Chapter 838 - 206: Shang Wanjun: Do I Look Like a Vixen? (Part 3)

Shang Wanjun didn’t speak, but she did close her eyes.

Xu Lin also held her hands, giving her Erhu lessons for the piece.

A dozen seconds later.

Xu Lin blew a breath near her ear, but Shang Wanjun didn’t react at all. She seemed truly absorbed, wholly focused.

Most people can’t achieve that kind of focus; they’re like the vast majority of ordinary folks who, when doing something, likely have their minds wandering, their attention severely scattered.

And so, half an hour went by.

"Alright, I especially paused at places where you were lacking to point them out, now you try."

"Then I’ll give it a try."

With that, Shang Wanjun began playing the Erhu on her own. She seemed to have a high level of understanding, and this time it was clearly much better than before, with no mistakes at all.

"How was it?"

At the end of the piece, she asked.

"No mistakes this time, I’ll teach you hand-to-hand once more, and there shouldn’t be any more problems."

"Okay."

Xu Lin taught her hand-to-hand once more, and after a few minutes, Shang Wanjun tried twice more on her own.

Xu Lin said, "It’s already quite good now. The next part is just practice makes perfect. Later on, when you start to feel it and put your own touch into the music, you’ll be getting the hang of it. But of course, that’s only if you want to learn; if it’s just a hobby for you, that’s a different matter."

"I want to learn,"

Shang Wanjun’s mindset is like someone from ancient times, obsessed with literature, with the arts like music, chess, calligraphy, painting, and so on—a notion that most people can’t really understand.

To put it formally, this is one of the emotional outlets for people like them.

Xu Lin: "Then just take your time to feel it, and one day you’ll fully grasp it."

"Okay."

Shang Wanjun turned around and looked at Xu Lin, "In light of you teaching me the Erhu, what reward would you like?"

"It’s up to you!"

Xu Lin sat on the couch, not even thinking about any reward.

But then Shang Wanjun put the Erhu aside, and let Xu Lin lie on the couch.

"What’s happening?"

"Just lie down."

Xu Lin complied.

"I’ve seen in movies where women feed men that thing."

Shang Wanjun puzzled, "Why?"

"No particular reason, it’s just something all men want. Psychologically speaking, it’s a sign of a woman’s affection and even submission."

"So, hypothetically, if a woman doesn’t give a man that thing, does it mean she doesn’t like him?"

"At least not physically."

Xu Lin: "But don’t take movies seriously; they are staged."

"What about in reality?"

"Just as I said before."

"I want to try it, and give it to you as a reward!"

Xu Lin saw her speaking while unbuckling his pants, with pursed lips and cheeks turning rosier.

It was evident she wasn’t as calm as she appeared.

This was the first time Shang Wanjun saw Xu Lin without pants; she unbuckled Xu Lin’s pants completely and placed them aside.

"Your girlfriend, or your women, can handle it?"

"It’s obviously not a problem."

"Oh."

Shang Wanjun fell silent. She had seen plenty of movies, and understood what to do long ago.

"Don’t look."

Shang Wanjun suddenly said.

"Then I’ll close my eyes."

"Okay."

Xu Lin simply closed his eyes.

However, Shang Wanjun was still a novice, and in the end, Xu Lin had to teach her.

Because of this issue, it took another half an hour.

Afterwards, Shang Wanjun finally went barefoot into the bathroom to brush her teeth.

"I’ll go upstairs to shower first."

Xu Lin knocked on the bathroom door.

"Oh."

Shang Wanjun replied, and added: "There are t-shirts, shorts, and underwear in the closet upstairs, I bought them for you before."

"Okay."

There was a bathroom on each floor here.

Xu Lin went upstairs to shower. Shang Wanjun was thoughtful; she had considered that Xu Lin might come, so she’d specially bought two sets of clothes for him, meant for wearing at home.

After showering, Xu Lin went to Shang Wanjun’s room to use her computer.

But it was an Apple computer, one of those all-in-one machines. Actually, in terms of entertainment, Apple computers aren’t very entertaining. You can at most listen to music or watch movies, playing games like poker was possible.

Xu Lin opened the Word document that Shang Wanjun hadn’t closed. Apparently, Shang Wanjun recently had a new book in progress.

She seemed to have a strong desire to express herself. This time, the book was a novel set against an ancient backdrop, already counting fifty thousand words.

