Chapter 985 - 984: Lesson

Chapter 985 - 984: Lesson

If they didn’t take Xu Ke seriously before, after that punch, their gazes at Xu Ke were full of caution.

None of them dared to be the first to throw a punch at Xu Ke, not wanting to be the first to take the plunge; they only circled around Xu Ke, hoping to find a flaw in him by this tactic.

They thought they were being cautious, but in Xu Ke’s eyes, their actions were foolish.

It was plainly a futile effort, yet they insisted on struggling, leaving people baffled and puzzled.

"If you want to fight, hurry up. I’m in a rush to get home and don’t have time to waste with you here," Xu Ke said impatiently, frowning at the few people circling him.

The Human Resources Director was also irritated by these men, "What are you waiting for? Go for it now!" she said impatiently from the side.

The men knew that continuing to circle like this was pointless. Could they really defeat someone by making them dizzy?

Even if they could make him dizzy, the opponent might not even faint before they themselves collapse.

The men exchanged glances, making up their minds.

Three men lunged at Xu Ke from three different directions simultaneously.

Their plan was simple, Xu Ke was just one person, and his attention could only cover so many directions.

Even if he could block one or two, could he block all three at once? If he couldn’t block one of them, defeat would be inevitable.

Once someone is knocked down, any time is a good time for revenge, isn’t it?

They had high hopes, but they encountered Xu Ke, not an ordinary person.

Even though the three men lunged from three different directions at the same time, none of them could touch Xu Ke. He raised his leg and swept out in a kick.

Two of the three men were sent flying, and the remaining one stood there stiffly, raising his hands unsure whether to put them down or continue fighting.

Xu Ke retracted his leg and turned his head to look at the man.

"Still want to fight?" Xu Ke asked calmly.

The man’s mind was blank, hearing Xu Ke’s question, he dumbly replied, "No, no more."

In his heart, he wondered where Xu Ke came from, with such high Combat Power that the four of them together were no match for him.

They couldn’t even hold out for long, how embarrassing.

The man stopped his movements and withdrew his hands.

He intended to give up; he knew well enough that he couldn’t beat Xu Ke, so he thought it best to avoid humiliation and just admit defeat.

He planned to give up, but Xu Ke didn’t plan to let him go.

The man pulled back his fist but hadn’t had the chance to exchange a few words with Xu Ke before he met another kick from Xu Ke.

Xu Ke’s kick wasn’t light; the man crashed against the wall behind him, his body hitting the surface with a dull thud.

Just hearing it made one’s teeth ache.

As the recipient of the blow, the man fell from the wall to the ground, suffering secondary injuries.

He lay on the ground like a dead fish, a long vertical stripe, not moving an inch.

The other two men who were kicked down by Xu Ke had already climbed up, standing in front of Xu Ke.

Though they were also knocked to the ground, they hadn’t hit the wall and instead slid across the floor, their bodies in pain but bearable.

At this moment, the two men weren’t thinking about tactics anymore. They only wanted to knock Xu Ke to the ground, to avenge this kick.

But where is Xu Ke someone who can be easily knocked down?

The two men attacked Xu Ke again, appearing even fiercer this time, their attacks seemingly more powerful.

The Human Resources Director sat nearby, hands clenched tightly, eyes unblinking as she watched the three people on the field, appearing more nervous and excited than those involved.

Xu Ke remained expressionless, watching the two men rushing toward him.

He looked at them as if they were irrelevant, showing no trace of tension, nor an ounce of respect.

This attitude of Xu Ke’s completely infuriated the two men. In their minds, they tore Xu Ke’s image to shreds countless times.

They thought of what they would do after knocking Xu Ke down.

But sometimes fantasies remain just fantasies and never become reality.

Their strength compared to Xu Ke’s was vastly different, not even the slightest chance of winning.

Their supposedly fierce moves seemed full of flaws to Xu Ke, serving themselves up to be beaten.

In some sense, with battle skills as brittle as theirs, the fact that Xu Ke would mock them should be seen as a privilege.

But they were enraged and embarrassed, throwing themselves at Xu Ke desperately, yet he calmly dodged a few attacks, seeing them continue flailing mindlessly without a strategy or any progress.

Xu Ke was utterly fed up.

With just a few moves, the two men instantly collapsed on the ground, unable to get up again.

The Human Resources Director looked at Xu Ke approaching her in fear.

She heard it all. When Xu Ke was dealing with those two men, she heard the sound of bones cracking.

The sound made her scalp tingle, and goosebumps appeared all over her body, feeling more frightened than ever when facing Xu Ke alone.

Only now did she realize how terrifying Xu Ke was, as fearfully intense feelings began to well up within her.

"I’m telling you, don’t come any closer. If you do, I’ll call the police," the Human Resources Director warned Xu Ke, holding her phone.

"Call the police? Sure, let’s have the police come and see what you’ve done. Let’s see if they’ll punish you or me," Xu Ke’s gaze held no warmth as he looked at the Human Resources Director, like a machine’s cold, robotic stare.

The Human Resources Director, who had been about to call the police, froze, her face and actions stiffened at Xu Ke’s words, seeming to just now realize what she had been up to.

If she called the police, it would be like sending a lamb into the lion’s mouth.

Her frozen expression and motion made her look particularly comical, prompting Xu Ke to burst into laughter.

His laughter was so arrogant, tears even streamed from his eyes.

"Didn’t you want to call the police just now? Why aren’t you doing it? Need me to help?" Xu Ke said as he reached out to grab the phone from the Human Resources Director’s hand.

Instinctively, the Human Resources Director moved the phone behind her, blocking Xu Ke’s attempt to seize it.
