Chapter 450: Attitude!

In no time, news of Yang Ming and Wang Pingchuan kneeling at the Dragon Gate spread throughout the Sect. Everyone was discussing the matter. In the hearts of the Jinglei Sect disciples, Long Chen’s status skyrocketed.

Now that Shi Tongtian had been defeated by Long Chen, everyone was secretly wondering just how intense a fight between Long Chen and their young master would be, and who the ultimate victor would be. Of course, they only dared to discuss such things in private and would never speak of them openly.

"Got it." Long Xin nodded and smiled. "This injury was worth it."

"How so?" Long Chen looked at her curiously.

Long Xin smiled and said, "At least I successfully passed the examination, didn’t I? Now, I can join you in the Domain Alliance competition."

Hearing this, Long Chen’s heart grew heavy. He suddenly recalled what Tang Le had said, and a mix of complex feelings washed over him. He stroked Long Xin’s head. "Silly girl, I will never leave you, no matter what. So, don’t feel any pressure. As long as you’re safe and sound, that’s all that matters. Do you understand?"

"Alright." Long Xin nodded and snuggled against Long Chen’s shoulder.

After a moment, Long Chen stood up. "You should rest. Call me if you need anything."

"Got it," Long Xin nodded obediently.

After leaving the room, Long Chen found Tang Le in a pavilion. At that moment, Tang Le was lounging in a rocking chair, holding a jug of wine and pouring it directly into his mouth, looking utterly content.

Suddenly, a voice reached his ears. "Enjoying the good life, aren’t we?"

Tang Le turned his head and saw Long Chen approaching. He smiled slightly and tossed a jug of wine toward him.

Long Chen reached out and caught the jug firmly. He opened the lid and took a large swig.

"Good wine!" Long Chen praised, then sat down beside Tang Le. "Why are you drinking alone out here?"

"What else am I supposed to do?" Tang Le retorted. "With you two gone, I’m about to grow mold from boredom. There’s no fun at all."

Long Chen chuckled at that. He knew Tang Le wasn’t fond of cultivation, so drinking was a quick way for him to pass the time.

Tang Le then asked, "Is Long Xin alright now?"

"She’s fine," Long Chen shook his head in response.

"That’s good." Tang Le knew there would be no issues with Long Chen handling the healing. He suddenly remembered something and said, "By the way, those two guys are still kneeling at the entrance."

"Hm? They haven’t left yet?" Long Chen asked, surprised.

"Nope." Tang Le grinned. "They said they absolutely must see you; otherwise, they’ll kneel there forever. Seriously, you’ve got some real clout. I bet you’re the only one in this entire Sect with the power to make them kneel so willingly."

With that, Long Chen headed toward the entrance.

Yang Ming and Wang Pingchuan were still kneeling. After so long, a numb pain throbbed in their knees.

Wang Pingchuan glanced at Yang Ming. "I’m just fulfilling my part of the bet. You don’t have to stay here this long, do you?"

"My business is none of your concern," Yang Ming responded coldly. "I’ll kneel here for as long as I want."

Hearing this, Wang Pingchuan’s mouth twitched. He hadn’t expected Yang Ming to be so shameless. Seeing that Yang Ming had made his stance clear, Wang Pingchuan said no more.

Yang Ming shot a sideways glance at Wang Pingchuan. How could I not know Wang Pingchuan wants me gone? That way, he’d have a better chance to latch onto Long Chen’s coattails. There’s no way I’m letting him get what he wants so easily. If anyone’s going to succeed, it’s going to be me!

Just then, a figure suddenly appeared before them. Upon seeing Long Chen finally arrive, both Wang Pingchuan and Yang Ming’s faces lit up with excitement.

"Boss!" Wang Pingchuan called out respectfully, knowing his place.

Long Chen looked at them coolly. "What are you still doing kneeling here?"

Wang Pingchuan quickly replied, "I already swore yesterday that I would follow your every command! From now on, I’m your man!"

Yang Ming hurriedly chimed in, "I’m also willing to be your follower! I’ll do whatever you ask. I’ll even place the entire Baiyue Sect at your disposal!"

Long Chen spoke indifferently, "Being my follower isn’t so simple."
