Chapter 159: Extremity Of Self Consumption

Chapter 159: Extremity Of Self Consumption

Theoretically, Spectral Boars could consume themselves, and make the Tangible Nature version of themselves to consume another body of theirs.

However, as Pranic Beasts, they only had one body, so this wasn’t possible.

And even if another Wean Clansman were to appear within the Spectral Boar family, able to progress through the Life Stage and could use their extra bodies for the same purpose, there was time and cost of growth involved.

It was possible for them, yes, but would take at least a century or two for the entire process to conclude, during which they had to basically remain powerless, which wasn’t realistic.

However, for Torq, he had his Pets to rely on. This was already a cheat, but when in the hands of a Spectral Boar, the cheat became broken.

Urgh!

Sweat dripped down his face as the nightmarish symptoms he experienced every time he closed his eyes grew worse. His hunger escalated to uncontrollable levels while his urges to peel facial skins couldn’t be held back any longer.

Without hesitation, Torq ripped off his facial skin and threw it in his mouth, repeating the action repeatedly like pulling out tissues from a tissue box. ’The influence is already insane at this level.’

The Tangible Nature in his stomach was now growing another Tangible Nature. If it were to be called the Second Generation Tangible Nature, Torq wanted to reach at least the Fourth Generation, by which point, he would succeed.

’The moment I succeed, I can erase them.’ He gripped the windowsill tighter, feeling his body shiver. Suddenly, he flinched upon seeing the corpse of a man fall from above.

A couple seconds later, the gruff man peered from above the windowsill, "Are you unhurt, champ?"

Seeing Torq nod, the gruff man vanished, "Be careful."

Torq immediately leaned through the window and stared up, watching the gruff man clutching the tree bark to rapidly pace up the tree’s exterior.

The corpse that dropped down was another assassin sent to target him, ’This is already the fifth assassin. However, none of them are on the same level as the one that appeared during my birth.’

His stomach had reacted from hunger the strongest to that assassin. ’He was competent enough to evade the senses of both mother and grandfather. Only the Chief could sense him.’

It was an individual who had reached the State of Harmony, ’That’s why only the Chief could perceive him.’

The Wean Clan only had one existence with a State of Harmony, and that was the Wean Chief, KalTara.

The Varahan Empire, on the other hand, had dozens of such existences, which was why the civil war was never ending. The Wean Clan had the advantage of their Pranic Beast transformations. Their sheer, massive bodies alone, was a weapon against their enemies.

That was their greatest advantage. It was why they didn’t lose out despite having only one existence with a State of Harmony. The Wean Clan also had existences with high Life Stage cultivation, significantly dwarfing the Varahan Empire’s side where even the strongest existences only had a 2-Life Stage cultivation.

’Both sides have their strengths and weaknesses and are actively trying to increase their strength while reducing their weakness.’ Torq thought as he wiped his sweat and took a seat on the floor, ’I should begin adapting to this stress.’

There was a method, which was why he had embarked upon such a plan in the first place. It was the cultivation technique used by the Wean Clansmen, one that allowed the Prana and blood of the user to imprint their characteristics upon each other.

Mystic Sumatra Art!

By imprinting the influence permeating through the Prana upon the blood, the blood will react and modify itself as a vessel to better carry the respective bubble of Prana.

Similarly, the blood will imprint its characteristic upon the Prana, causing the user’s genetic traits to accumulate upon it, which will stabilise the Spirit Container better.

And this accumulation, as the Spirit Container continues to grow, will then be imprinted upon the blood, ending up improving one’s genetics.

In this manner, the respective individual will keep elevating their genetics until they perfect it and reach the pinnacle existence of their respective race. Basically, even an untalented individual, upon diligent cultivation, could become the greatest genius of their race.

Mystic Sumatra Art was a universal cultivation technique used primarily by Wean Clansmen. However, most Pranic Beasts could use it too and grow to become the best of their race.

The day he was born, MyuraBuntara infused the knowledge of Mystic Sumatra Art in his mind space. Therefore, as his body and mind grew, they got moulded by the cultivation technique to better accommodate its effects.

As he activated the cultivation technique, Torq found his condition becoming a tad more bearable, ’It’s a slow process, but as long as I keep at it, I’ll succeed.’

Seven months after birth, Torq adapted to the stress from the Second Generation Tangible Nature of himself. He consumed another DaraBuntara Pet and formed the Third Generation Tangible Nature of himself.

GRRRR!

Even though he was wide awake, Torq began to hallucinate the theatre, finding himself stuck on the stage in another play of torture. The hallucination flickered in and out of existence.

"My son!" MyuraBuntara rushed to his assistance, hurriedly pouring a vial of medicine down his throat, "I purchased this Influence Easing Elixir specifically for you from the Cooter Clan! Drink it!"

As the Elixir worked its effects, a semblance of clarity returned to his mind. Torq only saw the theatre appear in his vision once every few seconds now, unlike every alternate second before, ’This is...more bearable.’

"Thwhank you, Mmother." He said, feeling pain in his heart upon seeing MyuraBuntara plop on the floor before him and sob uncontrollably.

"Why...why is life so harsh to you?" She hugged him dear, speaking with reddened eyes, "Give me some time, my baby! Mother will do everything in her power to cure you."

Every single day, other than suffering his escalatingly worsening influence issues, Torq endured the nightmares of the mind that plunged him once every few seconds into the theatre, bleeding and other plaguing factors of the body alongside rampant peeling of his facial skin, and an omniscient heaviness to the core of his existence, as if his soul was weighed down.

His hunger had grown to the extent he was consuming food nonstop, at speeds even his voracious self couldn’t keep up anymore. And steadily, his body was beginning to grow thinner and thinner.

One year since his birth!

’This is the last...!’ Torq had been waiting for a suitable time all along, having barely managed to get his bearings under control. His mother had been beside him all along. And in the short minute she had gotten up to satisfy her bodily needs, he took action.

Another Pet of himself appeared next to him, which he promptly consumed to create the Fourth Generation Tangible Nature of himself. And then, his hunger grew to such an extent that it began to eat his body from the inside out.

Plop!

He collapsed amidst intense exhaustion, feeling himself rapidly plummet through layers of the theater and suffer through dozens of torture session simultaneously.

All he heard in the last moments was the mournful scream of his mother. And then, he fell into a vegetative state.
