Substitute Bride: Utterly Pampered by Her Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1431: Getting Her Tonight

Chapter 1431: Getting Her Tonight

Why did he ask her to go upstairs, and even enter his room?

Celeste wanted to refuse, but Ethan Barnes strode upstairs directly, indicating he was waiting for her there.

Celeste: "..."

Dominic’s mom: "Angel, your brother is calling you, go upstairs and see what he needs."

Dominic’s dad: "I can see it now; Angel, your brother really cares for you, the bond between you siblings is very strong."

Hearing this, Celeste had no choice but to head upstairs to avoid any suspicion.

...

In the room upstairs, Celeste stood at the door and knocked. The door soon opened, and Ethan Barnes appeared.

"Why did you call for me?" Celeste asked irritably.

"Come in." Ethan Barnes grabbed Celeste’s wrist and pulled her inside, locking the door behind them.

"Say what you have to quickly, my husband and parents are right outside," Celeste said impatiently.

Ethan Barnes pursed his thin lips, "I’m giving you a chance now."

"What chance?"

"The chance to apologize to me. If you say sorry now and admit you were wrong about treating me like a fool in the kitchen earlier, I’ll reluctantly forgive you," Ethan Barnes said arrogantly.

Celeste laughed angrily, "Is that why you called me here? How childish can you be?"

"I’m not apologizing; I wasn’t wrong," Celeste firmly refused.

"You..."

"What do you mean ’you’, Ethan? Everything I have now is because of you. My husband and I were living a good life until you showed up and ruined it. You harm me, yet expect me to be grateful, appease you, and apologize. Are you insane or am I the one with problems?"

Ethan Barnes witnessed her sharp tongue for the first time. Over the past five years, her boldness had truly grown; she dared to talk back to him.

Ethan Barnes sneered coldly, "Celeste, you’re only bold in front of me; earlier with Dominic, you were as timid as a mouse, silent even if he were to hit you."

A mouse?

Celeste frowned, "Is that all? If yes, I’m leaving."

Celeste was about to leave.

But Ethan Barnes blocked her path with his tall figure, folding his arms and glancing her over, "Do you want to have a child?"

Celeste’s mind buzzed; she had no clue what game he was playing. Was he thinking of having a child just for fun?

Every time they were together, he was cautious, ensuring safety measures were in place, or watched her take contraceptives. His harem was abundant with beauties, yet no pregnancy rumors circulated; it was evident he didn’t wish for offspring.

But who was he? A lunatic, a devil. If he suddenly wanted a child to toy with, what then?

Celeste shook her head, "No, I don’t want any."

"That’s good," Ethan Barnes said, half-jokingly, "If you do wish to have a child, remember to come to me; I can help."

Psycho!

Celeste glared at him, turned, and left.

"Did I allow you to leave?" Ethan Barnes grabbed her from behind, burying his handsome face into her neck, starting to kiss.

Celeste struggled immediately, "What are you doing? Everyone is outside; don’t leave marks on me. Let go quickly!"

Ethan Barnes was brazen and domineering, "What are you afraid of? You need to look at others’ faces to be intimate with me? Even if they are here, I’d dare to perform on-site."

"You and Dominic better behave. If I find his hands on you, believe it or not, I’ll ruin him." he threatened coldly.

"I get it, let go!" Celeste pushed Ethan Barnes away and fled the room.

Upon escaping outside, she saw Dominic. Dominic had bloodshot eyes, watching her leave Ethan Barnes’s room disheveled, his fists clenched, wanting to storm in and confront Ethan.

But Celeste tugged at Dominic, whispering, "Dominic, let it go; you can’t take him on."

Since Ethan Barnes arrived, the area was fully surrounded; if he was displeased, it could be a bloodbath. Celeste didn’t want Dominic to make a futile sacrifice.

"You think I’m afraid of him? You’re my wife, and I’m not afraid of him; I’m willing to risk my life!" Dominic growled.

Just then, the door swung open with a "bang," and Ethan Barnes leaned lazily against the doorframe, hands in pockets, looking at Dominic. "Kid, looking for me?"

His arrogance fanned Dominic’s fury. Dominic wanted to charge in but Celeste held him firmly, "Dominic, don’t act rashly. Think of mom and dad; they’re downstairs!"

Mentioning his parents, Dominic hesitated, his strict parents were his biggest weakness.

Dominic shook off Celeste’s hand and strode back to his room.

"Dominic!" Celeste chased after him.

Ethan Barnes watched their retreating figures; how come he felt the sight of Celeste chasing after Dominic without a glance at him was so piercing?

...

Night.

Celeste lay in bed, suddenly feeling a weight on her; Dominic was pressing down on her.

"Dominic, what are you doing?" She raised her hand to push him away from her chest.

Dominic looked at her, "You’re my wife; can’t I touch you? Tonight I’ll have you fulfill your marital duties."

Marital duties?

It wasn’t that Celeste didn’t want to fulfill them; she didn’t want to under such circumstances. Moreover, Ethan Barnes’s warnings still echoed in her ears, she truly didn’t dare let Dominic touch her.

"Dominic, it’s late; let’s just sleep."

Dominic snorted coldly, "Why can Ethan Barnes do it and I can’t? Tonight I have to have you."

Saying that, Dominic started violently tearing her clothes.

Celeste struggled, "Dominic, don’t do this; if Ethan Barnes finds out..."

"Enough, shut up, stop mentioning him. I hate you bringing up another man while with me!" Dominic roared and raised his hand to slap Celeste.

Slap.

Celeste received a slap, turning her face sideways.

Dominic paused, shocked to see the red handprint on her face, then disbelief at his own hand; he couldn’t believe he actually struck Celeste.

He wasn’t like this; when did he become a man who hits his wife?

But it was all her fault; no man could tolerate his wife repeatedly cheating on him!
