Chapter 79: Perfect Plan

Chapter 79: Perfect Plan

"Yes. Xian Tiandi," he replied.

The coordinator consulted his records, running his finger down a long scroll filled with names and assignments.

"Ah. You’re assigned to Courtyard Seventeen. Good location. Quiet area away from the main paths. Strong spiritual energy concentration due to the formation node nearby." He handed over a key token, a small jade piece engraved with the number seventeen.

"The courtyard has basic furnishings already. Additional items can be purchased with contribution points at the resource hall."

"Thank you," Xian Tiandi said, taking the token.

He followed the coordinator’s directions and found Courtyard Seventeen without difficulty. It was located on a terrace about halfway up the peak, accessible by a stone stairway.

The courtyard was a modest but well-maintained space. A small building constructed from wood and stone served as the main residence.

A courtyard garden surrounded it, currently empty of plants but with rich soil that showed potential for cultivation of spirit herbs.

A protective formation array surrounded the entire property, its presence marked by faint lines of light that pulsed gently.

Xian Tiandi entered the residence, pushing open the wooden door. The interior was simple and functional.

A main room for cultivation dominated the space, empty except for meditation cushions and a low table. A bedroom was attached, containing a bed and storage chest.

A small study occupied the third room, with a desk, chair, and empty bookshelves. Basic furniture was present throughout, all of decent quality.

It would serve his purposes well. The space was adequate for his needs, and the strong spiritual energy concentration would aid his cultivation.

He sat in the cultivation room on one of the meditation cushions and began circulating his spiritual energy.

The abundant spiritual energy of the sect grounds flowed into his body naturally, drawn in by his breathing technique. His cultivation base responded eagerly to the rich environment, absorbing the energy and refining it.

’This place will accelerate my advancement significantly,’ he thought as the spiritual energy cycled through his meridians. ’Foundation Establishment breakthrough won’t take long if I maintain steady cultivation. With what I’ve planned, I won’t be just an inner disciple for long.’

But he had other priorities first before he could focus solely on breakthrough.

The lesser concerns where identifying the Four Spirits Sect spies within the sect, the infiltrators who would cause so much damage in the future.

He needed to establish himself as a reliable disciple who could be trusted with important tasks. And he needed to prepare for the conflicts he knew were coming, conflicts that would shake the entire region.

The major ones?

Acquiring the best opportunity to forge a Chaos Qi Foundation and breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Realm.

In his past life, he’d reached the peak of the universe through brutal efficiency and relentless advancement. He’d climbed over the corpses of enemies and rivals alike, never stopping, never showing mercy. But that path had taken countless years of struggle and left him with countless regrets that haunted him even at the peak.

This time would be different. This time he had knowledge of future events. This time he could save the people who mattered, the ones he’d failed before.

Like Yu’er, who had already died once in the original timeline during that mission at the Crimson Ruins. She’d been killed by infiltrators and he’d been too weak to save her. But not this time. He’d already changed that fate.

Like Sect Leader Yue Lian, who would fall in the future defending the sect from infiltrators during a massive attack. Her death had been the catalyst that led to the Four Symbols Sect’s ultimate collapse. But not this time. He would make sure she survived.

Just cause it can.

Again, these are lesser goals.

There are certain people that had been his strength in his past life.

A knock at the courtyard gate interrupted his thoughts, pulling him back to the present.

Xian Tiandi stood and walked to the gate, opening it smoothly. A young man in inner sect robes stood there on the stone path, looking friendly but curious. He appeared to be in his early twenties, with a pleasant face and an easy smile.

"You must be the new inner disciple," the young man said, his tone genuinely welcoming. "I’m Wei Chen. I live in Courtyard Fifteen, just down the path. Thought I’d introduce myself and welcome you to the neighborhood."

"Xian Tiandi," he replied, returning the courtesy. "Pleased to meet you."

"Same here. It’s rare for new disciples to achieve inner sect status right away during the enrollment trials. You must be quite talented to skip the outer sect entirely." Wei Chen’s tone was genuinely friendly rather than competitive or jealous.

"If you need anything or have questions about how things work around here, feel free to ask. I’ve been an inner disciple for two years now, so I know my way around pretty well."

"I appreciate that," Xian Tiandi said, recognizing the genuine offer of help.

"There’s a gathering at the main hall tonight," Wei Chen added, gesturing vaguely in that direction. "Informal thing where inner disciples socialize and get to know each other. You should come if you’re not too tired from traveling. Good way to meet people and learn the unofficial rules that don’t appear in any manual."

"I’ll consider it," Xian Tiandi replied noncommittally.

Wei Chen nodded with understanding, not pushing the issue. "Well, the invitation’s open. Hope to see you there." He turned to leave, then paused. "Oh, and if you hear loud noises from Courtyard Twelve, don’t worry. That’s just Senior Brother Huang practicing his thunder techniques. He means well but doesn’t always remember to activate his sound dampening formation."

With a friendly wave, Wei Chen departed, heading back down the stone path toward his own courtyard.

Xian Tiandi closed the gate and returned to his cultivation room. He settled back onto the meditation cushion and resumed circulating his spiritual energy, letting the rich spiritual energy of the sect flow through his meridians.

’It won’t be too long before the sect competition. Three months at most.’

’That will be my chance to enter the sect’s secret realm and acquire that treasure for my foundation establishment.’

’Perfect...hehehe’
