Supreme Dragon Lord

Chapter 440 Panshi!

Chapter 440 Panshi!

Long Chen offered a faint smile and said nothing more. With a slight bow to Lei Yujing, he departed and returned to the Dragon Gate.

He wanted to see how the Dragon Gate had changed during his month of secluded cultivation.

Walking through the marketplace, he saw shops displaying numerous Elixir Pills supplied by the Dragon Gate, all of which were selling exceptionally well. Long Chen felt a sense of satisfaction at the sight. After dealing with Wang Pingchuan, he had immediately entered seclusion with Lei Yujing, leaving all Dragon Gate affairs in the hands of Long Xin, Tang Le, Qi Yuanchen, and the others.

As Long Chen walked through the market, he was quickly recognized. Everyone immediately adopted expressions of reverence, bowing in unison toward him.

"Gate Master!"

Long Chen glanced at them, noticing they were all new faces.

"Gate Master, we are new members who haven’t been with the Dragon Gate for long," one of them said.

"We never expected to meet you here. It is truly an honor!" another chimed in.

As more and more people came forward to pay their respects, Long Chen smiled faintly. He was surprised that so many new members had joined during his absence, a truly unexpected development.

"Thank you for trusting the Dragon Gate and choosing to join us," Long Chen suddenly announced, offering his assurance to the crowd. "As long as you support us, I promise the Dragon Gate will not let any of you down!"

"Yes!" the Dragon Gate disciples present clapped and cheered.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Long Chen left the market and headed toward the Dragon Gate’s headquarters.

The moment he returned, he saw Long Xin, Tang Le, and the others coming to greet him.

"Brother!" Upon seeing Long Chen, Long Xin’s pretty face broke into a wide smile. She rushed forward and threw her arms around him in a tight hug. Not having seen him for a month, she had missed him terribly. She held on for a long time, unwilling to let go.

Long Chen chuckled and patted her head. "Alright now, haven’t you hugged me enough?"

"Of course not," Long Xin said coquettishly. "It’s been a month since I last saw you. I don’t want to leave your side for a single moment. Brother, can you carry me on your back?"

Hearing this, Long Chen shook his head with a smile. Instead of pushing her away, he complied, effortlessly lifting her onto his back. A joyous smile spread across Long Xin’s face; she was utterly delighted.

Tang Le walked up to Long Chen, looked him over, and said, "Brother Long, it seems your cultivation has advanced significantly during your seclusion."

"It’s alright," Long Chen replied with a smile.

Tang Le shook his head. "You’re a monster! A true Evil Creature! I feel like I’ll need to train hard for another year just to have a chance of catching up to you."

Long Chen advised, "Cultivation is a slow and steady process that cannot be rushed. Every step must be taken with care."

"Don’t worry, I know what to do," Tang Le said with a grin. "I’m just sighing in admiration. How else can I properly emphasize how incredible you are?"

"You and your smart mouth," Long Chen said, shaking his head.

Long Xin suddenly piped up, "Brother, let’s ignore Fatty Tang. I haven’t seen any flowers in so long. Take me to see them."

Hearing this, Tang Le was not pleased. He placed his hands on his hips and glared at Long Xin, protesting, "Oh, is that so, Long Xin? Let’s get something straight. Who’s been taking the best care of you this whole month? I looked after you so well, yet I don’t even compare to a tiny piece of him? I see your true colors now! You’d choose a guy over your friends in a heartbeat..."

"In my eyes, no one can compare to my brother." Long Xin blinked, her arms tightening around Long Chen’s neck as she pressed herself closer against his back.

"You..." Hearing her words, Tang Le was rendered speechless.

What a complete waste of my kindness!

Long Xin made a face at Tang Le, then said to Long Chen, "Brother, let’s go!"

"Alright, then." Long Chen agreed, and carrying Long Xin, he walked away.

Under Long Xin’s guidance, Long Chen arrived at a garden. The air here, filled with the sound of chirping birds and the fragrance of flowers, was soothing to the soul.

Long Chen gazed at the floral scenery, and his mood brightened considerably. Indeed, one’s mood could change with their environment. Even though the effect wasn’t profound for him, it was enough.

"How is it?" Long Xin leaned close to his ear. "This place I found isn’t bad, is it?"

"It’s quite beautiful," Long Chen nodded.

"This spot is perfect," Long Xin said. "You can put me down now. We can just sit here, look at the flowers, and chat for a while. It’ll be nice."

"Okay." Respecting her wishes, Long Chen gently set her down.

Long Xin leaned against Long Chen’s shoulder as a soft breeze rustled past. Strands of her fragrant hair drifted before his face, and he reached out to gently brush them aside.

Lifting her head, Long Xin gazed at him, her eyes brimming with affection. "Brother."

"Hmm?" Long Chen hummed in response, lowering his head to look at her.

The moment he did, however, her soft lips pressed against his.

In that instant, Long Chen’s mind went blank. Her soft lips, full of deep affection, were kissing him.

"Xin’er!" As if struck by a sudden realization, Long Chen abruptly stood up.

Long Xin was stunned, looking at him in confusion. "Brother, what’s wrong?"

"I..." Long Chen stammered, not knowing how to answer.

Sensing a change, Long Xin’s heart sank. "Brother, have you started to dislike me?"

"Silly girl, how could I ever dislike you?" Long Chen quickly replied, afraid she would get the wrong idea.

Long Xin challenged him, "Then why did you pull away?"

Long Chen shook his head, truly at a loss for how to answer.

"Brother, do you remember what I told you before?" Sensing the shift in his attitude, Long Xin felt her heart plummet, but her voice remained firm. "I said that in this lifetime, I will only marry you!"

Long Chen took a deep breath and said slowly, "Xin’er, to me, you have always been my sister."

"Between us..."

Before Long Chen could finish, a violent gust of wind swept toward them. In an instant, the vibrant flower petals were torn from their stems and scattered on the wind, and the gale showed no signs of stopping.

Long Chen turned and, with a wave of his hand, dissipated the fierce gust.

The next moment, he turned his head, his gaze immediately locking onto a group of men and women standing not far away. His brows furrowed. That gust of wind had seemed like a natural phenomenon, but it contained a lethally sharp Qi Force. If he hadn’t stopped it in time, the force within the wind would have surely drawn blood.

Just then, a man with an arrogant expression stared at Long Chen. "So, you’re the leader of that so-called Dragon Gate, Long Chen?"

"Who are you?" Long Chen’s tone turned frigid, clearly displeased with their earlier action.

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

In a flash, several figures appeared before Long Chen.

The man stared intently at him and said coolly, "Listen up, kid. We are from Panshi."

Panshi!

Long Chen was, of course, aware of this organization. Within the Jinglei Sect, there were three major organizations: the Baiyue Sect, the Medicine Pavilion, and Panshi. And now, the Medicine Pavilion had been replaced by his Dragon Gate.

Panshi was the most powerful organization in the Jinglei Sect.

Since entering the Sect, Long Chen had never dealt with anyone from Panshi. He hadn’t expected to encounter them here.
