Chapter 280: Clementine And Sam PT.4 [END]
The rest of the day was spent with Sam having his way with Clementine, her breath became his and her insides accepted him with all her heart.
She couldn’t believe the pleasure, it was gentle and it slowly filled her up.
She found herself having multiple orgasms and before she knew it, she passed out from the overwhelming pleasure that took over her entire body.
Sam drained her, she could barely move a muscle and a slumber naturally followed.
But when she awoke, Sam was nowhere to be seen.
Not just Sam but the fragment as well.
Clementine felt betrayed, the fact that Sam could do this after all she had done for him?
He either had to get ungrateful or insane but she wasn’t going to make any more excuses for him.
Unlike before when Sam didn’t know he was being trailed.
He knew right now and made sure to cover his tracks so there was no way that she could track him even if she wanted to.
Clementine tried to find clues but there was nothing.
It now made sense, Sam had weaponized sex, and he must have sensed her affection for him and used it against her.
Clementine hated it but she had to admit, Sam got her good.
However, she knew that what Sam said about hearing Jason’s voice wasn’t a lie.
There was no reason for him to lie about that but this made her cautious, she knew that she had to do something about this.
Clementine quickly went back to the hole she had dug up the fragment from to see if it had broken off, it had been buried for quite some time so there was a chance that it had assimilated with the soil around it.
She was right, she saw a small chuck of rock glowing even if the glow was faint, she knew that this must be my way of finding Sam.
I dug my hand inside, if the fragment was speaking to him then maybe it could speak to me too.
And the diluted rock shouldn’t have the same intense effect as the parent fragment so she should be fine, at least this was what she was convinced of.
She knew she had to take a risk and grabbed it with her bare hands but nothing happened
It was like nothing was happening, she grabbed it but there was no voice nor did she feel sick.
"Stupid rock! Do something!" Clementine barked, losing her cool as her body began to tremble and she didn’t know when tears began to drip down her cheeks.
She couldn’t admit defeat but what Sam had done hurt her more than she cared to admit but she had to keep her head high.
She couldn’t let this break her but then her tears dropped on the rock that she had in hand.
And then something happened, she felt a sharp pain on that hand and dropped the rock on reflex.
"What the hell?" Clementine thought but there was no wound on her hand, she realized that this might be reckless on her part and quickly used a cloth to wrap it.
But unknown to her, the mutation had already begun.
-
Sam left Clementine because he knew that she would only get in his way, she had already shown that she didn’t trust his leadership anymore so she had become a liability.
Sam looked at the glowing fragment in hand, he had had it for quite some time, this was how he survived his fight with the zombie he came in contact with a year ago with Sanders.
Sanders did find it strange that Sam was able to stand despite taking heavy blows that would have killed a normal person.
"Where are you taking me to...?" Sam spoke directly to the rock, he found himself in a location that he wouldn’t have found otherwise.
There was no one there but there was a standalone building right that looked familiar.
Sam didn’t understand but he knew that this was a dangerous area, it smelled of death and chaos.
Unknown to him, he had walked right into the location that wiped out Alpha and his team long ago.
He looked concerned, Sam knew he had to proceed with caution, the bodies were so rotten that the skin had melted right off the bones.
However, they weren’t a threat as they were too rotten to move and this was enough for Sam to know that whatever slaughtered these men did so with no intention of turning them.
It reminded him of the scene he had encountered in the past, the zombie that left corpses everywhere without feeding on them.
It was irregular but Sam recognized that these people belonged to the military and not just any forces, they were believed to be among the elites.
The special force that they sent on top-class assignments that the government kept buried so a zombie could take them out then it wasn’t an ordinary zombie.
The fact that this was more than a year ago only meant that the zombie would be a lot stronger.
Sam found himself drawn to the building, he was walking towards it like his mind had lost control of his body.
He was walking right into the building and to his surprise, the building wasn’t empty.
No, it had a fragment the size of a fucking freezer in the wall, this was the biggest Sam had seen.
He was speechless but he noticed something strange, the fragment in his hand began to flash, it was blinking on and off.
But Sam noticed the inner walls of the building were doing the same, it was glowing.
This should be impossible, the fragment doesn’t take over inanimate objects.
This was new and Sam was uneasy about this, he didn’t know what to feel about this but that rock, it was the thing speaking to him all along, not Jason.
And now, he had wandered right into the nest and this was not a hallucination.