Shang Wanjun’s third book, her writing skills had evidently improved again. It’s just unclear what topic or philosophical aspects she’s exploring in this book. Shang Wanjun’s pursuit in writing novels isn’t primarily for making money; that’s just an added bonus to her.

As he read, Shang Wanjun came upstairs.

Xu Lin looked back at her, only to see her holding a towel, covering the key parts of her body.

She wasn’t clothed.

Having just showered, her body still had some water droplets, like a fresh lotus emerging from the water.

"Aren’t there clothes? You only cover with a towel, aren’t you afraid of me?"

"You’re lecherous, but not vulgar or sordid."

"Alright then, flattering me like this makes me feel guilty looking at you."

"Go ahead, I won’t say anything."

Shang Wanjun put the towel down, turned her back to Xu Lin, and went to the coat rack to grab her dried pajamas to wear.

"How’s my figure?" She looked back and asked.

"It’s great."

"Compared to those women of yours?"

"Better than my senior and Yanyan, but not as good as the two older sisters I know."

"Older sisters?"

"The two most outstanding women I’ve met so far, in terms of physical attributes and every aspect, they’re excellent."

Shang Wanjun had dressed in her pajamas by now.

She came over, curiosity piqued: "I’m quite curious about them. Do you have photos?"

"Yes, I can show you."

Xu Lin opened the photo gallery on his phone and showed Shang Wanjun some of their photos.

"Really pretty!"

Despite being a beauty herself, Shang Wanjun had to admit she fell short, "I’ve seen this girl before. I saw you guys at the bookstore earlier."

Xu Lin: "She’s the female lead of my first novel, Chi Linyue."

"Her?"

"Yes."

"Really pretty!"

Shang Wanjun reflected, "Both of their looks seem so noble, giving off a feeling of peace and prosperity."

At that moment, Shang Wanjun picked up a mirror, examining her own face, "Do you think I look like a vixen? My features, do they resemble those of a mistress or lover?"

Chi Linyue and Pei Danqing both have oval faces.

Shang Wanjun has an almond-shaped face, along with defined features.

Shang Wanjun added, "I feel like I shouldn’t have looked at them both just now; I now feel like a vixen myself, and insecure about my own appearance."

"Isn’t that just different types of beauty? Why did you even think of vixens, mistresses, and such?"

Xu Lin couldn’t help but laugh.

Shang Wanjun shook her head, "Not sure, but when I was doing my master’s, a doctoral senior liked me and tried to pursue me. Naturally, I didn’t consent. Later, his girlfriend found out and came to school looking for me, calling me a vixen—I almost got hit by her."

"How did you handle it back then?"

"Of course, I scolded her, saying her boyfriend shamelessly pursued me, and instead of scolding him, was she trying to bully me? Such a guy, he’d never catch my interest. I actually scolded her for several minutes, but I forgot most of it; it was over two years ago, and then she didn’t dare speak anymore."

Shang Wanjun continued, "Will your women act this way in the future? Our relationship seems ambiguous; I won’t get beaten, will I?"

"They’re not brash women."

"I’ve read in the news where a man cheated, and his wife cut him with scissors. I’m a bit worried something might happen to you."

"Don’t scare me."

"Haha, just trying to scare you," Shang Wanjun laughed merrily.

"So mischievous, huh? I’ll have to spank you!"

"Then do it!"

"Really asking for it, challenging me!"

Xu Lin pulled her into his arms and swatted her bottom a couple of times.

"Is that it?"

"Want more?"

"Honestly, it’s quite comforting."

"Then I definitely shouldn’t spank you; why make you comfortable?"

"Tsk!"

"Do those two come from good families? They seem remarkably distinguished—I can feel their noble aura even from the photos; they must be born privileged."

Shang Wanjun lay in Xu Lin’s embrace, her feet mimicking his posture by resting on the table, flipping through the photos of Chi Linyue and Pei Danqing on Xu Lin’s phone.

"Everything is quite good."

"They must be very accomplished, right?"

Shang Wanjun remarked, "They seem dazzling..."

"Yes, they’re both accomplished, but they have the backing of their families, giving them a natural, significant advantage. Ordinary people cannot compare to them. If you were born into their families, you might not be inferior to them."

"I see you’re really good with words!"

"What’s the point of being good with words? I’m just speaking the truth."
