting all five, however, would multiply the power gained tenfold.

Lin Xuan was ecstatic as he read the description. If he could collect all five Dragon Pearls, he would gain immense power. With that kind of power, he could finally complete the second layer of his Ten Thousand Dragon Body.

At this thought, he said excitedly, "We’ll collect the Dragon Pearls!"

The Dragon-Seeking Pavilion Master hesitated. "The Dragon Pearls are legendary Treasures. There are very few clues."

"No problem," Lin Xuan said. "Gather all the power of the Dragon-Seeking Pavilion and begin the search for the Dragon Pearls."

"Alright, I understand." The Pavilion Master nodded.

Lin Xuan looked through the other scrolls. On the last one, he saw records about the Dragon Abyss. The Dragon Abyss was not a Treasure, but a place—a peculiar Grand Canyon.

It was said that the Dragon Abyss contained many Treasures, but it was also extremely dangerous. Those who entered faced a nine-in-ten chance of death. Even if they survived, they would either lose their memories or become idiots.

"What specific dangers does this Dragon Abyss hold?" Lin Xuan asked.

The Dragon-Seeking Pavilion Master replied, "We have been to the Dragon Abyss, but we didn’t dare to venture deep. Based on our investigation, there is an incredibly formidable Soul Power within it. To be specific, it’s Dragon Soul Power. This power has a great impact on Martial Artists. Let alone others, even a Grandmaster would be unable to withstand it and would quickly suffer soul injuries. The Dragon-Seeking Pavilion Master nodded. He had already explained the dangers of the Dragon Abyss. Surely no one but a fool would go there. The Young Master is so intelligent; how could he possibly take such a risk?

The Dragon-Seeking Pavilion Master didn’t dwell on the matter any longer. He began to mobilize the entire strength of the Dragon-Seeking Pavilion to search for the Dragon Pearls.

Lin Xuan left the Dragon-Seeking Pavilion. He did not return to the Ye Family. Instead, he headed south. He was going to the Dragon Abyss.

The Dragon Abyss was located south of Dragon Island, a vast Grand Canyon. By the time Lin Xuan arrived, it was already evening. The area around the Dragon Abyss was exceptionally quiet. There were no people, not even any Demon Beasts. It seemed that to everyone else, the Dragon Abyss was a Life Forbidden Land that no one dared to enter lightly.

Lin Xuan dared to come because he possessed two Dragon Souls: the Cyan Dragon Soul and the Candle Dragon Soul. Furthermore, he had the Extreme Path Ten Thousand Dragon Diagram. This was what he was relying on. He wanted to see just how strong the Dragon Souls within the Dragon Abyss were.

As Lin Xuan approached the Dragon Abyss, his expression grew solemn. The Grand Canyon truly resembled a bottomless abyss, and a terrifying aura emanated from within, as if a true dragon were hibernating in its depths.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Xuan prepared to jump in and take a look. But before he could, a cold voice suddenly sounded from behind him. "Stop!"

Startled, Lin Xuan turned to find a figure standing behind him. It was a man in white robes, his black hair dancing in the wind. Lin Xuan couldn’t see the man’s face because he had his back to him.

"Who might you be, sir? And why are you telling me to stop?" Lin Xuan asked curiously.

The white-robed man said, "Do you have any idea what this place is? This is the Dragon Abyss, the most terrifying place on Dragon Island. To enter is to face near-certain death. If you do make it out alive, you’ll either have lost your memories or have become an idiot. If you jump in now, do you have a death wish?"

Lin Xuan’s expression turned peculiar. He could tell from the man’s voice that he was young, likely only in his twenties. Yet, the man continued to speak with his back turned, which was rather strange.

Lin Xuan said, "Thank you for the warning, Young Sir. I know this is the Dragon Abyss, but I am not afraid. I’ve heard there are many treasures inside, and I want to see for myself."

The mysterious man in white robes snorted coldly. "You’re truly arrogant and clueless! Honestly, many people on Dragon Island before you were just as young and impetuous. They ventured into the Dragon Abyss, but unfortunately, not a single one made it out alive. I advise you to give up and go back. You’re just a mere Martial General; going in there is suicide. Forget you, not even a Grandmaster dares to enter."

"Oh." Lin Xuan nodded and then promptly jumped into the Dragon Abyss.

What? The white-robed man was stunned. It seemed that for all his talk, the other party hadn’t listened to a single word.

He shook his head and sighed. Alas, another one rushing to his death. Oh well. I tried to warn him. If he’s determined to die, there’s nothing I can do.

He paid Lin Xuan no more mind and began to wait.

When the sky grew completely dark and the moon had risen, the man in white robes looked up. Seeing the full moon, he said excitedly, "The moon is bright tonight. It seems my luck is pretty good."

With that, his figure flickered, and he also leaped into the Dragon Abyss.

As soon as Lin Xuan entered, he felt a terrifying Soul Power rush toward him, threatening to tear his soul to shreds.

Lin Xuan quickly activated the Extreme Path Ten Thousand Dragon Diagram. The power of his two Dragon Souls emerged and enveloped him, protecting his own soul from the onslaught.

Lin Xuan hadn’t been inside for long when he discovered numerous skeletons scattered on the ground. These must be the remains of the Martial Artists who ventured in before and died here.

As he was contemplating this, a figure suddenly appeared before him. It was the man in white robes. Lin Xuan recognized him as the one from the canyon’s edge. I can’t believe he came down too.

The white-robed man saw Lin Xuan as well and exclaimed in surprise, "Eh? You’re not dead? Looks like you’re lucky. But alas, even if you didn’t die, you’ve probably lost your memories and become an idiot by now."

The man in white sighed. The Dragon Soul power here is so strong; there’s no way that kid could have withstood it.
