Chapter 1155 - 1161: Coincidence (Part 1)

An Ran’s mood felt like she was on a rollercoaster at an amusement park, plunging from the highest point to the lowest.Silently, yet her heart seemed to have shattered.

Her brother saw her having dinner with another man and was completely indifferent...

Did he really not care at all?

Chi Cheng suggested they break up; though An Ran couldn’t accept it, she was still willing to consider it from his perspective.

But even if they truly separated, how could he just not care?

Were the past feelings and warmth all false?

Once they part, could he really withdraw so easily?

The rich taste of the wine lingered in her mouth, yet An Ran still tasted a hint of bitterness.

Teacher Jiang sat across from her, but she had no desire to liven up the atmosphere.

She didn’t even want to speak.

Jiang Yinuo stared at Chi Cheng’s back, lost in thought.

Suddenly, he looked at An Ran and smiled, "Let’s call it a night; I’ll take you home."

"Huh?" An Ran lifted her head suddenly, "But Teacher Jiang, you haven’t even touched your steak."

"When you have no appetite, how can I have one?"

Hearing this, An Ran felt incredibly guilty, "I... I’m really sorry."

She invited him for a meal but ended up distracted and glum the entire time.

"Everyone has times of negative emotion. If you don’t want it, don’t force yourself, because I can accommodate you."

"Teacher Jiang..."

Jiang Yinuo stood up, "Shall we go?"

An Ran put down her knife and fork and stood up too, "I didn’t expect today to turn out this way. Next time, next time I’ll invite you again."

"Mr.?" Jiang Yinuo couldn’t help but laugh, "Am I that old?"

"Ah, no." An Ran quickly shook her head, flustered and eager to explain, "I say that out of respect since you’re a senior."

They walked side by side out.

Jiang Yinuo glanced sideways at An Ran, "Speaking of which, I’m only five years older than you; stop calling me Teacher Jiang, it makes me feel guilty, like I’m a bad teacher enticing a female student out for dinner."

An Ran smiled at him, "It really does feel a bit like that. But I’m used to calling you Teacher Jiang, and you are my teacher, after all."

Jiang Yinuo chuckled and shook his head, choosing not to argue with An Ran about the title.

Though Jiang Yinuo also drove, he couldn’t after drinking.

He arranged for a driver to take An Ran home first.

Passing a fast-food place, Jiang Yinuo asked the driver to pull over.

Then he turned to An Ran, "Wait for me in the car."

When he returned, he had a paper bag with him.

"Here you go." Jiang Yinuo handed the bag to An Ran, "Got you some sandwiches; you didn’t eat, and I was afraid you’d be hungry when you got home."

The warm food in the bag warmed An Ran’s small hands.

An Ran quickly thanked him, "Thank you, Teacher Jiang. I promised to treat you, but now you had to buy me something..."

Now she felt even more guilty.

With sincerity, An Ran said, "Why don’t you tell me a free time, and I’ll invite you again."

"Okay." Jiang Yinuo nodded with a smile, "I’ll let you know when I’m free."
