Chapter 856 - 212: Third Trip Abroad (Part 3)

He managed to finish writing a paper during this time.

It was on the generative models he worked on earlier.

This paper, if published, would be considered a heavyweight AI paper in the academic community and could have broad applications.

But Xu Lin doesn’t intend to publish it.

He spent over an hour making some revisions, confirmed there were no issues, and had Moon God format it before publishing it on his personal website.

This time there is no English version, only the Chinese version.

Title: Generative Model.

Simple and clear.

Weibo: My paper on the Generative Model corresponding to my generative software has been published on my personal website. This is a result as significant as the Self-reflective Model and the Gradient Life Model. It will not be published in any journals, only on my website, for interested scholars to study.

"Can non-scholars read it?"

"Undergrad, senior year, preparing to graduate. I plan to write my thesis in the field of AI, referencing Young Master Xu’s papers."

"Good idea. Young Master Xu’s papers are definitely authoritative. He has tangible results here. It’s hard to say where the papers on academic sites can be applied. Many papers aren’t even worth a cent."

"This paper is finally here, I must study it seriously!"

Weibo is a mix of truth and falsehood, and there aren’t many worthy ones.

Those who can truly understand Xu Lin’s paper have already downloaded it to read; they’re all high-level talents who understand it, and even then, it takes a long time to grasp a bit.

After Xu Lin published the paper, he didn’t pay attention to it again.

He continued to focus on his game updates.

He didn’t sleep until 2 AM.

The next morning.

After washing up, Xu Lin put on a black trench coat, underneath a suit ensemble except for the shirt, all in black.

"Is something missing?"

Xu Lin stood in front of the full-length mirror observing himself.

"Oh, right."

Then Xu Lin styled his hair back with some pomade.

For someone with thick hair and a good face shape and contour.

Xu Lin’s slicked-back hair looked very handsome.

Lastly, he sealed it with some fixing spray.

At eight o’clock, Xu Lin left and drove to the airport.

At nine-thirty, the plane took off on time from Jiangdu Airport, heading straight to Berlin.

Direct flight from Jiangdu to Berlin takes about eleven hours.

Hence, at local time 13:36, Xu Lin landed at Berlin Airport.

Flight time was about eleven hours.

During these eleven hours, Xu Lin wasn’t idle on the plane. He spent some time studying German. Xu Lin, being straightforward, started by memorizing a 2025 edition of Zaya German Dictionary, then went online to find German videos to learn how to communicate in German.

Xu Lin is already proficient in English, so learning German was actually a lot easier for him because of the high vocabulary overlap between English and German, both belonging to the Germanic branch of the Indo-European language family. Additionally, their grammatical logic shares many similarities.

So for Xu Lin, learning German wasn’t difficult at all.

After leaving the airport, Xu Lin started looking for a luxury hotel on his phone and finally settled on The Ritz-Carlton.

Took a taxi to set off.

The driver was an old German man.

As soon as Xu Lin got in the car, his sitting posture, the way he sat there, simply put, wasn’t like those grandsons from Japan and Korea.

The driver asked him, "Are you a Huaxia person?"

"Yes."

They conversed in German.

The old German man smiled, saying, "Welcome to Berlin!"

Then he pointed to a photo near the steering wheel, "Do you know this man?"

"Of course I know, he’s the greatest man ever in my country’s history."

Xu Lin was quite surprised to see the great man’s photo. Seeing it domestically isn’t unusual; every household used to have his photo posted. Xu Lin’s old home also had a large photo posted by his grandpa, especially in rural areas, where every house had one, even now.

But this is abroad, so seeing the great man’s photo here indeed startled Xu Lin.

The old German man lamented, "We in this land, this Europe, were so close, everyone would have spoken German. I really envy your country for having so many great figures."

"You were indeed close, your history is quite regrettable."

Xu Lin nodded.

However, he thought to himself, it’s better that it didn’t happen. A unified Europe wouldn’t be good for other countries, especially Huaxia. These grandsons have spent quite some effort suppressing Huaxia over the years. As soon as they sign a contract, they flip the deal; they have no credibility, it’s a typical bunch of integrity-less, nationless grandsons.

All the way, Xu Lin flattered the old German by discussing various political issues.

Inadvertently, they arrived at the hotel.

The old German felt like he hit it off with Xu Lin and didn’t even charge for the ride, offering a free ride to Xu Lin here.

After arriving at the hotel, Xu Lin booked a top-tier suite.

He had a meal at the hotel.

At nightfall, Xu Lin decided to go for a walk.

This trip abroad will be quite long; he’ll return next month and will be busy visiting several countries.

Germany is just the first stop.

Local time, 8 PM.

Xu Lin arrived at Gendarmenmarkt.

Actually, this is one of the scenic spots in Berlin.

With lots of people at the tourist spots, of course.

And since it’s a developed country, tourists from every country are present.

Xu Lin saw many Asian faces, including quite a few from Huaxia.

Moreover, Huaxia people are easily recognizable, as cultural traits remain unchanged no matter where they are.

Unless the person lacks national pride and cultural confidence, then when abroad, they’d become very excited, thinking the moon outside is exceptionally round.
