Supreme Heir Son-in-law

Chapter 1006 - 1005: Borrowing Money

Chapter 1006 - 1005: Borrowing Money

Tangtang and Guoguo have very strong personalities. Once they make a decision, it’s like trying to stop ten oxen. So, if they hadn’t encountered something unsolvable outside, they would never bow to me and ask to borrow this money.

Thinking about Tangtang and Guoguo possibly being scolded and suffering where I can’t see, or even getting hurt, Xu Ke felt a strange sadness and heartache.

Honestly, although he hasn’t spent much time with Tangtang and Guoguo, he truly treats them as his own sisters in his heart.

Thinking about his sisters being wronged outside with no one to talk to, he couldn’t help but feel heartache.

In just a few blinks, Xu Ke’s mind had already imagined many scenes of them suffering hardships outside.

"Sure, how much do you need?" Xu Ke asked straightforwardly.

"Not much, just lend us 30,000 yuan for now, along with the 300,000 we previously owe you, we’ll owe you 330,000 in total. Rest assured, we’ll definitely remember this debt and pay you back," Guoguo stated firmly.

Over the phone, hearing how clearly Guoguo calculated everything, Xu Ke couldn’t help but furrow his brows. This behavior of hers was essentially pushing him away.

Secretly, Xu Ke doesn’t want Guoguo to keep accounts so clearly between them, but he’s also aware that Guoguo won’t listen to him.

If he said not to worry about the money, they’d probably cut off contact immediately. Xu Ke knew this without much thought.

Even though his mind was filled with thoughts, in the end, Xu Ke could only bury all his words and say, "No need to rush to repay me; I’m not short of money."

Xu Ke’s words left Guoguo momentarily speechless, resulting in a silence between them. Previously, they were so open with each other, their relationship was so good, but now it’s turned into mutual silence.

Guoguo felt momentarily awkward, or uncomfortable. How did their relationship end up like this?

Ah yes, it’s because Xu Ke is a thorough hypocrite. He deceived them and hurt them.

Although he once saved them, that doesn’t negate the harm he did.

Like realizing something, the gloom on Guoguo’s face disappeared, and she looked spirited, even with sparks burning in her eyes.

"Whether you need the money or not, I’ll definitely repay it later, so I urgently need it now. Please send the money quickly," Guoguo said bluntly.

After all, she wasn’t defaulting on repayment, so why act so humbly and low? Understanding this, Guoguo becomes more justified.

Although Xu Ke doesn’t know what Guoguo was thinking, he could discern her current state from her tone.

Guoguo seems to be like a rooster pumped up with adrenaline, standing tall, full of fighting spirit.

Xu Ke didn’t understand why she became like this, but he was still comforted.

He’d rather Guoguo and Tangtang be like resilient roosters than be bullied outside and shrink in fear.

"Okay, I’ll send the money right away. Give me your account number, or should I send it to your old account?" Xu Ke asked.

Since Tangtang and Guoguo left, Xu Ke moved out of the house they shared but still kept an eye on them.

He noticed their bank card hadn’t been used, seemingly due to completely cutting ties with him, along with not being able to reach their old phone numbers.

Whether blocking him or abandoning the phone number, seeing them call from an unknown number, he figured they discarded their old phone card.

Though he guessed it earlier, when the truth unfolded, Xu Ke found he was still a bit affected.

On the other end of the call, Guoguo paused briefly.

Their bank cards were discarded when they left the house, and the money had long been withdrawn and transferred to another card.

Actually, if possible, Tangtang and Guoguo didn’t want any interaction with Xu Ke, but now they had to share their account number.

Thinking about this, Guoguo reported her bank account number with an annoyed expression.

When Xu Ke heard the account number, he didn’t write it down but memorized it instead.

"Do you need to write it down?" Guoguo asked, not hearing any writing from Xu Ke over the phone.

"No need, I memorized it all." Xu Ke repeated Guoguo’s account number.

After recalling, Guoguo confirmed Xu Ke didn’t get it wrong, so she didn’t say more.

"Well, since you memorized my account, hurry and send the money. I urgently need it, and if there’s nothing else, let’s hang up. Also, avoid contacting us," Guoguo coldly stated.

The doctor listening in didn’t quite agree with Guoguo.

He’d never seen a young girl ask for money so confidently, which gave him a poor impression of Guoguo.

He hadn’t expected these seemingly cute and pitiful girls to be like this.

They seemed unaware of gratitude.

Though the doctor thought this, he didn’t take action against Tangtang and Guoguo or show it on his face.

His gaze, however, lost its previous warmth when looking at them.

Guoguo sensed the doctor’s change in attitude but didn’t mind, as they were just strangers.

Regarding strangers, they paid little attention, so they didn’t care about his gaze.
