Chapter 321: I’m Waiting for You

Chapter 321: I’m Waiting for You

An Ran stared blankly at the childhood photos of Chi Cheng.Darn it, why does every childhood photo of Chi Cheng seem so familiar?

It’s like I’ve seen them somewhere...

Where exactly have I seen them?

An Ran shook her head.

What am I even thinking?

How could I have possibly seen Chi Cheng as a child?

"Honey, is the Chi Cheng kid not coming back this weekend?"

"Yeah, he just called me, said he has a date tonight and is going to the movies."

"Wow, really in love? Which girl?"

"Who knows, just let him be. This kid has had his own ideas since young, he’ll tell us when the time is right."

An Ran’s eyelashes suddenly trembled.

She silently put down her chopsticks.

-

Back in her room, An Ran tossed and turned on the bed.

She tried reading her favorite novel, but soon lost focus.

Ugh, so annoying!

Just yesterday, she was adamant that Chi Cheng should focus his energy on other women, and now...

No, no, he’s going to be my future brother!

An Ran kept brainwashing herself.

Oh my, does she really have a masochistic tendency?

An Ran sat up abruptly.

After a moment of thought, she changed her clothes and went downstairs.

"Mom, do you have anything you need me to buy outside?"

An Mom was watching TV and turned to look at An Ran, "Nope."

"Are you sure?"

"Oh right, we’re almost out of salt at home..."

"I’ll go buy it now!" An Ran turned and ran out.

-

After exiting the subway, An Ran’s gaze kept sweeping across Times Square.

The cinema is on the fifth floor of Times Square.

She took the escalator up and watched from a distance.

Among the bustling crowd, she couldn’t spot that familiar figure.

Glancing down at her phone, they should be arriving soon.

She had purposely arrived over ten minutes early to avoid missing them...

Suddenly, a clear voice came from beside her, "Looking for something?"

She turned her head and looked.

"Ah—" An Ran was startled.

It was Chi Cheng!!

"Answer me, what are you looking for?"

An Ran bit her lip, "Nothing, I was just passing by, my mom sent me out to buy salt."

"Oh? The supermarket is on the basement level."

"I—I just wanted to stroll around first, get some air," An Ran replied awkwardly.

Chi Cheng chuckled quietly.

An Ran quickly lowered her head, "Then what are you doing out here? Trying to scare people for fun?"

"I was waiting for you."

An Ran looked up in surprise, "Waiting for me for what?"

Besides, how was he so sure she would come?

"Waiting to watch a movie with you."

"!!" An Ran took a step back, "What are you talking about? What about Teacher Han?"

"There is no Teacher Han." Chi Cheng leaned in, his smile captivating, "It’s just you and me."

An Ran was dumbfounded...

"Let’s go." Chi Cheng took out two movie tickets.

It was for a different movie series.

But the movie time was fifteen minutes earlier than the one Han Ningmou had invited him to see.

Chi Cheng seemed to have calculated everything perfectly, glanced at his watch, "Hmm, just in time for the start. Little Ranran, you showed up right on cue."

Oh my.

An Ran felt completely under Chi Cheng’s control.

Panicking, she quickly turned around, "I don’t know what you’re talking about, I was just passing by, and I don’t want to watch any movie with you, you should wait for Teacher Han, she should be arriving soon."

Chi Cheng grabbed An Ran’s arm.

His eyes twinkled with amusement, "But I only want to watch with you, what should I do?"
