Chapter 1060 - 1056: Learning the Truth (5)
The date mentioned by those friends made Chi Cheng’s expression somewhat inscrutable.Though his lips were still curved in a smile, the aura he emitted was cold.
The few people opposite him grew up with Chi Cheng and naturally understood his temperament.
This man, although his handsome face always wore a gentle, warm smile, seemed approachable.
But in reality, no one could truly enter his heart.
Only those who knew him well understood how terrifying he could be when angry.
He was someone who could smile while putting you in a deadly situation.
An Ran couldn’t figure it out, and she turned her gaze to the group of teenagers.
Last time her brother brought her here, though she had met them, they hadn’t been introduced properly.
The only one she remembered was the tall, thin guy with dyed red hair.
It seemed... his nickname was Monkey.
The guy noticed An Ran looking at him and cheekily said, "Hello, sister-in-law."
So that’s it, Brother Chi brought his little girlfriend back.
This little girlfriend is really something.
Probably no one else but this girl could make Chi Cheng visit this seaside town on any day besides December 6th.
Every year he comes to this seaside town on December 6th.
Aside from that, he never visits again.
This has always been Chi Cheng’s habit.
But this young girl changed that.
Hearing Monkey call her that, the others quickly approached, joining in.
Though they were laughing, there was still a hint of respect in their tone.
An Ran blushed slightly, "Hello everyone..."
The boys seemed approximately her age, perhaps even older.
Yet, because her brother was here, they respectfully called her "sister-in-law."
It was rather amusing.
The group of teenagers gathered around Chi Cheng but were chatting away with An Ran.
Chi Cheng finally spoke, "You all be mindful, don’t scare her."
"Okay, okay, we know, sister-in-law isn’t familiar with us yet. That’s because we haven’t officially introduced ourselves," said a boy wearing glasses as he looked at Chi Cheng. "Brother Chi, since you’re here now, and didn’t join us last time, you can’t refuse us today, right?"
Chi Cheng didn’t reply immediately, instead he turned to An Ran, his gaze soft as he asked, "Do you want to stay?"
Red-haired Monkey chattered, "Sister-in-law, persuade Brother Chi to stay, we really want to get to know you better."
Chi Cheng tucked An Ran’s wind-blown hair behind her ear, "You don’t have to pay attention to them. Stay if you want, if you feel uncomfortable, we can leave, okay?"
An Ran thought it over and replied earnestly, "I’m fine with either."
Tomorrow is the weekend; the tutoring classes take a break on weekends too.
As long as they’re back by tomorrow morning, it’s fine, since she has to visit her mom at the hospital.
The boy with glasses adjusted his glasses on his nose and smiled at Chi Cheng, "Sister-in-law has spoken, you should stay."
Chi Cheng ruffled An Ran’s hair, "Let’s go, I’ll take you to eat something nice."
An Ran nodded, "Okay!"
The whole crowd jovially headed toward a restaurant.
An Ran had barely walked a couple of steps when she suddenly seemed to remember something, "Ah, my bag is still in the car."
Her phone was in the bag.
Monkey immediately jumped up, eagerly saying, "Sister-in-law, wait here, I’ll get it for you."
