Supreme Heir Son-in-law

Chapter 796: Struggling Prey

Chapter 796: Struggling Prey

"What do you want to do to us? Isn’t it enough that you killed our children, and now you want to harm us too?" Hannah struggled to wriggle her limbs trying to escape, but instead of getting free, her movements only made the ropes binding her sway.

Panic is contagious. Maybe the other two hadn’t realized what Claude’s approach meant, but Hannah’s terrified tone, along with the swaying ropes, dragged them into a state of passive and unknown fear.

"Your children have simply repaid their debts, but your debts remain unsettled." Claude wasn’t in a hurry to harm them. He looked at the three of them with an appreciative and pleased gaze, speaking in a cheerful tone.

"My child is still so young, what debt could he owe?" Hannah recalled her son crushed by stones, and the fire of hatred in her chest was rekindled once more.

"My daughter is well-behaved, known as a top student at school, a good kid in the eyes of neighbors. How could she owe any debt? If you hate us, come at us, but targeting our children, don’t you feel guilty?" Nell abandoned any pretense. No mother could remain indifferent after witnessing their child’s tragic death.

"Do you really think your children have done nothing wrong? You can’t really believe that, can you?" Claude looked at the expressions of the three women, surprised to find that they actually thought so, which amused him again. He laughed just as he had the first time, making the women uneasy, unsure of what they had said to hit his funny bone.

However, Xu Ke knew what Claude was laughing about. If not for Claude showing him the crimes committed by the three children, he wouldn’t have killed them so brutally, not even leaving behind a complete corpse. These three scum didn’t deserve it.

Claude finally laughed enough, straightened his bent waist, wiped away tears from his eyes, and said: "Haven’t you thought about it? Could three such despicable seeds really have produced such outstanding, perfect children? They are nothing but scum and vermin of society." Claude looked at the three women with a mocking gaze as he spoke.

"Let me tell you what ’good deeds’ your children have done." Claude took a step forward, targeting Hannah first.

"You were the first to be brought here, so I’ll start with your son. Your son used to race cars at midnight with his friends. Actually, there’s nothing wrong with racing in a secluded area, but your son sped on the roads. Just last year, he killed five people and buried them in a secluded spot."

"Aside from those he intentionally ran over, there were also people who offended him at school. He caught them and tied them to his car, dragging them to death, letting them die in extreme pain, without a single piece of intact flesh left."

The description of the child from Claude’s words estranged Hannah. She shook her head, clearly disbelieving Claude’s words. "You’re lying, my child isn’t like that. He’s just immature with some childish temper. The worst place he’s been is a nightclub; he couldn’t possibly kill." Hannah vehemently denied with her hoarse voice.

"It doesn’t matter if you don’t admit it. Facts are facts, and they can’t be denied. Just because you don’t admit it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist." Claude shrugged nonchalantly and shifted his gaze to Nell.

"You were the second to be captured, so I’ll talk about your daughter next."

"No matter what you say, I won’t believe it. I know my daughter, I know how excellent and sensible she is. You can’t shake me." Nell looked at Claude with a determined expression.

"As you wish, but I’ll still say it. Do you know why your daughter consistently maintains the top grades? Because she collaborates with others to cheat, and everyone who scores higher than her always encounters some mishap. At best, they get hurt or food poisoned and sent to the hospital, but at worst, they suffer mental breakdowns or even meet their demise." Claude spoke.

"Your daughter eliminates all the people she dislikes or who overshadow her, just like you did. Whatever others care about, she destroys it. She got someone to assault a Catholic girl, leading that girl to lose her mind and eventually commit suicide in a mental hospital. That girl was just the most insignificant case in your daughter’s harmful career. She started using such methods in middle school, imagine how many people she has ruined or killed since then."

The girl depicted by Claude’s words sent chills down the spine of the other two women.

"You’re lying, my daughter isn’t that kind of person, you’re lying and deceiving me!" Nell shouted in disbelief, her voice grating like sandpaper on a blackboard.

"Believe it or not, you’re already my prisoner, and your daughter is dead. Why would I have any reason to lie to you? If it makes you feel better to think that way, I have no objections."

Claude turned his attention to the last woman, who was the third to be brought in. Her mental state seemed better than the first two, though it was only relative.

"What do you want to tell me? Do you want to say what my child did? My child has been introverted since childhood, hiding from strangers. He couldn’t possibly harm anyone; it’s enough for others not to harm him." Carmen smirked slightly, as if implying, "Let’s see what you can come up with."

"Your son is indeed introverted. At first, I thought he was an honest person. I wondered how he could have a mother like you and still be so different. He didn’t show a trace of your traits. Was it a genetic mutation? Later, I realized that the offspring of scum, no matter how harmless they seem, are still scum." Claude spoke with a light tone.

"Do you know about his past of torturing and killing animals?" Claude asked.

"It’s just some animals. So what if he killed them? They weren’t endangered animals. You can’t justifiably murder my child in such a cruel way because of that, can you?" Carmen’s mother loudly questioned.
